I have to agree with d3m0n1q_733rz on the subject of moderators attitude on this site. As a long time reader of this site (I rarely post as I'm not a Wii developer) I don't dispute the mod/admins assertions that they're helpful. Many of you are clearly very knowledgeable on the Wii... But you (one of you in particular) seems to revel in being condescending and outright rude at timeby Neversoft - Feedback & Support
IIRC Super Smash Brothers Brawl was the first Wii dual layer game and is notorious for causing lenses to fail in Wii's, even some Wii's that had no difficultly loading other games struggle with Brawl.by Neversoft - Homebrew Applications
I can't vouch for how current they are because I haven't used them in a while but the guides/glossary at www.afterdawn.com (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/) and www.videohelp.com are both pretty good and should cover most of the stuff you're trying to do. ::EDIT:: and www.doom9.org :)by Neversoft - Offtopic
If this was on Wiiware I'd buy it in a second :)by Neversoft - Ideas, requests
Couldn't you save yourself a lot of time and effort by simply locking your router down to accept only specific MAC addresses... I doubt anybody is trying to hack your Wifi anyway and if they were, would they really go to the lengths of trying to spoof MAC addresses? Take the tin-foil hat off, constantly changing your Wifi key in this way isn't healthy :)by Neversoft - Ideas, requests
WiibrewWii (http://webrewwii.blogspot.com/) is a good site for Wii homebrew although they DO report on some of the dodgy software (such as the DIP plugin source being available for example) but the vast majority is legit.by Neversoft - Offtopic
Wii homebrew varies on how it's packaged so just check the contents of the zip/rar. Basically, the path should ALWAYS be /apps/*appname*/boot.dol (there's normally an xml and png file as well) Sometimes you have to create the folders yourself, sometimes you even need to rename the executable from *whatever*.dol to boot.dol So hopefully now you can install any app, not just AnyTitlby Neversoft - Getting Started
^But if I threw you out of my house I'd be unlikely to put up a signpost in my garden with a bunch of your personal info on ;-) I agree with your house analogy, but members should have a reasonable expectation of privacy as well.by Neversoft - Feedback & Support
Do you still have Bannerbomb on the card? That would crash it... Not sure how you can resolve it though, you could rename the private folder on the SD but then your HBC channel will be gone too, although presumably a reinstall of the HBC would fix that.by Neversoft - FixMii
Is anybody aware of any homebrew or any other method for quickly deleting Mii's from a Wii? I realise I can drag them individually into the bin using the Mii channel but it's horrendously time consuming (not to mention boring). Basically, my ex's kid made enough Mii's a build a small army and the Mii plaza looks like a scene from Spartacus. Ideally what I'm looking forby Neversoft - Ideas, requests
If this ever gets made we need to bribe/beg/pay the author to do Jet Set Willy as well :)by Neversoft - Homebrew General
I haven't tried it but on the TehSkeen forums michniewski suggests that it should emulate the SNES multi-tap if the controllers are sequential... In other words, use your Wii controllers first but if you want a GC pad for player 3, plug the pad into port 3 on the Wii.by Neversoft - Homebrew Applications
