gotcha... thanks for the heads up Tantric... that saves me a ton of time continuing on the road I was going down. I'll change lanes and try something else! When you say extend it to do something like this... do you mean do to tiles or work with other graphic libs (or both).by mdbrim - Coding
Yes dogger, your analogy is correct... the hombrew channel is sort of like a browser in that all you will see is bubbles when you don't have any apps in your sd:\apps folder So make a folder on the root of your SD card and call it apps lowercase. Then you can download apps from wiibrew.org and put them in the apps folder and the homebrew channel will display those apps (like a brby mdbrim - Getting Started
So we're going with the not possible route eh? Ok cool. Now to figure out how to mix graphic libraries here. I can easily get the commands in and have it all compile... Any one have any experience with getting the two dif DRAWing commands to play well together. IE using APPEND-> stuff with libwiigui and having it play nicely with say GRRLIB_Renderby mdbrim - Coding
no, he's right... to my surprise, it is on the default one... just added a couple days ago. Interesting.by mdbrim - FixMii
ahhh, slight confusion. I found the gui.h which gives me most of what i need. only problem is that's not what i meant by tile. that just repeats the image over and over again. I'm looking for having an image with multiple tiles in it, and then saying draw tile 1 or draw tile 2 of the whole image. Think animation style, scrolling thru tiles and what not. Any ideas? I'mby mdbrim - Coding
sweet, i'll take a look at those. I'm imagining that you have to predefine the image for use with tiles... as in define how big each tile is so that we you give a tile number, it knows what to grab. Any hints on that? I'll take another look at gui.h and see what i can absorb! Thanks!by mdbrim - Coding
Ok, I'm a GRRLIB user trying to branch out to help someone update something they did with libwiigui... Trying to figure out how to draw an image. Thru trial and error, (and copying existing code) I can get an image to display using the boah = new GuiImageData(arrow_left_png); boahImg = new GuiImage(boah); boahImg->SetAlignment(ALIGN_MIDDLE, ALIGN_MIDDLE); boahImg->SetPosby mdbrim - Coding
means you can install Bootmii as IOS but not as boot2... pretty self explanatory :Dby mdbrim - Homebrew General
I'm curious to see how many of those saying "Don't censor me, the body is a work of art... what's the big deal" have kids older than 10. My kids are not that old yet, but I can EASILY see why you want some of these features mentioned and why it could be a big deal. 10 years ago, i would have been in the "who cares" pile. (i still have one foot in that pile)by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
Quotei do not understand why there is no check for bad images before putting an app in the homebrew browser, were kids can download it. Because the HB scene wasn't originally designed with needing to censor it's content. This is a GLOBAL community and societies across the world have different views on content screening and even the defined age of a minor. Not saying it is right or wby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
no, nintendo and apple aren't going to legally come after you... they never were. It's always been legal. But they can deny or void warranties all they want. no one is going to force them to honor a warranty of an altered console. You alter the console, that's great, you own it, but don't expect your warranty to hold... you voided it. Same thing with some older compby mdbrim - Offtopic

GRRLIB can be used for C++ as well... QuoteI haven't used it in a long time, but plenty of people use it, so it can't be too difficult. lol maybe you should stop saying crap you know nothing about then! libwiigui, libwiisprite, GRRLIB.... They are all relatively easy / relatively hard. I found libwiigui to be incredibly straight forward and simple... Just depends on whatby mdbrim - Coding
IPv4 is where it says IP-Address... and it shouldn't show you *** (and if you did that than there is no need... it's an internal IP addy... no need to be secret!) and i doubt it is 192.198.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
yes but the only way to do that with a clean start (ie all settings back to their "factory default") is to set those variables back to their defaults manually. There is no 'working' reset app line. According to the wiki... your options are: SYS_RESTART /*!< Reboot the gamecube, force, if necessary, to boot the IPL menu. Cold reset is issued */ SYS_HOTRESET /*!< Restaby mdbrim - Coding
libmii reads from the ISFS and the method it implores is quite different from your method above. If you continue to get stuck, you can try the way I did it in libmii. Not saying it's a better way, but it might be something worth trying if you get stuck.by mdbrim - Coding
i've seen a couple out there... i'll ask the guy that did mine if he is interested... i'm looking into getting the hardware for it so that i may do it as well. I'll let you know.by mdbrim - Homebrew General

can't help you with your problem but noticed a few things from your earlier posts that i can help with... DVDX isn't an app and isn't going to do anything noticeable, it's just something that will allow OTHER things to access DVDs, so you won't see anything with just a DVDX install. my guess would be no... the only reason 8 player support works is because essentially you are playing a four player game (four wiimotes with nunchucks) but the programmer made one SET of controls control two bunnies. so you just pass half your controls (the nunchucks) to someone else and have 8 individual controls... hence 8 at once. That's just an educated guess though, i have not messeby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications

on your sd card, in your bootmii folder, edith the bootmii.ini file you can set the AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU so that it'll boot right to the normal wii and you can set the BOOTDELAY=5 to however long you want a delay. The delay gives you the menu, so you can select something if you want within the time period... and if you do nothing, it'll just load whatever you have set to AUTOBOOT.by mdbrim - BootMii Beta
