well back on topic.... I prefer startpatch. Preloader bricked my wii when trying to install it on 4.1. i have bootmii so i dont need preloader and never use the dol loading feature. Startpatch hasnt caused any problems and works flawlessly without any issues.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72Quotepicopir8Please no BGM. Music is very subjective and one persons taste in music (or lack there of) may not be the same as someone else. Besides, what is the point, I doubt people would sit in the HBC to listen to music, get a media app for that. I am in it for on average about 10 seconds (just long enough to find and launch an app). Now, if the menu could be improved to sby ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
Custom Ordering of menu items, by saving a config file to the wii or something. Color switching or Backgrounds would be cool. As a long shot, HBB integration.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
well.... my internet worked and i tried the black screen fix. Installed latest IOS60 with WiiSCU. Uninstalled HBC. Installed HBC. And still, no luck. So it seems this is a bug in HBC version 1.0.3, or my wii is just jacked up. Any recommendations would be appreciated!by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
haha i remember that gag from my science class.... the website is really convincing.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
ok i didnt do either of those things and have found a new bug! Looks like the Newest version of HBC installed with hackmii installer beta 3 freezes when trying to load off of a USB drive. Worked fine before, now whenever i have my USB drive with my apps plugged in, it wont load. Oh and my HBC uses IOS21 v 2.2 btw. EDIT: Ok tried some scenarios and here are my results. 1. wait.... so your saying that even if he doesnt have an internet connection, he can still do data transfers over and FTP server?by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
Well i cant believe im actually posting a question in the getting started section, but here it goes... I updated to bootmii beta 3 with the new hackmii installer, and decided to update the HBC too (at the time i didnt know that i already had the latest version.) Well, now when i try to launch the HBC, i get nothing but a black screen. The icon/banner displays fine, but the HBC itself just wont loby ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
Homebrew checks maybe before updating? I know that some people from other places couldnt get it working either. It may just be that the servers are overloaded though too...by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
To emulate anything the basic principle, from what ive been told, is that the machine emulating it must hasve at least 2 times the processing, graphics, memory power of the original. This is why it is so hard to emulate things even on a normal PC.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
Well, none of the online applications are gonna do it, as theyre not robust enough for a shirt with a lot of graphics. Instead of having the waves on the sleeves, how about just putting the water and bubbles and logo below the sleeves and have the waves, bubbles and water wrap around the whole shirt. Then put the twiizers logo toward the neck on the back.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic

Good for bricks i guess.... I mean if you havent made a back up or are using preloader only this is great, but i see the piracy possibility.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
QuoteDanielHuehoFor some reason, I suspect that maybe someone send a fake letter to YouTube... Who other than nintendo themselves dislikes homebrew? But the name does soind fishy. I think it would say "Nintendo Inc." Or "Nintendo of America/Europe/Japan"by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
Someone even said that there was entire category of applications that were called preloaders, that worked like bootmii. There are only 2 things that can even do that.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic

I get it now..... It just sounded like he was saying that it would be running a game. I now read my own post with shame.... :(by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
i guess your dumb. Whoops did i say that out loud? Read your first post again. It says: "Well they can't do anything about warez tutorials because they don't own copyright on the software." This is wrong. They can do everyhting in theyre power to a warez tutorial. Yes, they dont own the software running the warez, but they do own the games that are being run. SifJar is right. Wait, so if i have a "3rd party" controller, i dont need to take it apart?by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
QuotemusicinstinctNo... it's not going to run the Wii Emulator. But performance wise it's doing really well with just the generic video card drivers. I still have to work out how to compile the VIA drivers as I believe this is the answer to getting max performance out of the graphics. I've been busy with work over the past couple of weeks so I've not had much time to work oby ChuckBartowski - Offtopic

im lucky i read that ps statement..... But anyway, i dont get what your saying. You said Boot-It (the wiilinux launcher) in the title, but bootmii in your question. First off, if your trying to use bootmii to load linux, you wont get anywhere. If you do mean boot-it, make sure you have your wii linux images placed properly and actually have some.
