I actually asked this same question on #wiihelp last night. Installing IOS56 will solve all of your problems.by Weasel - Homebrew Applications
That's a neat idea, but for professional game developers, not homebrew developers (most of us have other commitments such as school/work/life). A rom hacker (one who modifies a rom of a game) might be more interested.by Weasel - Ideas, requests
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong or crazylong hehehe.... Thanks for the replies. I figured it had something to do with the variable type, but I couldn't remember what a long was. I've been learning Python lately (and subsequently forgetting C++), and Python doesn't require you to declare what type of variable you're using. Anyway, thanks again. Time to geby Weasel - Coding
I'm just goofing with the source code of BootOpera because I was bored today, and I came across two things I didn't quite get. 1.) the LaunchTitle function has a return WII_LaunchTitle ( TitleID ) at the end. Obviously the TitleID variable is just an argument passed into the function that says which title ID to launch. My question is this: the WII_LaunchTitle ( ) function, in what lby Weasel - Coding

I must be the unlucky one. I got a code dump when trying to load my old Doom 1 wad. I'll try loading it again tomorrow to see if I can get it to happen again. I'll post more information when I get it.by Weasel - Homebrew Applications
Like jbc007 already said, DVDx doesn't go on 4.3, so don't worry about it. If you used the latest HackMii installer, you already have BootMii/IOS. -edit- I didn't read your post carefully. Run the HackMii installer, select the BootMii option, and it will tell you how to install BootMii/boot2. And WiiMC is a homebrew app. It's a "Media Center", capable of playing back vby Weasel - Getting Started
Quotejbc007If you don't have an exploitable game, well... suck it. Heh, that was brash to say the least. You can always try renting one of the exploitable games (Smash Bros. Brawl or Lego Indiana Jones) from a local game rental store, if one exists in your area. A game rental is a small price to pay for what you get out of it.by Weasel - Getting Started
You're using an SD USB reader? Why not just plug the SD card into the SD slot?by Weasel - Getting Started
Can you describe exactly what's on the sd card? It should work exactly the same as any homebrew app. The only difference is that an app has a 'boot.dol', but the theme is 'theme.zip'by Weasel - Homebrew Applications
How can you be having this problem with apps if you already have the Homebrew Browser? That doesn't really make much sense.... In the root of your SD card, make a folder called 'apps' (not 'app'). Now, download an app from wiibrew.org. For example, WiiEarth. The download is called WiiEarth.zip. The zip contains a folder called WiiEarth. Place it in the 'apby Weasel - Getting Started
If you followed instructions correctly, the theme should change. It's really simple actually: 1. Download the theme and put it in the apps folder in your SD card. The folder should contain a theme.zip file and (hopefully) a meta.xml and icon.png. 2. Start up the Homebrew Channel. The icon for the theme should be listed. Click on it and start it up just like a regular app. 3. Enjoy.by Weasel - Homebrew Applications
Quotebg4545QuoteMestizoJust a bit of warning; if you can install BootMii as boot2, do so and DO NOT update to 4.3. Nintendo can override and patch boot2 to disable BootMii as boot2 No they can't. In order to clarify, all Nintendo's update does is overwrite BootMii/boot2, and can be easily reinstalled via the HackMii installer, correct?by Weasel - Getting Started
Did you install anything yet or did you just hit "Exit" once the hackmii installer started?by Weasel - Getting Started
HBC Themes Found a link to that from the HackMii blog, which is totally cool. However, I have a question about what was said on HackMii. QuotedrmrAs usual, with Wiibrew, please don’t upload copyrighted content. For themes, this means: No copyrighted imagery, neither of photographic nor illustrative nature. My question is: what is our definition copyrighted content? I notice that the HBC tby Weasel - Homebrew Applications
I'm not sure the gamecube mode can access an SD card. Anyway, you can use GCMM to copy saves between a gamecube card and an SD.by Weasel - Ideas, requests

I never really used any other feature in WiiXplorer, so I'm not sure. I think the rest of it works fine.by Weasel - Homebrew Applications
I've been using FTPii and WiiXplorer's FTP functions for a while now, transferring apps between my laptop and the Wii, but suddenly they aren't working anymore. I'm not entirely sure what I've done to make it stop either. I'm on system menu 4.2, HBC 1.0.7 and BootMii's latest, if any of this information is important. I have not updated anything except WiiXby Weasel - Homebrew Applications
Why are you using the Hackmii Installer 0.6? Try it with 0.7. Maybe that might work.by Weasel - BootMii Beta
Quoteledzepfan1I haven't downloaded the new homebrew or bootmii or whatever because I'm not exactly sure what to do. Please help me. If you're Wii is connected to Wi-Fi, just start the homebrew channel. It should ask you if you want to update. Tell it yes.by Weasel - Getting Started
Quotebigmac909Any confirmation on Eniggy's claims? My main use of the homebrew is the VBA GX, so... You might as well just test it out yourself. Some users experience different results sometimes. For my part, VBA GX works just fine.by Weasel - Homebrew General
QuoteTiMeBoMbSo... A few questions... 03. Where do you enter the Konami Code, for NAND restores? 04. Has anyone run into any issues with the new HBC? 05. Has anyone figured out what the "little surprise, to be announced soon" is? 3. I think you enter it to restore the NAND using bootmii/ios, but I could be mistaken. I think I read that somewhere, but I am not entirely sure. 4by Weasel - Homebrew General
@ SifJar - That will work to skip BootMii and go directly to the system menu, yes, but the problem remains unresolved. For example, if I wanted to autoboot to the HBC, I would be unable to do so, unless I had Priiloader installed (which I don't)by Weasel - BootMii Beta
I suppose renaming the bootmii folder will have to work for now, although I'd rather not do it. There's nothing wrong with doing so, but it kinda makes the bootmii config editor app a bit useless now.by Weasel - BootMii Beta
With the old BootMii/boot2 (whatever version that came with the HackMii installer 0.6), I could set my autoboot to the system menu with a zero second delay, so it seemed to skip BootMii's screen altogether. I do this because my wife hates to get up and hit the reset button on BootMii's first screen. The latest version of BootMii (came out yesterday) doesn't let me use the autoboby Weasel - BootMii Beta
