Is there any particular reason why it won't load when I use the HBC, yet it loads fine with the TCP loader?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Tested: Ocarina of Time Results: Returned me to the main menu Tested: Majora's Mask Results: Crashed, but that's do be expected(after all, it's a 8mb expansion game and it only supports 4mb) EDIT: can someone tell me how loading from a DVD works? Can I use a DVD-RW on it? EDITEDIT: Tested: Mario 64 Results: Runs at half speed in "Pure Interpreter" mode. The sound isby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
looks like I gotta un-register from ripway, now!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Okay, I just thought up I brilliant way to test banners with out risking a brick(sort of), but it requires a modchip. All you do is make a wii disk(if that is not possible to do, as much as it pains me to say it, download one from wiisos) and put your banner in there. I the Wii bricks when you insert the disk, just remove the disk and you're back to normal.by strongfan - Homebrew General
All of our emulators (other than wii 64, but that's blatantly obvious) work much better than Nintendo's emulators. Therefore, there is no point in this.by strongfan - Homebrew General
Do what you want because a pirate is free! YOU are a pirate! Yar har fiddle dee dee! Being a pirate is okay to be! Do what you want because a pirate is free! YOU are a pirate! Wii got us a map! To lead us to a hidden box that's all locked up with locks and burried deep away! Wii all dig up the box! And then wii open the box! And then wii say hooray! Yar har fiddle dee dee! If this gets finished before wii64, then I will loose all faith in emukidid.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Is it possible to potentially use "cheats" on the system menu/VC games by rebooting? Because, I just did a test by rebooting with ocarina activated and running my game disk from the menu(SSBB) and my cheats were activated. Does this mean that you could potentially use cheats on VC/Wiiware games with this? PS:No, I don't have a USB Gecko.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
emukidid has a youtube account! You can contact him that way! That's how I did.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Let's say(theoretically) that I injected a dol file into the HBC WAD, and it either gave me a banner brick or some other kind of brick due to a bad channel, and I had system menu version 3.3. Would SaveMii be able to Save Me?by strongfan - FixMii
Old ELF files are not compatible with the new HBC. Old DOL files are still compatible. But that doesn't matter. Who would even use the old version of Wii64 anyhow?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
I think that it should be aloud, as long as it doesn't involve the Backup Loader Channel and installing VC/Wiiware WADS. Also, I think ROM injection should be aloud, so long as the person(s) doing it already own the game or a form of it.by strongfan - Feedback & Support
Installing VC WADS is illegal and not supported on this forum. Also, how did you get apps as a channel? I always thought that it couldn't be done!by strongfan - Homebrew General
yes, it's safe for "I my brother and a friend" to update. Anyhow, I have an idea! Does the firmware downgrader work? If so, you could run the downgrader with the Twilight Hack and THEN install the homebrew channel, and then re-update it. Does that sound practical?by strongfan - Homebrew General
Okay, this has been stated many times and for some reason people STILL can't get it through their heads: PIRACY IS NOT SUPPORTED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!by strongfan - The Junkyard
I can't wait to play Majora's Mask... or to cheat on n64 games! Either one works.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Mplayer is not perfect. It's essentially an Emulator/Interpreter for DVDs. Not all DVDs are compatible, and most that are have minor problems.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
M'kay, I just got to Agathim in Link's Awakening on VBAGX, and I tried to skip the cutscene by going into fast framerate mode. For some reason, it didn't activate. So, I returned to the emulator menu to check out the preferences, and everything was OK. Then, I accidentally returned to the HBC and I pannicked because I didn't want to loose my save data. When I got back to Vby strongfan - The Junkyard
Sure! All that they do is map button presses on the NES controller to presses on GC controllers! If you don't believe me, then plug it in and try playing a gamecube game! It works! As for the USB thing, yes! That's totally possible! We already have emulators that run ROMs off of USB drives, so that should make USB controllers possible! On top of that, Guitar Fun uses the USB keyby strongfan - Homebrew General
Man, somebody should make a compiler specifically for Wii homebrew. That way, we wouldn't have this problem. Also, I just happened to install Linux on my computer yesterday, so I can tell you how to partition your hard drive without loosing any data! Email me (strongfan@fastmail.fm) if you want any help!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
I think they have something like that on Wii Ware called Defend Your Castle. They also have that same game on the Xgen website, acccessable internet channel. So, there's really no point in that yet.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
probably because that's what comes with devkitproby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
ah... looks like I just might have to try to compile it as well!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
wait- how did you get ahold of the source code?! Why would they give the latest version of the source code to you? They told me(through email) that if they released it before dynaric recompiler was done, there would be complaints! If you get it compiled, you GOTTA upload it, man!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Well, if it's bricked, just tell them to use the brickfixer. If it is just a normal thing, I don't know what to tell you. There have been stories of people with the homebrew channel who sent their Wii in for repairs of some kind and it returning with homebrew still on there, but I would still try to avoid it. If it isn't bricked, use Wanikoko's WAD uninstaller to uninstallby strongfan - Homebrew General

um... does this allow for running GC homebrew? Or for (potentially) running games with cheats? If not, then this is kinda pointless.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
