Yeah, a rather short post :D Quotescanffdaniel_c_w, Call me daniel :D QuotescanffI'm sure we need to disagree as we seem to be on both sides of the fence Do we? My major problem is that Ninja and you blame Nintendo for the bad and crappy games, and blame it on the Wii itself. All platforms have disadvanteges and bad games. And yes, the primary (!!!) reason to buy any platform aby daniel_c_w - Offtopic
Quoteninjafish1990 Quotein every game that you have to "shake the wiimote" or flick it QuoteThat's not in every game (see Brawl). Only the bad developers choose that way. If you use the wii remote you do, only if you use the gamecube controller it makes it decent to play To me the Gamecube Controller is only the second best option for Brawl. I prefer Wiimote only, because the D-Pad contrby daniel_c_w - Offtopic
I disagree a lot. Most of the points you mention are not the Wiis fault. Quotein every game that you have to "shake the wiimote" or flick it That's not in every game (see Brawl). Only the bad developers choose that way. QuoteThe games, well there exist about 3 and the best one is brawl, and the only way to make it good is with gecko. You realy think, that there are only 3 good gamesby daniel_c_w - Offtopic
QuoteMiniMiiThere is no 'auto update'. All updates must be user accepted. Thus when you hit ok to update, you accept the EULA. The user(you) MUST accept the EULA yourself, thus making you liable if you do anything to the Wii. Was that just information or an argument? (for what?) When you download an updtae, you have already accepted the EULA, because you did set up WiiConnect24 /by daniel_c_w - Software
QuoteXFelixXIf someone were to make it possible to check your wii mail on the home menu, (during a game when the home button is pressed) that would be a miracle. im surprised they havent ever acknowledged my requests for all this time. That could indeed work, but: The Home Menu is part of the game, not of the IOS. A game needs to be patched to do so. And ninjafish1990, you are overexertiby daniel_c_w - Offtopic
According to WiiBrew: 0x80001800 (size:0x1800) is an unused Exception Vector area often used for loader stubs and reloaders as this area is never cleared or used. In other words: it is a save place for code that is called by ocarina's hooks.by daniel_c_w - Homebrew General
Quotejassimworst part is being a soar loser and them trying to kill dvdx in their updates. Nintendo never tried to kill DVDX directly.by daniel_c_w - Offtopic
I'd say it is somewhere between impossible (not enough resources) or to hard to pull off (as it would require a very good patching algorithm for each game, or a major IOS patch)by daniel_c_w - Offtopic
Looks like your SD-Card is corrupted. on the other side, you may find help here: :Dby daniel_c_w - Getting Started
Well you could either have erased it in Zelda or in the Systemmenu. Maybe Zelda does not handle it well, because of the extra savegame payload, so be sure to erase the whole Zelda savegame file in the System menu.by daniel_c_w - Getting Started

QuoteprofetylenIs the reason for the performance loss because of that it requires a lot of power from the DS to stream? It is because it requires any power to stream. Games are free to utilize the whole power of the DS. There are no additional resources left. Unlike Windows for example, the software architecture on the DS, or the Wii and most consoles is rather monolithic. Games are used tby daniel_c_w - Ideas, requests
I'm sure it is not to be used for legal purposes, for anything that relies on a proper weight (post-office, shops). But for home uses it is fine. Quotelike a mail scale for estimating shipping on items This shouldn't be a problem at all, because the shipper will weight it again.by daniel_c_w - Homebrew General
QuoteprofetylenHm... I don't know how powerful the wireless connection between the wii and the DS is, but if it is powerful enough video and sound could be streamed from the DS directly to the wii. If this is possible no emulator would be required. The bandwidth between the Wii and the DS is the least of all problems. You have to make the DS stream it's audio and video, while stillby daniel_c_w - Ideas, requests
QuoteUltimatePismanIt must be possible. It was on SNES, N64 and GCN. Why will the Wii don't? Because neither Nintendo, nor anybody else releases the right hardware. The Super Gameboy and the GameboyPlayer are no emulators. They are the full hardware, minus display and input. Software emulation of the DS on the Wii is doable, but in early development. And I have no idea, if it can reaby daniel_c_w - Ideas, requests
Since you have to start fresh with your Brawl, I recommend you start with savegame that has no copy protection. QuoteThough do you know why it did this? Not exactly, but the theorie is simple. Ocarina and co. mess with the memory of the game. And when Brawl writes its settings to the NAND, it will of course use the values it finds in memory. Of course, it does not check ths values, becuase uby daniel_c_w - Getting Started

1) your old zelda savegames, if you have any, can not coexist with the twilight hack. save them somewhere on your computer, then put the Twilight Hack on the sd-card.by daniel_c_w - Getting Started

Nobody can freely implement a Flash Version higher than the one used in the Internet Channel, because Adobe/Macromeida do not deliver the SDKs and the licence. QuoteUltimatePismanIsn't it easier to let it scream to the Wii and than record it on a DVD+RW? The DS won't be able to stream normal DS-gameplay anywhere.by daniel_c_w - Ideas, requests
I know the 360 solution (from my own experience), and it increases the performance in most cases. I guess, anything we can use on the Wii is slower than the DVD-drive, though.by daniel_c_w - Offtopic
I am sorry for that. According to the title database you're right and I was wrong (Mariokart is 3.1E) And the Japanese and US Brawl are 3.1 as well. Euro Brawl is not listed, but it came out much later - good luck :D The title database does not list any 3.2 titleby daniel_c_w - Homebrew General
