You can make it not use copyrighted code I think, defaultly you down load a patch from nintendo or something from Nintendos servers, which is I asume the copyrighted part, couldnt you copy the update section from the, say brawl disk and then it would be ok? other then that its a bunch of AutoIT scripts that run in sequence.by ninjafish1990 - Offtopic
Quotejonasbrosok, i have downloaded paint for wii from wiibrew, and it has one elf file and one dol file, do i need to copy one of these? or all of the other folders? The .elf is the old file format version, the dol is the new format, I tried wii paint and it did not work for me, so i would try another app just in case.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
It really is unnecessary, I considered doing it (when it was supposedly legal, but I couldn't think what to put there, and since i normally "preload" straight to HBC, since I'm already at HBC and can pick what I need from there.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started

Again, my friend sent his in with homebrew channel still installed and it came back still on there. I have heard of people with chipped wiis coming back and they took the chip out and sent it back with the wii... Whats's the worst thing they can do? update you to 4.0 and take it off? big deal put it back on... With my experience they do not change the state of the system, if they do takeby ninjafish1990 - Offtopic

Apparently Brawl screwed up alot of drives due to it being on a DLDVD (or so they claim). (Disk Drive Crash) (First site I found with a repair form and data about the "crashing" drives.) My friend had this issue and sent his in (with HBC still intact)(and it returned not updated and still with HBC)by ninjafish1990 - Offtopic
Technically could you not make a channel and not put any pictures (banners) on it?by ninjafish1990 - Offtopic
My friend sent his in, with 3.3 on it, but he removed HBC due to paranoia, and they didnt say anything, or update it, and it was free (it was for the brawl fix).by ninjafish1990 - Offtopic

QuoteWaxyPumpkin72USB loader isn't supported here. Read the Rules!! Not necessarily, this is not to run backups or any illegal (Nintendo) material, so this may be a grey area. However the USB loader does not load movies, (that i know of) only games, so your request to load movies cannot be fulfilled (with USB loader), you might try mplayer or DMP.by ninjafish1990 - Homebrew General
Yes, you can. I think your .ini file should look like this. ________________ VIDEO=NTSC AUTOBOOT=HBC ________________ Thats for beta 1 It was late and i didn't want to pull my sd card out so i figured they might be the same, my bad.by ninjafish1990 - BootMii Beta
I installed as boot2 as well, but i was wondering the purpose to install it as IOS, if you cant boot to it it wont save your wii, i guess you could back it up..... or are there other benefits?by ninjafish1990 - BootMii Beta
Obviously boot2 is the preferred method, but what benefits do having it as an IOS have? Also can you install both? Has anyone tried that?by ninjafish1990 - BootMii Beta
