well, if they aren't spinning, then I would say it's not detecting them at the hardware level (bad or dirty sensor?). I would try to find a cleaning kit first, then if that doesn't work, remove all traces of homebrew (Nintendo is now charging $210 for ANY repair on a Wii with evidence of homebrew, regardless of if it's related to the problem), then send it to Nintendo to get iby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
NTSC Wii System 4.0U HBC 1.0.3 Now then, if I'm not being flamed or banned yet, here's what's up. I've been homebrew capable since 3.3v1 (downgraded to 3.2 at one point). When system 4 came out, and then Preloader .29, I updated with a homebrew updater. After the update DVDx stopped working, so on a whim I tried the 3.4 installer and it worked perfectly. there is no 'trick'. as you've said, it's failing the network test because it's trying to connect to Nintendo WFC, which you don't want, and homebrew doesn't give a sh*t about. It is still configured though, even if the test fails. You Wii will not show up on your network like a regular computer. You need to find a IOS60/61 & Shop Channel updater, or update to system 4. To suppress disc updates, aside from using Gecko OS, you can either update to 4, or downgrade to 3.2 and install preloader and enable the skip disc update hack (there are no hacks for 3.4 at this time AFAIK).by bg4m3r - Getting Started
QuoteDrLuckycan't preloader do that too with a certain hack.ini file? BTW, what happened to your post count? You had a LOT more than 61 hacks.ini has nothing to do with startup dol loading...it's simply a function of preloader, which is what I was referring to. :) As for my post count, I have no idea...I never pay any attention to that! :Pby bg4m3r - FixMii

Preloader does more than just offer a shortcut to the HBC and add brick protection (depending on the exact nature of the brick, it can recover from up to a semi brick, btw). It also has the ability to apply various system menu hacks to supress disc updates, enable region free, supress the healthscreen, autoboot a disc, and some other stuff that I can't recall off-hand. I also have a netgear router and I did have a bit of a connection issue. Solved by setting the router to use only one channel, instead of auto. The suggested channels to use are 1, 6, or 11. I used 6 myself. This also fixed the strange behavior of ARC that jassim is talking about, so I think the problem is with your connection, not ARC jas.by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
uh....it would help if you actually typed out the name of the program that you're using....I'm going to assume you're talking about Quake. AFAIK multiplayer is not functional yet. As for maps, mods, etc, since this is a direct port of the PC version, it uses the stuff from the PC version, although I think that maps aren't useable either, again, because network play isn'tby bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications

That only worked because he deleted the HBC through channel management. This left the ticket and TMD on his Wii, which allowed him to copy the channel that he retreived from his friends Wii back onto his. As Arikado said, his Wii wasn't virgin. This leaves the question of why he deleted the HBC in the first place. Go ahead, try that on a virgin Wii (or one where the HBC was deleted with ATD)by bg4m3r - Getting Started
Exactly how did you remove your pirated games? If you just deleted them through the channel management, then you left the ticket and tmd on the Wii, thus making the Wii Shop think that you've already got it on your system and preventing the download. You need to either use WAD Manager to delete the pirated channels properly (requires the wads you used to install), or use AnyTitle Deleter toby bg4m3r - Software

In a nutshell, the game board is comprised of hex tiles, representing resources, randomly arranged at the start of the game. Players start with 2 villages and 2 roads placed anywhere. You win by building your settlements until you get 10 points by using resources, acquired during each players turn, to build additional villages (1 point), cities (2 points), and other stuff (longest road award is 2by bg4m3r - Homebrew General

You can use Preloader now to boot straight into the HBC. It's just that you have to be on 3.2 to use it, and the HBC isn't the very first thing to load, it just loads instead on the system menu. I'm not sure why OboeNerd said Preloader is a big risk, it's great for brick protection and other features (like temporary system menu hacks; i.e. skip disc updates, move the disc chanby bg4m3r - Getting Started
I would just map the SD card as a network location. Just use the 'Add Network Place Wizard', choose 'Choose another network location', and put ftp:// 192. 168. 1. xxx:21/sd (replace the xxx with whatever ftpii says and leave out the spaces. I know I'm probably the last person that should be bringing up new things to make for the Wii, but this idea came to me and I don't think I'd be too hard to code as the base game is fairly simple. I would do it myself, if I had even a grain of programming capability to build off of, but I don't; I really need to go back to school and fix that problem.
