QuotetueidjLooking at the code it's obvious Daco's patch breaks sending arguments (why am I not surprised). His "fix" zeroes out the nandbootinfo file after the arguments have been stored in it, so they are lost. the patch also fixes title booting on some wii's (i dont know why or w/e. it just does) as seen in some issue i had on my google code and wiiflow had (which uses the WII_Lby dacotaco - Coding
QuoteSifJarBootMii/boot2 is the only real brick protection available. Priiloader is mediocre at best. Recent releases can easily cause a brick when installing if the Wii it is being installed on doesn't have a WiFi connection setup. This is due to a bug in HBC, but the developer of Priiloader still insists on releasing updates with this bricking bug i should punch you in the face really. doby dacotaco - Homebrew General
im actually wondering what version he was using...by dacotaco - FixMii
those errors often mean the router is not accessable from the wii check your priiloader hacks check if the router's channel is 6 or 11 (11 recommended for nintendo products iirc) that, or the wifi module is just broke (if it can't even find a router in the settings then its def broken)by dacotaco - FixMii
i do recommend to install IOS58 and reinstall HBC 0.8 afterwards so that HBC will use 58 but the choice is yours ofc :)by dacotaco - FixMii
start all over again delete ios58 delete any HBC installed (keep bootmii and priiloader) reinstall IOS58 (with a new wad; dont use the old one. or use dopmii) install HBC over again using the latest hackmii (http://bootmii.org/download/) if it still freezes check the installer.log on your SDby dacotaco - FixMii
euh...what syscheck are you doing? using what program? i recommend dop-mii to do itby dacotaco - FixMii
wiimc gives that because its using an IOS that isn't 61 or 58. run a syscheck and post the results here (even though i have a good guess whats going on; a syscheck can never hurt)by dacotaco - FixMii
the flashing drive means bootmii ios (mini) couldn't find the files on SD (sd:/bootmii) the installer can place those files on the SD if neededby dacotaco - FixMii
Quotemdbrim Some are still living in the old world where we recommended NOT upgrading with Nintendo's official updates... now we recommend you DO upgrade with Nintendo's updates. often unofficial updaters are worse then the official nintendo update system (*cough*wankerShit*cough*)by dacotaco - FixMii
QuotetueidjPretty hypocritical for someone who once tried to shut down sites that were redistributing homebrew without the author's permission. hey, at least i gave a damn and added the note and say 187648894819 (aka, 2) times its actually illegal. nor do i ask money for something that is free & licensed to be free. you are comparing apples with oranges in which they only have 1 thing inby dacotaco - Feedback & Support
QuotemauifrogIs it up for dl. I will give it a try, I am told it fixes the install issue. google will tell you if it is?by dacotaco - Getting Started
Quotemauifrog I suggest you install priiloader 0.4 or install priiloader 0.6 using ios36 and what about my 0.7 BETA 1 :(by dacotaco - Getting Started
QuoteSifJarAnd I believe Daco fixed that bug somehow. well 0.7 BETA 1 seems to work 100% again thanks to my (hacky) fix :') also, priiloader 0.6 supports using IOS36 when AHBPROT isn't availableby dacotaco - FixMii
just a note priiloader does the following: does app want ahbprot? yes -> dont reload no -> is IOS58 stub ? no -> reload to 58 yes -> is IOS36 stub? no -> reload to 36 yes -> dont reload ios (tho this should be changed to IOS_ReloadIOS(IOS_GetVersion()); )by dacotaco - Homebrew Applications

QuoteSifJarBootMii isn't a cIOS IMO. This is of course debatable, but generally a cIOS is simply a patched version of an official IOS. BootMii/IOS is simply a loader for MINI, and is completely custom. MINI Is Not IOS (that's what MINI stands for), but if you think about it, its really the only TRUE cIOS, as it is 100% custom and replaces IOS. its easy. if you are hardcore and see ANY dby dacotaco - Old Announcements
Quote 2) Applications launched through Priiloader can not utilize the AHBPROT flag. Even if Priiloader is updated to set the flag, many people will fail to update Priiloader for quite a while. again, i dont set the flag. ios does. it sets the rights accordingly to what the system menu tmd says. i could adjust that but i wont for now(cause thats a fucking risky thing to do etc etc). thing is; iby dacotaco - Old Announcements

QuoteSolidMario7 3. a priiloader update with IOS 80 support about that... eventho i said on the google code page that updating is a bad idea; i didn't say it doesn't support 4.3 it can work with system menu 4.3 just fine (in theory. mind you i was running sneek which changes alot). i just dont support 4.3 officially yet cause its not 100% tested and could do anything for allby dacotaco - Homebrew General
