Uh, well, I know the last thing we want is boring political fight, but I need to disagree in some points with you, Arikado: 1. Obama is not acting as a socialist, and this stimulus bill is more than necessary at the moment... Of course, I agree some investments must be done outside the big spending companies, but this same companys have business over the entire world. The whole world's ecby DanielHueho - Offtopic
I love Vista. I hate Vista. I love to hate Windows. And I love pain. So I love Windows. =P Seriously, Windows XP sucked for me, Vista is much better. And I also have a partition with Linux, openSUSE 11.0, but I didn't like the look... Kinda, I want Linux mainly for fun and pretty effects (and I don't have Aero on my Vista, so...). Linux or Windows, for me, are both functional. Whaby DanielHueho - Offtopic
QuoteDarkechoesXAlright, thanks DanielHueho. And in the Source Code, what's the name for the speed and sound of the Wii64. Please explain? What exactly should be "speed" and "sound"? QuoteEman4showOh there are more versions?? awesome! Please post them as soon as man, im willing to test what roms and emulators work! Here we go, revision 473:by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
QuoteArikadoQuotez400100500any updates? no.......................poo See DanielHueho's post just a little above yours for an updated version of Wii64. Actually there is some newer revisions, I will try to upload it the soon as I can (unfortunately, I am at school right now =/) Oh, DarkechoesX, you can view the source code on the Google Code page: You need a SVN client to download theby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
It is pretty hard to brick the Wii with preloader install, anyway: it just renames the System Menu .dol and installs the preloader .dol... But answering your questions: 1. Probably, but I don't really know. preloader have a .dol autoboot feature, so I guess you could just use the feature to point to the Wii Menu .dol. 2. Only with 3.2 System Menu. Other versions can't use this feby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Sometimes I laugh with the innocence of some people [:P] A strategy homebrew game would be interesting, though. Like Civilization (there's even a SDL-based port of the original game, so it wouldn't be that impossible).by DanielHueho - Offtopic
Back from the grave, topic? =Pby DanielHueho - Homebrew General
You need to adjust the environment variables. System Properties, Advanced tab. Make sure the PATH variable point to your DevkitPRO installation...by DanielHueho - Coding
To make Wine work on Wii Linux, you would need a x86-to-PPC instructions translator, in other words, an emulator.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
1. Gamecube games only run on GC mode. So, only using the Disc Channel on Wii Menu or GCBooter... GeckoOS doesn't work, since it boots games on Wii mode. 2. No backup loader mentioning here. 3. Sounds like you messed up with your MIOS. Just a kick, but I don't know if there is any way to fix. EDIT: 4. Downgrading from 3.4 it's not always illegal, depends of the method.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
People, BootMii has nothing to do with channels at the moment... It's a way to take over the Wii boot process, that's all. And what is Alameda?by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Actually, is possible to run older versions of Windows on any platform, with an appropriate emulator. In this case, a x86-architeture emulator. And this thing actually exists, it's open-source, it's coded in portable C, and it's cleverly disguised as a DOS environment emulator... Yeah, DOSBox. I already have heard of people running Windows 95 and 98 with some tweaks under DOSBox, aby DanielHueho - Homebrew General
The Wii's DVD drive is crappy. Next!by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
I remember in my school people said about the Y2K: "Happy end of the world for you" =P For what I get it, the biggest problem at the Y2K was the storing of dates using 2 digits, to save memory. They "just" changed the time variables to 4 numbers.by DanielHueho - Offtopic
By nature, DVD drives are very slow, compared to the performance of other types of media. And the IOS drivers for the Wii DVD reader are not really the best too. Also, both the drive and the System Menu takes some time to do the authentication of the media. FlatMii bypass the hardware authentication, so it's faster.by DanielHueho - Software
Yeah, it did the trick! Thanks emukidid! EDIT (just to avoid double posting =P): Yeah! Faster than bg4545! XD just kidding, but anyway, for who wants, rev. 471...by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Impossible at the circunstances. Sega doesn't have nearly the same budget as before, at the good times. They are pretty broken. EDIT: Quotepinball wizardThe Dreamcast was just released at the wrong time with the wrong hardware. Hmmm, that sounds familiar: =Pby DanielHueho - Offtopic
I don't know if here is exactly the right place to post this... Anyway, I'm having trouble to submit any edit to the Wiki. When I click "save changes", the screen goes blank, and the address bar shows like this: http:/ /wiibrew.org/w/index.php?title= Talk:Anything&action=submit I don't edit the wiki often, but most times when I try, it doesn't work. It's good to see a Atari emulator on the Wii. Now we can play E.T! XDby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
You know, even Quake 3 can be runable, with some serious effort... Mainly because Quake 1, 2 and 3 engines are open-source. The Quake for Wii is actually a port of the original Quake. AFAIK, no sorce code of any version of Unreal Engine has been released, so, there's no way to do a port of the original Unrealby DanielHueho - Homebrew General

There's some rumors about a "HD Wii", a prototype from Nintendo that includes high-end processor with the Wii controls. All the companys are, by now, already planning on their next consoles (maybe Sony is a exception; they're still waiting for the "PS3 year" =P )by DanielHueho - Offtopic
No, Google Earth is not open-source. And actually the use of any kind of map from Google, in a non-authorized program, is kinda of illegal (Google Earth /Maps TOS)... There is Gaia-clean ,that's open source and load pictures from NASA (legal). But is kinda of non-updated... There also World Wind, from NASA itself, but it has .NET and Java versions...by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Just to ask... What exactly would be the utility of something like that?by DanielHueho - Homebrew General

QuoteBitLooterI once had a Windows program that put an icon of a brick in the system tray. Whenever you felt it necessary, all you had to do was click the icon to pick up a brick, and then click on the screen to throw a brick at it. It would leave a big gaping hole in the screen, and cracks in the glass all around it. [=P]by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
