yeah, downgrading is NOT recommended and you wouldn't be able to do that unless you had a working exploit anyway. can you not order it online? For now, i'm pretty sure those are the only ways to install hbcby mdbrim - Getting Started
Edit: nm... I'll PM Axel instead of posting about the above crap in public.by mdbrim - Getting Started
where do you live/are you from? No, The whole point of 4.3 was to make it so all the hbc exploits wouldn't work with the Wii... why do you think nintendo released 4.3? So that all those "better" options you like wouldn't work. What's not available anymore?by mdbrim - Getting Started
what about a system update? what are you currently running?by mdbrim - Getting Started
it isn't under warranty anymore!!! sorry... little brick humor... they will most likely be able to tell... but like you said, you didn't pay anything for it so you've got nothing to lose. Not sure of anything else you'll be able to do...by mdbrim - FixMii
yeah it isn't the size of the sd card taht's doing it... something seems messed up with an IOS that doesn't like returning to the menu and maybe is looking for something to load. Maybe fixing IOS? I dunno, i don't have too much experience with changing, reloading IOS. What system menu are you on? cuz you could probably just update to the latest HB channel and then updaby mdbrim - Getting Started
alright, i'm not a mod, but as a regular i'm gonna step in here. Everyone chill out... outlaweddragoon: you've made three posts on this forum... all of them with absolutely ZERO content or contribution value... where as EVERY SINGLE one of bob's posts in this thread contribute something and try to help... so quit calling his posts random. uh... neogamma? what do you plan on doing cuz this may be a long trip off a short pier. is it a coding experience problem (you don't know what the code is doing) or is it not understanding certain parts of the code?by mdbrim - Coding
QuoteOne TV couldn't recieve(sic) the remote's signal um, not really how it works. Sounds like you just have some coincidences popping up because these things are not related to anything you are describing. are there a bunch of other wiis at the geek club... i mean gaming club?by mdbrim - Getting Started
you own the console and the games you purchase from the store... you don't own the software on the wii... the EULA refers to the NETWORK SERVICES USER AGREEMENT as the part you "don't own" (access to internet chan, shop chan, virtual console, etc).by mdbrim - Homebrew General
what package are you looking to change... if it's the one with the mr bean splash screen, it's the one i mentioned, and works fine for me with the szs modifier.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
looks like if you double click on the image it will open it in the texture editor... there you can import a new image and save it.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
is the image you are looking to replace "strapA_16_9_832x456" and "strapA_608x456" ....in the menupatch/English.szs file under Texture(NW4R) yah, all i see is the raw data options... not sure.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
aw crap... that doesn't help my theory! so you place your image at 0,0... approximately how many pixels are cut off?by mdbrim - Coding
QuoteWiiHaxyou never said that what are you 4? and for the record... he did: QuoteSifJarWhy wouldn't it be? I haven't used the program Anyway, i don't see why it wouldn't be supported either... you use the original disc, you are just telling it to load images and tracks and what not from the sd card. much like brawl stuff. BUT, as I have not used it that much, i am aby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
btw... the GRRLIB forum is a good place to pick up some tips and ideas and ask questions like this. Most of the guys that post there also post here (me, crayon, etc) so you can get help either place.by mdbrim - Coding
are you PAL or NTSC? I have this issue as well if i place the image at 0,0 so all my backgrounds are shrunk from 640 x 480 to 95% that size and then placed at about 20,14 (don't remember the exact point). BUt when i send it to my graphics guy (a PAL user) he see's space at the top and left. As it turns out... (0,0) works great for him, but does the same thing you are seeing to mineby mdbrim - Coding
Axel, it's not our job to keep this site a friendly place to share, it's to keep it from becoming like "the other" crap fail websites where sigs run rampant, and the talk is all about piracy... Sure it might come across as harsh to the new folks, but that's why this site isn't overrun with total fail. I think the points have all been made so lets move on. It is the wayby mdbrim - Getting Started
how new is your wii? If all you're looking to do is play DVDs on it, we might save you some time and trouble since if you have a newer wii, it will not be possible to play DVDs anyway.by mdbrim - Getting Started
that's my point.. 4.2 and 4.3 serve no purpose other than to remove HB... so why go thru the trouble of stopping at 4.2 or 4.1... just update to the latest HB first... then do official 4.3 easy. You don't miss out on anything, and it's a lot more simple and fool proof) I know he asked 4.2 and you told him how, but why would we have him stop at 4.2... go all the way baby!by mdbrim - Getting Started
ahhh, good point, i glossed right over that detail... Well, did you try using "elizabeth_hay_jpg_size"?by mdbrim - Coding
why would we not just put in the new HBC, then do an update thru Ninendo? That's what we are preaching on the wiki... I still don't understand why everyone recommends these crazy workaround update procedures... just do new HBC first... then update thru nintendo... BAM easy clean no probs.by mdbrim - Getting Started
Chicken bone... did you resize this image with photoshop? I seem to recall a similar problem from the GRRLIB forum and it turned out that the image had TWO occurances of 0xD9 0xFF. That's why some JPG work for you and others don't... The solution ended up being due to photoshop resize added a 0xD9 0xFF.... and they tried resizing with something else. Wait... here ya go. QuoteSifJarI think you use "we" too presumptuously. Not all users of this site are American. "never gave US" "WE don't have" "WE havn't(sic) gotten" Luigi, stop throwing all those "we"s and "us"s around... a lot of the folks on this forum HAVE gotten them.by mdbrim - Offtopic
you download the app you would like... it usually comes in a zip file that when you unzip has three files in a folder. meta.xml (just info about the program that shows up as text in the Homebrew Chan) icon.png (just a picture that is the icon in the homebrew chan) boot.dol (which is the application itself) the first two files are optional, and are not in ALL apps (but most) and you mayby mdbrim - Getting Started
what kinda channel would you like to see added? Maybe someone will like that idea and homebrew it. Not that i'm looking for another idea (currently working on three homebrew projects) but fresh ideas are always welcome!by mdbrim - Offtopic
