yeah, I give up. tried to get hep on #wiidev, but still, no good. I give up.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
how is the analog stick easier than wiimote for mouse control?!? wiimote is just as accurate as a mouse, far closer than an analog stick. come on, do you really think analog stick would be better? because then you'd be WRONG!!! (oj, you're entitled to your opinion, even if it is wrong, lol) but anyway, this has been suggested loads of times and i think one is in production, but it woby SifJar - Ideas, requests
Yeah, just found that myself, then read your post lol. I'm downloading it now. If this works I'll be back in about half an hour. EDIT: Well that got me a bit further, but I'm not there yet. I need more libraries, which I'm downloading now. EDIT: OK I think there's a problem with one of the files in the SDL library. I'll try a different version, see if that helpby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
Yes, you install it from HBC. And it should be compatible with BootMii. But it is now outdated by preloader, and is only compatible with 3.2. preloader works on any firmware afaik, just without hacks on some. It has far more hacks than starfall though, and i believe they can be enabled and disabled at will, unlike starfall.by SifJar - Getting Started
On 4.0 gecko cheats still work afaik. Basically the things that wont work are the things which say "Require an IOS that accepts fake signatures" on their WiiBrew page. But as said above, if you have 3.3v2, they won't work now anyway, so there's no reason NOT to upgrade. If you're on 3.3v1 though, you may as well stay for now.by SifJar - Getting Started
I have an idea. Someone try downloading the WiiBrew sample image, and open it in a hex editor and change one or two values in the middle. then see if it opens. if that works, try adding a value or two, see if you can make it crash. then MAYBE there could be a buffer overflow there. But more likely probably not.by SifJar - Offtopic
i got that same error btw. EDIT: This is in the makefile INCLUDES := $(DEVKITPRO)/SDL-Port/include But there is no 'SDL-Port' folder in my devkitpro directory. Could this be the problem? If so, where could I get that folder?by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
It's just a case of having the latest libogc, downloading the source firing up a terminal/command prompt and typing "make" after navigating to the right folder. I should be able to do it tomorrow. maybe someone else will have done it by then, but if not, i'll recompile and upload it for you. EDIT: OK, I got the source and the latest libogc, but it won't compile. gives a load ofby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
Basically anything that says "requires an IOS that accepts fake signatures" on WiiBrew won't work. But as said above, if you have the Oct 23rd update, they won't work anyway, so you may as well upgrade for the extra features of 4.0. However, if you don't I'd say don't upgrade, stay where you are to make use of trucha bug apps.by SifJar - Getting Started
Twilight Hack should work fine on 3.2U. But use the bannerbomb file which it says on the bannerbomb site to try first. if that doesn't work, just try the others in turn. but it should work. You need to run WiiSCU and install IOS 60. You may want to add the trucha bug into it. BTW, if you're interested, this app can also let you go on Wii Shop Channel. Just install IOS 61 and updateby SifJar - Getting Started
Yes you're correct. SDHC support was available AGES ago in homebrew afaik, and was added in the latest few versions of HBC. Only the system menu supports it on 4.0, i.e. you can move channels and saves to and from SDHC, but games with SD support DON'T have SDHC support, only new games will be able to have that.by SifJar - Getting Started
you cant use brawl yet, the exploit for it is unreleased. bannerbomb doesn't need any game though use it. there is a quide on wiibrew.org. Use it to install the Homebrew Channel. Then download Gecko OS (also on wiibrew.org) and put it on SD card in a folder called apps, and run it from HBC.by SifJar - Getting Started
they said /apps because that's how it'd appear in the path (something like e:/apps/homebrew browser/boot.dol or whatever). The folder itself should be called 'apps' and each homebrew should have it's own folder within that and in each homebrew's folder there must be a boot.dol, and optionally a meta.xml and an icon.png.by SifJar - Getting Started
Hmm, are you sure? it wouldn't use a standard compression algorithm? because surely if it uses a completely custom one they wouldn't be viewable on pc? or am i just an idiot? lolby SifJar - Offtopic
Waninkoko wrote both IOS and cIOS downgrader, afaikby SifJar - Getting Started
yeah, just run the HackMii installer, but if you haven't bought the Wii yet, see above. But depending on country that's different. I think thats the USA serial. But if it isn't bought yet it WILL have invulnerable boot1, therefore BootMii can't be installed as boot2by SifJar - Getting Started
That's got nothing to do with what I or anyone else asked. I just want to know, is there a way to save an image on a computer at the same compression as on DSi?by SifJar - Offtopic
Just to clarify, run WiiSCU with twilight hack.by SifJar - Getting Started
Huh, how can it need one but not need one present? That doesn't make sense to me. I assume the exploit used is unreleased btw?by SifJar - Getting Started
HBC is a WAD? well, i guess that makes sense... Never really thought about that much.by SifJar - Getting Started
same way as DVDs I assume? but not all 360 games are region locked. only someby SifJar - Offtopic
Yes, but is there anyway I can save an image on computer in same compression as DSi? If so, it'll be much easier to find DSi specific header and footer.by SifJar - Offtopic
yes, but if you can't be safe, then well, you can't be safe. Did you even read my post? I'm not advising people to through caution out the window and install any random crap without BootMii, but if you can't install BootMii as boot2, preloader is relatively safe, and people used to install it fine before BootMii came out. read my post before disagreeing this time please.by SifJar - Getting Started
How can I get it saved in the same level of compression as the DSi using a PC program? I figured it was this by the way, or a different type of jpg (JFIF or something, I flicked through a wikipedia page, and I think the DSi is JFIF, dunno what paint uses)by SifJar - Offtopic
Does any region changer work off IOS 35? oh and its CMDVDX35, not 34. You know, cause it downgrades IOS 35? lol, i assume that was a typo.by SifJar - Getting Started
Yeah, if you can I'd still install BootMii as an IOS and then install preloader as that way you could still access HBC and then exit to BootMii and restore a NAND dump, but it won't be AS good, and wont fix ALL bricks. Also, it's slightly riskier installing preloader without BootMii as boot2, because you have nothing to fall back on, but it should be fine, people did it before Bootby SifJar - Getting Started
but buying a new wii will mean it probably wont have vulnerable boot1, so you can't install bootmii as boot2, so you wont have proper brick protection.by SifJar - Getting Started
