Edit: I realized I had typed Homebrew Channel on the subject instead of Homebrew Browser... For those who have not downloaded it yet, just launch the Homebrew Browser and it will auto-update. The new update looks amazing and has music and sound effects (I've been looking forward to this for both the HBB and HBC). It is loaded with new features such as a rating system for the applicatioby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications

Indeed! Or if you just want to use one save file as before, then rename the one you have or load it the first time and don't ever worry about it again. But if you want to mess around with it, then take not lose your Super Mario Kart file in which you spent so much time beating the cheap AI in Star Cup 150cc : ))by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
I was playing around with it and found this. If you have renamed your old save file to "Auto" and you load a different save file, the new save file will overwrite the previous "Auto" file. I made sure to back up everything prior to screwing around wit it but this has the potential to wipe your save files if you don't use it with care. Know than when you load up a new file you will loseby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications

Thank you for all the great new progress in your already outstanding emulators. I have a question about VBAGX, is code optimization still a project goal? I know you have a note about this on the WiiBrew wiki page but don't know if anybody has actually worked on it. Some games would benefit greatly from it like Metroid: Zero Mission and Mario Kart GP. Can't you borrow TP from someone? That's how I installed the HBC in the first place since I haven't bought the game yet. You could even rent it. If you have System Menu 4.0 you're out of luck for the moment, though.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
VBAGX gets updated along with its sibling, SNES9XGX. Updates from the Wiki: 1.0.8 - April 6, 2009 "Match Wii Game" controls option! Games that have a Wii equivalent can be played using the controls for that Wii game. For example all Zelda games can be played with Twilight Princess controls. Rotation/Tilt sensor games all work Solar sensors (Boktai 1/2/3) Rumble (except for games thatby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
I installed it last night. To my surprise, even the old version was self-updating so I went that route. The new interface is outstanding and has much welcomed sound effects and background audio. My only gripe is that you can no longer enter the settings menu and return to the game you were playing so you cannot play with the new filters and immediately see the results in the same game unlessby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications

Is there any way I can have an mp3 file load and loop when the Homebrew Channel is loaded or would it have to be programmed to do this? I'm guessing the latter but it doesn't hurt to ask. That's something I think the HBC really needs.by TheManuel - Getting Started
Quoteninjafish1990I have been waiting for the release since March 27. It must have been excruciating but never fear. The wait is over. The emulator update just got released. I'll check it out tonight. Can't wait for the rest of the family to get updated. The XXXXGX Team had been quitely toiling on this one to surprise us with this massive update. I don't know if this is old news to most people here but, just in case, check out a preview of the next release here: SNES9x GX YouTube Video I stumbled upon it by chance. I would have guessed I would find about it here first. It shows a slick new, IR driven interface along with many new features. This emulator is already a piece of work and it's about to get even better. Kuby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
I gave in yesterday and upgraded so that I could purchase Bomberman Blast to add an out-of-town friend to our local Wii Niights. If you already have the HBC and DVDx installed, there shouldn't be much of a problem as long as you don't uninstall them as right now there is no way back.by TheManuel - Homebrew General
I have been reading about BootMii wherever I can find the information but still have some unanswered questions: 1. Will the installation of BootMii be reversible (or is the ELF preloader code overwritten for good)? 2. Will BootMii be installable from the Homebrew Channel or does it require to run directly from the TP Hack or similar exploit? 3. Will support for the Homebrew Channel in itby TheManuel - Homebrew General
Rrrrright... I turned the very innocent, harmless topic of DS emulation into a piracy discussion. Sorry, I don't want to keep veering the post off topic. I did post again because you asked. I'm signing off... Regards.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
By the way, I'm not trying to indulge in moral grand standing here. I'm just curious where the distinction lies in this board between what is appropriate to discuss and what is not.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
QuoteEmulators: usefull for homebrew and illegal stuff. You will for example see a very long thread about a Nintendo 64 emulator here. Ah, but you're crossing that soft line between current and old systems. If Wii emulation was viable I don't think we would be talking about it here. Also, the argument (which I see coming) for only playing the DS games you own on the Wii is as valby TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
You guys need to check yourselves. You immediately jump on people posting anything remotely suggesting piracy of Wii games and rightfully so and yet you are brimming with enthusiasm about a DS emulator. This also amounts to piracy of a system that is alive and selling well. Be consistent.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Also, I don't think existing apps that don't currently support SDHC would gain automatic support for it just from the update. You might lose functionality on some apps.by TheManuel - Homebrew General
Would the Wii have enough power to run Quake Live? www.quakelive.com The Wikipedia entry metions there is a Linux version in development so the amount of code interpretation would be minimal. Having this on the Wii with online enabled would be a great addition...by TheManuel - Ideas, requests
I'm not sure that this is a bug. I looked through the app's googlecode site and nobody seems to be complaining about it so I asked here in case I was doing something wrong.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Well, now Wii2600 is available and it is a much better port of Stella. It loads immediately, is very user friendly and the controller mappings make more sense. The 2600 is now well served indeed.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
MPlayer CE is shaping out to be the killer app the Wii needs for a Media Center. My only complain is that it does not seem to save my settings. For instance I set the screen to 16:9 and Loop function to 1 and as soon as I back out a few steps in the menu the settings revert back to the previous state. Can anyone help on this? Thanks.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Correct. Look for "MPlayer dvdlib edition" under "Media" if you are using the Homebrew Browser.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Hidden. You don't access it directly. The application provides the inner workings for other applications to access the DVD drive and the files on DVD -R/+R discs as well as factory pressed discs. Also, mplayer allows you to view DVD video content using DVDx (although that functionality is rather limited).by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Thanks. I'll look into it. I did notice they just release a newer version with some correction related to playlists.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
Great! Thank you. That will help me get off my butt less when playing video games :-))by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
How can I play a whole folder full of mp3's with MPlayer CE, or is it one by one only? Can there be folders within the folders? I see a browsing option for "current playlist" but it only shows the current song. Thanks.by TheManuel - Homebrew Applications
