Now look at the key below it. It's called a "period". It's used to end sentences. Look at the but button under your capsby strongfan - Homebrew General
What? You install Tona's the same way you install all other apps.by strongfan - Homebrew General
In many threads, I notice people saying to use Starfall to skip the update partition on a Wii Disk. Just one problem: STARFALL HAS A HIGH CHANCE OF BRICKING YOUR WII! a VERRY high chance! On the other hand, Gecko OS, along with any homebrew app that launches games, can and will skip the update partition with virtually no risk to your Wii. People need to be aware of this!by strongfan - Homebrew General
QuoteDrLuckyno, wait... if it is a PAL Kart, it will go to 3.3 you can use starfall to skip the update! I'm tired of people saying to use starfall. STARFALL VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN BRICK YOUR WII. INSTEAD, ANY APP THAT RUNS GAME DISKS CAN AND WILL SKIP THE UPDATE. THIS INCLUDES GECKO OS, LIBWIIGAMELOAD, that one illegal loader that i will not mention, AND OCARINA!!!!by strongfan - Homebrew General
Be sure to STRONGLY remind him not to update! Also, the 3.4 version of the Twilight Hack will be deleted as soon as you shut down your Wii, so make sure you run the actual hack IMMEDIATELY!!!!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
ripway allows for Direct Downloads ;-)by strongfan - Homebrew General
I would imagine that being theoretically possible, but it would require ripping the update WAD from the disk. Go to GBATemp with that.by strongfan - The Junkyard
You forgot one thing: the Chintendo Viiby strongfan - Offtopic
QuoteDrLuckyFirst, the only flamming you'll get is over the Backup bit... there is no way we can know if you are actually saving the originals from your kids or just pirating the games... so edit that part out of your post... and I'll edit this art out of mine! cool Christmas present... be sure to teach him how to use all of that too.. If you wanna make it custom looking, check herby strongfan - Homebrew General
If you go to Hollywood Video, the first thing you rent there will be for free. Therefore, the only thing you'd have to pay for is gas for your car ;-)by strongfan - Homebrew General
Any region changer allows you to either changer your region OR downgrade.by strongfan - Homebrew General
w00t! The less bugs the better the recompiler will run(no dip).by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
I think that the TPHack would still find boot.dol, it just wouldn't install the channel. Try redownloading boot.dol and as a side note, don't expect to get any help with that Wad Installer here. Go somewhere else to ask that (hint: GBAsomething)by strongfan - Homebrew General
Seriously! We have textread, why not textedit? I'd mainly use it for a editing text files that contain Ocarina codes. Sure, we have WiiCM, but it doesn't let you modify codes. And while we're at it, why not binary files? It would be like, super simple.by strongfan - Offtopic
I'm pretty sure hooks still work with the Wii/Gamecube. How else do you explain Gecko OS?by strongfan - Software
And then you can downgrade to 3.2!by strongfan - Homebrew General
There is no point in making this a channel; one can just make a homebrew app of it. Also, I think it would be feasable. What it would do is it would browse the SD card, and when you make a selection, it would boot the Internet Channel with a hook-and-code that would tell the internet channel to load the .swf off of the SD card. Of course, I don't know much about hooks, so I don't knoby strongfan - Offtopic
It might be a bit faster if it used a Dynarec Recompiler. Wait- never mind; that would cause a violent crash on Super Mario 64. err... that remake of Super Mario Bros.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
3.3 blocks fakesigning. Luckily, Team Twiizers figured out another way to fakesign things! In otherwords: Do you have the latest version of the Homebrew Channel Installer? If not, then it won't work.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
...You couldn't have tried another SD card?by strongfan - Offtopic
If you do, then you can't download any games from the VC again... unless you want them ALL to be in Japanese.by strongfan - Offtopic
The wiimote does not work with any working builds. Zelda Ocarina of Time runs at 10fps with a huge amount of graphical errors in Wii Tiizer edition. r488 runs it at 10 fps with only minor graphical errors. Either way, it's waaayyyy to slow to play. Don't wast your time with Wii64 unless you want to test the latest builds (unofficial) builds.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
I don't know how hooks work, actually. You could look at the source for Gecko OS, if you want.by strongfan - Software
Wii64 is the suckiest thing I've ever seen in my life. You're wasting your time trying to get that version to run. Try getting an unnofficial build from the Wii64 thread. These have made much more progress, but they're still not as good. They can, however, play Mario 64 at a tolerable speed.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
If you update to 3.4, Nintendo can update your console without your consent. This means that they could sneak an update that deletes the actual Homebrew Channel.by strongfan - Homebrew General
QuoteDanielHuehoIt is not impossible, just a bit risky... With the "special method" (installing a Nintendo-signed and unpatched IOS with WAD Manager), you can enable Patcmii and others again, even on 3.4, I guess. Look for it at GBATemp forums, I think they have a sticky topic about this method. Does the bricking occur frequently? Is there a high chance of being bricked?by strongfan - Homebrew General
what we NEED to do is find a way to get the Twilight Hack working again.by strongfan - Homebrew General
Google is your friend! just search "Block IP Router" and I'm sure you'll find what you need. Then all you have to do is figure out the IP for Nintendo's update servers. Also, can't you just tell your sibiling(s) to not update? I know little sisters can be annoying, but they can't be THAT evil!by strongfan - Homebrew General
