Quotejbc007QuoteMestizoOther than the fact that it could be far more convenient, since you won't have to go through processes like WIiSCU or NUS Downloader to update. This really makes no sense. QuotelorddunlowEdited after reading Axel's post: Videos (definitely not piracy in some instances) and emulator ROMs (don't know why these aren't considered piracy) are not considered piracy by this board, and definitely is what I use my HDD for on my Wii. I, too, did have problems with some USB sticks. Do all work on IOS58? Yes, it looks like all of them do. It's one fby Axel - Homebrew General

lol The games you need to rent/buy are: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (if you live in North America only), or Lego Indiana Jones (no matter what region you live in), or Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Wheelie Breakers (if you live in Europe/Japan) And these are the steps you need to follow with any of them to install the HBC into your Wii: Now go rent the one game that works for you!!!!by Axel - Homebrew General
IOS202 never worked well to me. It looked like it didn't detect FAT/FAT32 USB pen drives. I have read a lot of people with this same problem. Those same pen drives were detected flawlessly through IOS61 but USB was limited to 1.1 speeds. However I have heard that IOS202 worked very well on NTFS and WBFS USB Hard Disks. I'm not surprised since the purpose of IOS202 was mostly for pby Axel - Homebrew General
Everything you are discussing is just fine :) Regarding your concerns, you are right in saying that it looks to be conflicting viewpoints of is you should update or not. Personally I would say: Yes, go ahead and update! You will miss nothing! Quotesyco78Thanks Axel. I do like the feel of the new ones very much but not being able to use them for wii64 makes them useless to me. Do the older ones really feel that awkward? Quotecaitsith2Yeah, and even if you did spoof some elses MAC address, you still don't get access to their shop account, as that is not what the shop uses to uniquely identify your system. The shop uses your console ID and Serial number to uniquely identify your system, and your system's ECC public key, to issue the tickets to it. Those 3 things are what makes up the shop login credenby Axel - Homebrew General
You guys are getting this wrong... It is you shop account which gets linked to your MAC address. They can not identify your Wii through its serial number through the net, however, they have registered which MAC address correspond to each serial, that is why they ask your for your serial number, thus they link your account to the MAC address that corresponds to that serial. I can confirm that. The new classic controllers PRO use a different Device ID than old classic controllers, so they have to be implemented individually again on each homebrew app in order to support them. I believe they have been implemented to Libogc already by Tantric himself, that is why his emulators support them. All other apps which use Libogc need to be recompiled with the latest verby Axel - Homebrew Applications

No real answer so far. Bluetooth connection is available between any bluetooth enabled devices, only the right driver needs to be made. Bluetooth is a hardware technology for devices communication, which relies on high frequency, short range, radio signals. There is a reason why even some cops which make display of excessive violence and step over human rights are not able to see why what they do is bad. QuoteSifJarDunno if its possible on Wii, but it is possible to spoof a MAC address: Although intended to be a permanent and globally unique identification, it is possible to change the MAC address on most of today's hardware, an action often referred to as MAC spoofing. QuoteNintendoFreakQuotebg4545The update is just to stop people from patching IOSes. It did not change the System Menu and does not necessarily "stop backups". It helps! Nothing in the update is targeted to savegames. The nintendo message most probably wants to scare users to prevent them to use indiana pwns, which as you know, is based on a modified savegame. QuoteSifJarSo if you spoofed the MAC address to someone else's Wii, you could get their downloads for free? :P Hahaha! xD As far as I know, you can spoof IP addresses, but not MAC adresses. They are in your NAND and it is normal. You don't need to worry or to do anything with them. Taken from BootMii FAQs : QuoteWhy do I have all of these "bad blocks"? Can I fix them? This is completely normal; in order to bring down the price of NAND flash chips, all manufacturers will allow chips to leave the factory with a small number of bad blocks. I think his problem is that his SSBB freezes when he tries to use some hacks (aka cheat codes) for the game.
