I used to be an engineer (in my younger days) and... wait, you're right, i can't spell either! QuoteThanks. Daid already confirmed this for me. Yeah sorry, his post was too long, i didn't even read all of it :Dby mdbrim - Coding
"moot" not "mute" :D yes you can draw your stuff outside a while loop... we usually have it in the loops so that things can change (animation, switches, etc) but in your scenario, you could have a static background rendered outside the loop, then run your loop for time and then move on. Partial screen updating (like cale mentioned) wouldn't be really worth it.by mdbrim - Coding

hope so... i shoulda kept my non holiday spirit version up instead of editing it... damn kids these days with their crappy attitudes and work ethic. He probably just got a new one for christmas.by mdbrim - Homebrew General
dan, i ran into the same problem... i have a first gen Wii and a while back was 95% sure that when i tried to install bootmii as boot2 it said i couldn't. On a whim (for reasons i still don't know) i decided to try again when the new hackmii installer came out and i quickly rejoiced in the "welcome to bootmii as boot2" club. SO if any of you have older wiis and were told by earlieby mdbrim - Homebrew General
to add on to what the above posts mention... the homebrew channel is just a facilitator... it allows you to launch apps that YOU put on your SD card. it doesn't contain those apps, you have to download them via the internet or the Homebrew Browser using the above instructions.by mdbrim - Getting Started
yeah it looks like that card only works partially based on the Compatibility Testsby mdbrim - Homebrew Applications

I.R. I'll look into it. My previous attempts to shrink file sizes (while keeping dimensions the same) have resulted in the same problem you have come across. I tried to do it in Wii Double Down to bring that size down and had same problems... so i let my graphics guy do it! i'll send them to him to see if he can work his magic!by mdbrim - Ideas, requests
No no, i have no problems with folks doing their own thing with this... that's the beauty of open source. I just had planned on doing the same thing... either an addon or library that is for each of the current graphics libraries... IE GRRLIB users would install libmiigrrlib and it would include GRRLIB commands for doing mii's (including body etc) NON GRRLIB users would use the oby mdbrim - Coding

wow, I go away on vacation and LordAshes takes the reins and runs with them... SWEET! I.R.on... what you said! That exactly what i was going for as far as my plan of attack. I think what LordAshes is doing is a good idea, i just think that since everyone uses a dif graphics library, we need to keep apples with apples and oranges with oranges... i'll be happy to work with users of otheby mdbrim - Coding

Awesome, thanks Arikado, glad you like it! Thanks for all your help! Next stop: more casino games... (hmm i'm wondering if my gambling habit is becoming obvious...)by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
For those that have been following it / helping me... it's done! (for now) For those that haven't... go check it out! This has been about 12 months in the making (what? i've been busy) Had to delay it a bit so I could finish up fixing libmii and add Mii support... that's right... use your favorite Miis in this little blackjack game/simulator with a ton of new features.by mdbrim - Homebrew Applications
alright fixed the # of miis problem... it was set to draw 100 miis even if you only had 30. which meant you got your 30 and then 70 random crap ones. This had to be done this way at first due to the way the mii randomly stores wii's within the block of data (it'll all be clear for those interested when i post the files, readme explanation, examples, and source) But fixed that so itby mdbrim - Testing Corner
yeah i need to touch up the color portions... i was just taking stabs at it since i can't find any good color tones to match them up with... i'm basically guessing at the color and trial and error. been gone for three weeks... good to be back... finishing her up! I'll try to preemptively answer Sawbone's next questions: Yes, Waxy is correct, the easiest thing to do is an official update. No it is not dangerous to do an official update (so long as you don't pull the power cord out while updating). Yes your homebrew will still work (you won't even have to reinstall so long as you have the latest HBC). You can install bootmby mdbrim - Getting Started
We passed a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke. What could possibly go wrong?by mdbrim - Offtopic
Awesome I.R.on, thanks for the feedback and testing! Quotepossibly you are drawing hair after drawing the eyes? That's exactly what is happening. The funny thing is that's what my mii channel does too. I just made your mii in my mii channel and it puts the hair above the eyes. you're saying that in your mii channel it draws the eyes above the hair? that's crazy!by mdbrim - Testing Corner
Get your wii the way you want it, THEN back it up. But a NAND backup has nothing to do with the apps on your SD card so whatever you do to the SD card is unaffected by restoring your NAND... so i'm not sure what you are talking about "lost several applications" move keys.bin and nand.bin to the location of your choice!by mdbrim - Getting Started
no need to get another app to do it... just open your bootmii.ini file located in the bootmii folder on your sd card and change Bootdelay to something longer, or the autoboot option to whatever you want.by mdbrim - BootMii Beta
no problem! that's what we're here for.by mdbrim - Getting Started
you can just download the latest version to your computer and put it on your sd card and run it like an app. the latest version is 1.06 so check to see what you have... you may already have it. Edit: yes it would be safe to do what you posted, but easier to update HBC first THEN update wii. that way you don't have to do the exploit again (not that that's hard, but it'll saby mdbrim - Getting Started
