The Homebrew Channel will be fine after the update. We don't care about your USB loader, those are against the rules of this forum.by SifJar - Homebrew General
We do not support USB Loaders here. If you want your games to work properly, buy them and play them from the discs via the standard Wii disc channel. Unless you installed some seriously stupid, dangerous and invasive modification for the purpose of piracy, playing games from the disc channel should always work just fine.by SifJar - Homebrew General
You shouldn't get that error unless you've enabled some settings in Gecko OS. You definitely shouldn't get that error with either TinyLoad or Riivolution, so try both of them instead of Gecko OS.by SifJar - Getting Started
What sort of hacks? What program are you using? Without details like that, there is no chance anyone can help you...by SifJar - Homebrew General
Without BootMii/boot2, your Wii is now completely bricked. If you have a NAND dump, someone with a hardware NAND flasher could possibly fix it for you if you can find someone. Otherwise, your Wii is now history, I'm afraid.by SifJar - FixMii
Run a system update from the Wii Settings. This should fix your problems. If you get an error, make sure to disable any Priiloader hacks you have enabled first.by SifJar - FixMii
Here's the version with argument support: Note that both versions are written by FIX94, should have credited him in my previous post as well.by SifJar - Coding

You don't need everything on the same SD card. You only need BootMii on your currently inserted SD card when you want to access BootMii. It's not needed if you're not running BootMii. So for example you can have one SD card set up with BootMii and your NAND backup, and only insert that card in the case of a brick (or for updating your NAND backup periodically), while using anotherby SifJar - BootMii Beta
I'm pretty certain the transfer software works just fine, even with HBC still installed. It'll only transfer official software anyway, and ignore anything else. It also shouldn't affect the warranty of the WiiU, seeing as you aren't doing any unauthorized on the WiiU itself.by SifJar - Wii U - Wii Mode
You're probably much better off to use WiiMC (native Wii homebrew app, decent media player, but not quite of the same calibre as XBMC) or possibly GeeXbox (a specialised Linux distro for media usage). I haven't tried GeeXbox, but I use WiiMC reasonably regularly and it's certainly pretty decent. Doesn't have the impressive metadata features of XBMC though (stuff like cover artby SifJar - Wii Linux
GC AR is blocked on the Wii, but there is an AR Loader homebrew app I think. Can't remember if that's the exact name or not. Alternatively, I think there's a modified version of Gecko OS which can use cheats in GC games. In both cases, you need to install a patched MIOS I think (which isn't really supported here, as most patched versions of MIOS can be used for GC warez as welby SifJar - Homebrew General
QuoteWiiIsAwesomeHey what about a WAD Theme? Eh?That's even more stupid and pointless. Anyhow, this is yet another very old topic you've replied to.by SifJar - Homebrew General
You own every single SNES game? That's impressive, must take up quite a lot of space though, all those cartridges...by SifJar - Homebrew General
I'm fairly sure the worst they can legally do is refuse to fix it and send it back, or else offer to fix it at a cost (but they shouldn't be able to force you to pay, you should be able to request them to send it back as is). As for the likeliness of them finding it; there are still traces left, even after uninstalling with HackMii Installer. If they want to find it, they will. But sby SifJar - Homebrew General
You did not need to uninstall and reinstall stuff just to switch SD cards. All you had to do was copy everything over from the 64MB card to the 2GB card. It's possible the 2GB card doesn't work with the exploit for some reason. Reinstall using the 64MB one again and then just copy everything from that card onto the 2GB and continue using your Wii normally but with the 2GB card.by SifJar - Homebrew General
Hold reset as you turn on your Wii to access the Priiloader menu and disable the "block online updates" hack. It is a pointless and useless hack, you probably enabled it because you followed some silly guide made by someone under the false impression that telling you to blindly do things you don't understand is a good idea. It becomes an issue at times like these when you actually want to doby SifJar - Homebrew General
Try loading the game via TinyLoad, Gecko OS or Riivolution. (Try all three; if it doesn't work in one, it might still work in another).by SifJar - Getting Started
You use a WAD installer (or "manager" if you will...), but I can't give specific details here because the tool can also be used for warez (installing pirated VC and WW WADs), which is against the rules of these forums.by SifJar - Homebrew General
Any issues you have read about concerning USB controllers are probably referring to backups, which rely on often poorly coded "cIOS" (essentially modified versions of important system files). Due to the poor coding of these "cIOS", USB controllers are sometimes broken in backups. With original games, they should always be fine.by SifJar - Getting Started
Team Twiizers (group behind very first Wii exploit , the Homebrew Channel, BootMii and a bunch of later exploits , as well as running the HackMii blog detailing some of the more technical details of Wii hacks over the years) certainly had a donation link at one point, but it seems to be broken now. - the "donate" button leads to a PayPal error page. Nope. Someone would have to mimic Nintendo's Connect24 server and then patch the System Menu to use their custom server for it to work, and I doubt there are enough homebrewers who even care enough for it to be worth all that effort. (And cost; servers aren't free to run)by SifJar - Getting Started
"moving some new games onto my hdd" - that sounds an awful lot like you're talking about "backup loaders", but I'm sure that can't be the case because I know you read the rules of the forum...right? (Hint: We don't support "backup" loaders here, because 99% of the time they are used for piracy. Regardless of how you're using them, they are not acceptable topics of discby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
You can use NUSD on your computer to download the required titles and place them on your SD card, and then DOP-Mii can install them from the SD card. Download the required titles, pack them to WAD (there's a checkbox for this in NUSD), then place them on the SD card in a folder named "WAD". DOP-Mii should then see them.by SifJar - FixMii
I already answered that: QuoteSifJarI'm guessing you're all using the newer "Wii Remote Plus" Wii Remotes, with built MotionPlus? They don't work with older homebrew, and the only way to fix is to recompile them with the latest libraries.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications

I'm guessing you're all using the newer "Wii Remote Plus" Wii Remotes, with built MotionPlus? They don't work with older homebrew, and the only way to fix is to recompile them with the latest libraries. For region free gaming, you have a few options; Gecko OS is a popular one, but it is a little dated and bloated (has a bunch of features besides region free, some of which don't work properly on updated Wiis). One of the extra features it has that does still work is cheats in games. If that's your thing, maybe consider it (although don't cheat online, because that's a horrby SifJar - Getting Started
I literally just explained it... Make a folder on the root of your SD card called "apps". Within that folder, make a seperate folder for each app. In each app's folder, put the app. When you download the app, there should be a "boot.dol" and probably an "icon.png" and a "meta.xml", and maybe some other files. All these go into the app's folder.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
