NVM, determined USB port to be broken. Just swapped Wiis with someone else.by PetMetroid - Homebrew General
Umm, so everyone else seems to have no problems hooking up their RB2 dongles to their second USB port (port1, not port0). When I try to use this port, they won't work. Port0 works just fine. When using port1, the light will BARELY turn on when plugged in or sync button is pressed. I tried plugging it in both directly and through a powered hub with the same results. I know WADS are no-no, so I won't make any mention near that, but Tantric's official emulator channel forwarders don't seem to work for me never the less. When I load them, I'm given the black screen and my Wiimote shuts off. Anyone experiencing any problems getting channels on the new menu, or do I have another problem?by PetMetroid - Wii U - Wii Mode
I thought WADs were for forwarders too, but, yeah. Makes sense. The code to do that for a channel would be similar, but have different parameters, definitions, etc. Well, I feel much better now knowing that it should be possible.by PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
I understand why that is. So, the thing is that this code is written for a loader to, after launching a Wii game, modify the Wii Menu files as they being copied into the memory, right? This won't work with a channel because of two things. First of all, this code would need to be modified anyway because it is written to await the input of "launching the game" and is directed to the "disk," whby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
As long as the email client works, that's fine with me. I think RSS feeds were already planned, but that would be nice too. With either of these I could just fake Wii messages sent to me without having to go to the Wii Menu. All us homebrewers will be looking forward to it, just as much as a new release of Wii64. WTF happened to that anyway?by PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
If he were to update it, he'd release it with a lot more than just a search feature. What will it be now, v0.4? When will it be an official 1.0? LOLby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
Well, whatdaya know. The thing is though I don't know how to combine this with the other code (and I'm not surprised.) Will someone compile these two and show how they look together? #include "gccore.h" #include "wiiuse/wpad.h" #include "ogc/ios.h" #include "fat.h" #include "stdio.h" #include "stdlib.h" #include "string.h" #include "unistd.h" static void *xfb = NULL; statiby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
Are you saying that Loaders steal copy protected source codes from Nintendo to develop their software? Well, that would be illegal then and hopeless for development without breaking the law. If there's the slightest chance someone finds a program that accomplishes this that is made from original open sourced code and not Nintendo's, this would be the place to share it, but I guess thatby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
If anyone is familiar with the app called bootOpera, it is basically a small app that launches the Opera Wii Channel from a homebrew loader. Its purpose? For people like me who use the Homebrew Channel as an alternative to the Wii Menu. The one thing that this does not do, however, is return back to the Homebrew Channel, which almost makes it pointless. I have come across one application whichby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
I am guessing that this may be a HBC or IOS related problem, so am posting it here instead of the Applications category. I always seem to have the problem of not being able to launch channels in Gecko without it resetting the Wii to the System Menu. I seem to remember fixing this before, but for whatever reason, the problem keeps coming back and I forget what I did to fix it. I'm runningby PetMetroid - Homebrew General
I have bootmii installed on my Wii, and I would like it to automatically boot the Homebrew Channel. When I load the Homebrew Channel from bootmii (either manually or automatically) it goes black, plays with the DVD drive a little, and does nothing else. Some jerk on Yahoo Answers told me I "did it wrong." I reinstalled it and nothing changed. Can anyone tell me why it's not loading the Homebby PetMetroid - BootMii Beta
Guitars on Fire is a great application, but it's just not complete to compete with a fully developed guitar game like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. OK, I understand the limitations of unknown coding, like the whammy bar for instance. However, I just don't understand why Daid (the developer of GoF) hadn't put in star power when either the motion sensitivity or the minus button are botby PetMetroid - Ideas, requests
I've been using the Homebrew Browser since I started brewing my Wii. I'm downloading from the Wiibrew site to visually see what is being installed. Each of the two examples have only one folder of contents which is placed in the apps folder. I can be more specific though about what is happening: CosmoRaketti launches a grey and white distorted menu (like TV static) which I think Iby PetMetroid - Homebrew General
That's true. I've wondered this too. Isn't it some kind of feed URL or something? And if so, there's gotta be a string in one of the included files.by PetMetroid - Homebrew Applications
That is a bit picky. I've had other rendering problems with that game in the past. For instance, in ZSNES I've had the character sprites (including Chrono) motionlessly hover up staircases without even walking! A credible complaint would have been the usage of that game on a NDS ported emulator, where the layering couldn't be set perfectly and I would walk behind rocks, walls,by PetMetroid - Homebrew Applications
You need to be more descriptive. Have you tried syncing the second remote with other applications or do they all have this problem?by PetMetroid - Homebrew Applications
I have a few homebrew games I would like to play on my Wii, however, they seem as though they do not work. Two examples of this are Smashing and CosmoRacketti. From what I remember right now, these two games start up (to what I believe is to be the game menu,) but the screen is completely distorted, like a static TV antenna reception. I am running the latest HBC, and I am on System Menu 4.1.by PetMetroid - Homebrew General
