I recently installed Priiloader and after watching this, decided test whether uninstalling the system menu would remove Priiloader (since nothing was mentioned in the changelog, I figured that it would, but I decided to try it anyway). So, I uninstalled the system menu. Well, my wii is set to 16:9, but when I returned to the Homebrew Channel after uninstalling the system menu, it displayed in 4by jbc007 - Software
Use Dop-IOS Mod to install IOS 30 version 1040 and system menu 3.2u. Alternately, you can use NUS Downloader to download IOS 30 v1040 and system menu 3.2u WADs and install them with WAD Import.by jbc007 - FixMii
Are you able to boot into the system menu if you select system menu in Preloader? If you can't get into the system menu, what happens when you select system menu in Preloader? Or if you can get into the system menu, what is the issue that you want to fix? By the way, wiimotes can't be synced in Preloader. You have to sync one in the system menu, then you can use it in Preloader.by jbc007 - FixMii
NAND backups are about 528mb, so you need at least that much space on your SD card.by jbc007 - Getting Started
Very odd. Try using a gamecube controller in the Priiloader installer. If that doesn't work or you don't have a gamecube controller, you could boot an NTSC-U brawl disc with Gecko and use Smash Stack to launch homebrew. Load Dop-IOS Mod and install IOS 70 and system menu 4.2. Alternately, you could use NUS Downloader to download IOS 70 and system menu 4.2 WADs and install them withby jbc007 - FixMii
Quoteca390aMy wii was upgraded from 3.2J (English menu) Do you mean 3.2U? If so, install an NTSC-U system menu and its IOS (for system menu 4.0 or 4.1, you need IOS 60 version 6174). You must install the correct version of the correct IOS before installing the system menu, or your wii will be fully bricked. Try booting Loadmii from Preloader. If it works, you can use it to boot the Priiloader installer. If this does not work, you can boot Crazy Intro and have it load the Homebrew Channel, from which you can run the Priiloader Installer.by jbc007 - FixMii
Oh, yes, you're right. If the region free wii game hack is applied, it is a good idea to apply the remove disc update check hack as well so as not to brick from an out of region update.by jbc007 - Getting Started

In answer to your question, you can use WAD Manager to install the WADs; however, it is unsupported here because it can install illegal WADs. In fact, you can use any method to install IOS 60 you like, but you need to use a WAD if your wii is not connected to the internet. 3) If you uby jbc007 - FixMii

Other than that, any program that does not make changes to your wii is safe. Quotebeeks102) Can i brick my wii from homebrew by updateing my wii through nintendo? QuoteSifJarAnyway, I would advise using dop-IOS MOD to reinstall your System Menu, as it sounds like something is wrong with it. I would advise dop-IOS MOD over AnyRegion Changer, as with ARC, you can accidently change some settings which can mess up your Wii a bit (various region settings, which are best left alone) It is just as easy to mess up with Dop-IOS Mod as it is with AnyRegion Changerby jbc007 - FixMii
You can use Gecko OS to play games from other regions. If you want to launch other region games from the disc channel, you can use StartPatch, Starfall, or Priiloader region free hacks.by jbc007 - Getting Started
You could try reinstalling the system menu. The easiest way to do this is with AnyRegion Changer; however, you can also use Dop-IOS Mod or Install a system menu WAD. There is a slight rick of bricking your wii if you do this, so I recommend that you install Bootmii as boot2, if you have not already, before reinstalling the system menu.by jbc007 - FixMii
Can you launch the games through Gecko OS? Have you installed any system menu hacks, particularly region free hacks, with Preloader, Startpatch, or Starfall? Region free hacks can cause issues launching games from the disc channel.by jbc007 - FixMii
Just let it update, it will not cause any problems. However, if you really don't want to update, you can install Priiloader or Startpatch and have it block the update.by jbc007 - Getting Started
QuoteSuryoyoIs there anything else I need to check or pay attention to? Not that I can think of. It is always possible that something will go wrong, for example, if your wii has a bad block in the same place as a critical system menu block from your friend's wii, you may need to find another NAND dump. This, however, is unlikely, which is why I said that the bad blocks should not be an iby jbc007 - FixMii
If you can't turn on the wii with the wiimote, it is the bluetooth module, otherwise it isn't. The disc drive light blinking means that you have Bootmii installed as boot2. Get the Bootmii SD card folder and put it on the root of your SD card and put the card in your wii. As long as the SD card is supported by Bootmii, Bootmii will load when you turn on the wii. Only the official 4.2 update updates boot2; Wanky's updater does not. The NAND dump from your friend's wii on 4.1 should work. By the way, "safe" updaters often actually brick wiis. You should stay away from them from now on.by jbc007 - FixMii

QuoteSuryoyoUm.. please could you explain how I can check if the mentioned above matches? You can check the ones on the doner wii in Bootmii. If you don't already know the boot2 version of the bricked wii, you will have to guess based on how old it is or if you updated it to 4.2. If you updated the bricked wii to 4.2, it has boot2 v4 (the latest version) otherwise it probably has v2 or vby jbc007 - FixMii
Interesting situation. Anyway, glad you got it fixed. By the way, the Bootmii folder that you have on your SD card must not be the one made by the Hackmii Installer when you installed Bootmii. I recommend that you replace it with the origional one so that you can use Bootmii properly. If you don't have this folder, the Hackmii Installer can create another one. QuoteErikieI have a bricked wii with a boot1 version that prevents bootmii being installed. Is it still possible to flash boot2 with bootmii in it in this wii to unbrick it? No, however, if you have the keys from the bricked wii, you don't need to install Bootmii. If you don't have the keys, there is nothing that you can do.by jbc007 - BootMii Beta
Unfortunately, Bootmii as IOS is almost useless; you will not be able to access it to fix your wii. You will either need to send it to Nintendo and hope that they will fix it, or get a hardware NAND programmer. There is a discussion about that here, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Edit: The drive slot light blinking means that you have Bootmii installed as boot2. I didnby jbc007 - Getting Started
This will only work on a wii that is old enough to install Bootmii as boot2. Also, the boot1 versions from the doner wii and bricked wii must be the same, and the boot2 version from the doner wii must be the same or newer than that of the bricked wii. It will work if these conditions are met.by jbc007 - FixMii
This is why you should never use a "safe" updater. Anyway, was Bootmii installed as boot2 or IOS? Are the Bootmii files on an SD card that is in the wii? Was Bootmii's autoboot feature changed to system menu? Does your disc drive slot light blink when you turn on the wii?
