I'm guessing by your post you installed the Homebrew Channel and expected to see stuff in it (ie the Homebrew Browser) when you opened it. I would suggest reading up on what the homebrew channel is / allows you to do here. Then i would read up on what the homebrew browser is here. (specifically the section cryptically entitled "How to Install"by mdbrim - Homebrew General
did you install the homebrew browser or the homebrew channel?by mdbrim - Homebrew General

QuoteHeh, sorry but writing up a personal statement does seem more important in my life than googling at this moment in time =p oh, but posting about bluetooth stacks on a wiibrew forum ranks up there with your personal statement... but not googling... :D Guess we know what you'll be studying! Just givin ya a hard time.by mdbrim - Offtopic
GRRLIB There are lessons and examples in the download from the website... plus a forum. Plus i can prolly help you with some of the basics (i've been using GRRLIB for most of my projects) I like GRRLIB, some people like LibWiiSprite... nothing better or worse about each of em, just two ways to "skin the cat"by mdbrim - Coding
they think the HBC has something in it (more like the HBB) They don't expect it to be a facilitator. QuoteThey really shouldnt install something if they dont know what it is... Agreed... this is why we have so many people come here asking about bricked wiis due to fail website tutorials. Read up on what you are about to do to your wii! :Dby mdbrim - Getting Started
I know how to do it in GRRLIB, but that obviously doesn't help you... Sryby mdbrim - Coding
QuoteIt was mdbrim making the big deal about it... wow... throw me under the bus!!! :D Quotei also dont get why people celebrate on reaching certain "landmarks" on their post count (except 1337, thats cool) ...so you DO get why people celebrate reaching landmarks. ANYWAY to get back on topic... QuoteGet gecko os from the HBB (homebrew browser), code downloader, and cheat manager.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
QuoteTo clarify what mdbrim said, if you have a private folder on your SD card before you tried running bannerbomb, it will mess it up. You have to rename the one that you previously had on your SD card to privateold. If you didn't already have a private folder, nevermind. :P yeah, sorry... what he said :D It probably won't apply to you if you were doing all of this with a new fby mdbrim - Getting Started

AmitR... i'll be happy to upload the elf file... i'll throw it up on google code when i get back to home computer. Daid... an interesting read... i do have a number of buffers that change during the game and one may be overflowing every once and a while... this may also explain why it only happens at random exits (1 in 15 times)... i'll take a look at my buffers when i get home.by mdbrim - Coding
and you said you are following this part to a T?: # Do NOT insert your SD card into the console yet # Power on your Wii and enter the Wii Settings menu # Go to "Data Management" then select "Channels" and then "SD Card" # Insert your SD card into the slot found in the front of your Wii console # A window should appear "Load Boot.dol/elf?" Click "Yes" What about this step: Get a SD cby mdbrim - Getting Started
The Homebrew Channel is just a channel that lets you launch apps that you put on your SD card (so you don't have to run the banner bomb or Twilight Hack everytime.)by mdbrim - Getting Started
I don't think so. Link to Image That's what it spits out at me... things to note: It has been the same dump even thought the code as gone thru many many changes... ie the address remains the same and i can't find any of those addresses when i look at the elf file or run the addr2line Appreciate all the help...by mdbrim - Coding

i use leechftp for windows... works for my needs.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
QuoteAlso, am I the only one that finds it sad that many people don't know what FTP is? i hear ya. i remember when that was all we had!by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
basically, anytime you take your sd card out of your wii to put it into your pc to add / remove files from it (roms, video, mp3s, homebrew that you can't get from the HBB) you can do the same with ftpii and not have to take your sd card out... you would just start ftpii on your wii and transfer away.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
have you ever used ftp before? (not trying to be insulting just curious... i'm starting to realize that a lot of "younger" folks don't know what ftp is and us "older" folks used to live off of ftp!!!) it makes it so you can transfer files back and forth from your wii to your pc. it creates an FTP server on your wii and then using your pc you use your favorite ftp client to connectby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
thanks for the ideas guys but it isn't a null pointer issue. If i could just find a way to successfully translate this dump! any other ideas?by mdbrim - Coding
yeah, we have a lot of that going on here! i just find it funny that people in a non profit homebrew scene are worried enough about stuff getting "leaked" so they are tagging their code. If I gave my code for testing to a bunch of people and it leaked out and someone decided to steal it and release it on fail websites, big deal. So what... what happens... a bunch of fail newbs get a copy oby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
QuoteEach developer even gets their own installer that has specifics marked in it on so that I can identify who leaked it if I have problems. /me rolls eyes why are you afraid of leaks? are you nintendo? ;)by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
yeah, you don't need to be connected to the internet to data transfer wirelessly from your wii to your pc. ftpii doesn't connect to an internet ftp server, it turns the wii INTO an ftp server and then you connect to it from your pc. and wiiload talks directly from the pc to the wii. No internet needed.by mdbrim - Getting Started

QuoteI'd have to agree with TopGun96, why would you want to stay connected without internet. Uhhh for the exact reason he said... Quotefor media streaming to the Wii you don't need the internet to do a bunch of stuff on the wii.. wiiload, ftpii, and for the reason he asked Quotei believe the answer is no. of course you can. He's not trying to connect it to the INTEby mdbrim - Getting Started
you still might want to edit out some of the illegal stuff... Even though you added that disclaimer, most folks here probably won't help since they know that. Sorry man, i have no experience with bricks...by mdbrim - Getting Started
