Also, DONT install the latest IOS60 (If you are on 4.0/4.1) or IOS70 (If you are on 4.2) as they are STUBs and WILL brick your Wii. Dont reinstall IOS254, as it's BootMii IOS (unless you dont want it)by NintendoFreak - FixMii
Quotekisslayaso umm any further steps i should follow to restore my wii back to 4.3 safely? -Get DopMii Wiibrew edition -load it from HBC -Select "use IOS58 + AHPORT" (something like that) -Reinstall the IOSs that have the * symbol (Look at the post you made with the list of IOS) After that, run the HackMii installer and post the installer here so we can see if your IOS are clean.by NintendoFreak - FixMii
QuotewinmasterGood. You now have the latest Homebrew Channel and BootMii IOS (the latest HackMii Installer automatically installs BootMii as an IOS upon startup because it depends on it to run.) If the installer said "BootMii Can be Installed), then click on that to go to the BootMii menu to install BootMii as boot2. You will then have two copies of BootMii on your Wii, this is normal and desireby NintendoFreak - FixMii

Quotebg4545You have System Menu 4.3U? That is what's showing up as IOS2. It says version 201 which when converted to decimal is 513 which is 4.3U. Yes, I have 4.3U I didn't know that's what it meant! Thanks! :)by NintendoFreak - Homebrew General
I just finished making a Nand backup through BootMii and read the installer.txt file. It shows that I have an IOS 2 installed, I havent heard of such thing before. I had IOS 3 installed but I deleted that crap as it doesnt do anything and its not on the update servers. So anyway, can someone please tell me what this "IOS 2" is? QuoteSifJarCan you boot System Menu from Priiloader? Perhaps the reason Priiloader fails to load HBC is you have the latest HBC, which Priiloader can't load yet. There was a beta of an update which could load it, but it has been removed, because a potentially fatal bug in HBC caused the installer to fail for some people. Quotebg4545QuotewinmasterAm I correct in thinking that this means that no matter what you do to your Wii as far as software goes, you can still redownload purchased content for free? Nope, I've had my shop account deleted and sadly cannot re-download the games I purchased previously. Well that's only if you choose to delete it your self on the Wii Shop settings, it even tells you thatby NintendoFreak - Homebrew General
Quotebg4545The update is just to stop people from patching IOSes. It did not change the System Menu and does not necessarily "stop backups". It helps! I believe it makes it harder, dont you need the old IOS 41 to downgrade 15 to patch 36? I did enjoy reading about the DSi update! Screw all those pirates!! QuoteSifJarYeah, AnyTitle Deleter will do the job, just be careful with it. It shouldn't allow you to brick yourself completely, but still, be careful not to delete anything you aren't SURE you want rid of (esp. VC and WW games, as deleting them with AnyTitle Deleter means you have to buy them again if you want them back, instead of just redownloading for free) What?!? I was wondering the same! I saw the installers for the FCE and VBA but no SNES :*( I also had to get the WiiMC Channel Installer from the site 'cause its sadly not in the Homebrew browser...by NintendoFreak - Homebrew Applications
Just wanted to thank you all for the help and to let you know that I got my Wii flashed and is working again!! Ive been playing it non-stop ever since I got it back from the guy who flashed it for me. Im not messing with ANYTHING on that Wii anymore (IOS/ anything that the Wii runs on). Lesson Learned lol :) Im just using the Homebrew Channel for the HB games, etcby NintendoFreak - FixMii
How ironic, HBC gets an update for USB2. I wasted my time (and now money because I have to flash it :L) trying to install that stupid IOS202 ^_^by NintendoFreak - FixMii
Quotejbc007The regular Homebrew Browser repository does not contain any applications capable of modifying the NAND. I don't recall seeing a cIOS installer on there, but if there is, it it fake. Anyway, that folder is normal. Its contents indicate that some application downloaded (and most likely installed) IOS 60 and the oldest revision of IOS 36 (which does not work on "LU64+ wiis). Quotejbc007Well this is quite irritating. Somehow many IOSes are corrupted but not missing. You will have to either reflash your NAND backup, or wait for another system update, as that will probably provide a complete new set of IOSes to replace your corrupted ones. I really don't understand why this happened, I was following the instructions correctly. I think someone should check out tby NintendoFreak - FixMii
Quotejbc007Although using a hardware NAND programmer to reflash your NAND backup would work, this still may not be necessary. What happens when you perform an online update? Also, if you haven't already, you should try several different games, as those that don't use IOS 36 should either work or prompt you for an update (which should fix the problem). @Sonicdude, no preloader :( Quotejbc007It sounds like you have missing or corrupted IOSes. What are all the IOSes you modified and in exactly what ways did you modify them? QuoteSonicdude41I'm guessing that it got corrupted somehow, since you say that you can't load the HBC and some games. What version of the System Menu are you on? If you are on 4.2 or lower, you can use Bannerbomb to attempt to load homebrew. Using that, you can load DOP-Mii and attempt to patch IOS36 again. What would happen if someone attempted to downgrade IOS36 on an LU64+ Wii???? I think that's what I did and now my Wii won't load ANY channels/ games/ etc. The only thing that works is the System Menu. I was trying to install IOS 202, downgraded IOS15, tried to install IOS36. I didn't know that I could get a brick since I wasn't messing with the Wii Menu IOS (IOS80). Do I have any options?
