I think MMC means MultiMedia Card. SD and MMC cards are similar, but not identical. Officially, Wii does not support this kind of card, so you can't use on HBC. But of course, you can just stick the MMC in the console and see if works.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Let's sing the song! Do what you want, ‘cause a pirate is free, YOU ARE A PIRATE! Yar har, fiddle di dee, Being a pirate is alright to be, Do what you want ‘cause a pirate is free, You are a pirate! And goes something like that... NO PIRACY HERE. NO BACKUP TALK.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
Does the games work (not just Tatsunoko) if you launch through Gecko OS?by DanielHueho - FixMii
Good Game Peace Out It's a netplay library, pretty much like Kaillera, but intended for fighting games, arcade-style. The GGPO beta uses a special edition of FinalBurn Alpha, adapted for use with the library. And just to fill this post a little more =P QuotewhodaresThey can't really add something like that within Kaillera, because Kaillera doesn't have any control of thby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications

Gecko OS rebooter works completely fine in the 3.3v1 system menu. Not sure about the v2 (23Oct update)...by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Probably update is not a good idea. Use Gecko OS to boot the game without updating.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
/\ /\ /\ I don't get it... But anyways, about 3.2 and Starfall "advantages", you can simply use Gecko OS to bypass updates and run foreign regions updates. I really think, if some day appears a legal method to create and install custom channels, Gecko OS should be a must-have on any Wii. 3.2 and Starfall should only be useful if: 1. The Kaillera client itself is closed-source, and Windows-based. Unless someone takes a huge challenge and writes a full replacement, compatible with Kaillera, just for Wii, it's impossible. The best shot would be porting Open Kaillera, but will be still very hard.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Hmmmm, did you used Savegame Installer from "that person"?by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Gecko OS already bypass this problem. You need to understand, however, some games actually needs this updates, like Animal Crossing, for example.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
That's kinda stupid. You can help right here on the forum, don't need to give out your e-mail, even because this sounds suspicious. Anyway, no backup stuff here.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
Well, is anybody waiting for BootMii yet? Well, I am, and I know the release date is "when it's done". I try to don't complain about it, and nobody have this right, actually. But looks there some projects out here. And apparently they do the same thing: take control of boot process in some way: <<< Post from Nuke at his blog <<< app from crediar, that loads HBC iby DanielHueho - Homebrew General

COME BACK TO LIFE, TOPIC!!! Hehehehe, I know lifting this topic for nothing is stupid, but it's not really nothing. The SVN repository was updated to revision 449, and like the previous one, it's just have some addictions for the PS3 debug code. We can expect a port of Wii64 for PS3 really soon =*D. (Seriously, we can expect some good improvement from now, since with the PS3 recoby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Google is your friend! But Wiibrew is as well! You need to put your ROMs in the "snes9x/roms/" folder (for Snes9x GX) and "fceugx/roms/" (for FCE Ultra GX)... Remenber also to have a folder called "saves" in both "snes9x" and "fceugx" folders.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
Update to latest version is update to latest version. No kind of progressive update. You can use a game disc with the 3.2 update. I think Mario Kart and SSBB have this update This is the best, easy and safe way to update without homebrew.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Now is dangerous to develop some Wii apps... You never know when your media will auto-format when you leave it alone. :P EDIT: text editing is in the todo list for Txt-read... Unfortunately, the last update in the project is from October...by DanielHueho - Offtopic
Most emulators does intensive use of CPU, but not from GPU (video card). I mean, is good to have a video card, but when dealing with older systems emulation, the CPU speed does a much bigger diference. The exception, for now, is PS2 emulation. You need a great video card and a ultradupermega, NASA style, kickass CPU :Pby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Sorry, not today. DVDX installer doesn't work on the 3.4 update, and there's no workaround avaiable, unless you downgrade your Wii.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Sorry about giving after-life to this topic, but... A GC emulator for Wii may sound redundant, but what about some kind of customized MIOS? I mean, patching the MIOS with these features, or something like that... Yeah, a pretty dumb thought, but there's already a patched version for use with the GC Homebrew Launcher, so, is this close to possible?by DanielHueho - Software
I think netplay is far more plausible than emulating four GBAs at the same time, doesn't matter if we talking about PCs or Wiis. And actually, should be easier than usual netplay, when you have the sync all the emulators and the inputs. After all, is probably "only" needed to emulate the system link interface, and the network code of the games does the rest. (Sorry about lame english :P Iby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications

It is not impossible, just a bit risky... With the "special method" (installing a Nintendo-signed and unpatched IOS with WAD Manager), you can enable Patcmii and others again, even on 3.4, I guess. Look for it at GBATemp forums, I think they have a sticky topic about this method.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General

@TheManuel Weirdo :P @Someone I need to ask... There's two utilities for updating the Wii without downloading the "bad parts" of the update... The Softchip mod of patchmii and Mii Channel Updater. Which is better?by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
QuoteTheManuelQuoteExotahuHBC stayed, DVDX stayed, all the apps seem to work. I thought DVDX had been broken with the Oct 23rd updates... No, just the DVDX installation was broke. The only homebrew content that will be removed is the Twilight Hack, and the patchmii IOS254 (known as "Patchmii_core" to some), which is the patched IOS necessary for modchip users. Weird... Why they don't remove the IOS249 or 247 instead? (We all known why this update happened...)by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Well, the System Menu 3.4 article on the wiki shows HBC as not affected by the update. I guess this have something to do with the channel itself, after all, HBC is the only app (as far I know), that doesn't uses the banner leaked code... Not that makes so much difference, I just guessing.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
