Are you using the MiKe kernel via BootMii? If not, WiFi won't work I don't think. If you are, I have no other ideas to suggest.by SifJar - Wii Linux
Make sure there is nothing plugged into any ports on the Wii (USB, Gamecube controller, Gamecube memory card), as that can cause problems.by SifJar - Getting Started
QuotebrunolunkesActually my point was about the original games I bought...Yes, but you were also talking about uloader and a hard drive full of warez.by SifJar - Getting Started
First off, we don't give any support regarding "backup" loading here (and considering you bought the Wii with the hard drive full of games supplied, I doubt a single one of them is a "backup"). Secondly, all updates are completely safe, except if it's an out of region game (i.e. different region to the Wii itself). It might break your warez crap, but I don't much care about thatby SifJar - Getting Started
Maybe you should try reading the rules of these forums. (And FYI, you never "just downloaded .DOL files and put them on your SD card"; you have always needed to put them in the right place on the SD card)by SifJar - Getting Started
If you've done this before, surely you know that Homebrew Channel is simply a loader for homebrew apps. To do anything useful with it, you need to put some apps on your SD and load them. What apps you use is up to you. Many people like to start with the Homebrew Browser, as from there you can download a whole host of other homebrew apps and games. Another widely used app is WiiMC, a media ceby SifJar - Getting Started
You can already install it within the Wii Mode of the WiiU. There is no native WiiU homebrew at this point in time. If that changes, there will be news atby SifJar - Homebrew General

I think there should be one "Fix Error 002" or "002 fix" or something along those lines. Although I'm not completely sure as I've never used it.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
Yes, it works just fine. WiiConnect24 =/= WiFi. You can have WiFi setup without having WiiConnect24 enabled. WC24 just handles the message board etc. Normal online stuff (e.g. shop channel, internet channel, netflix, youtube channel, online multiplayer etc.) works just fine with it disabled. EDIT: And zombieram, only one thread was necessary. You could very easily have asked both questions inby SifJar - Getting Started
I think there's some option in Gecko OS for fixing Error 002; have you tried that? Failing that, you could always try loading the game with Riivolution and see if that works. There's a way to load games with standard Ocarina cheat codes (the same ones Gecko OS uses) with Riivolution.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
I can't answer all your questions, but I'll do the best I can: For many years, the Homebrew Channel (HBC) has been the de facto standard for launching homebrew. The only thing that has really changed is how the channel is installed. At the current point in time, there are a reasonable number of exploits available for use with everything up to the latest version of the system softwareby SifJar - Getting Started
There was a bug in the HackMii Installer released yesterday, a bug fix has been released. If you download the newest version of the HackMii Installer now, it should work fine.by SifJar - BootMii Beta
"Trucha bug restorer" is a piece of software to patch IOS. If you don't that, or what IOS patching is, you should definitely not be using the software. It is dangerous software and you can mess things up with anything that involves IOS patching; without knowing what you're doing you are much more likely to do so. WAD installers are not necessary for anything other than piracy (and Iby SifJar - Getting Started
We do not support WAD installers here, refrain from talking about them again. Likewise, we do not support any sort of IOS patching, and we therefore cannot help you with the software "Trucha Bug Restorer" (which by the way is misnamed as it does not restore the trucha bug, but that's an aside). It is also unnecessary for anything we support here (i.e. only useful for "backups", WADs etc.;by SifJar - Getting Started
Yeah: Go into the settings menu on your Wii and choose "System Update". Official updates don't brick your Wii, and the latest update doesn't remove HBC either.by SifJar - Getting Started
You can run other applications just fine without BootMii, apps are run from HBC, not BootMii. However when you signed up to this forum, and when you made this post, you agreed NOT to talk about backups, which you did. Please refrain from doing so again. Also, I strongly advise against following YouTube tutorials. They are almost always out of date, dangerous and completely illegal.by SifJar - Getting Started
Oh dear, one of those guides. The problem with them is they install a whole host of nonsense only useful to pirates (and I guess legitimate backup users, but the number of pirates greatly outnumbers them sadly), without the person installing (you, in this case) really understanding what they're doing. It's so much better to learn what stuff actually does and decide for yourself whatby SifJar - Homebrew General
That sounds very strange. My advice would probably be to do an online system update on your Wii. If it's still not working, reinstall HBC again. Note that if you have any cIOS or other stuff for "backups", you may experience problems with some of that stuff. Any legit homebrew stuff should be fine.by SifJar - Homebrew General
That's fine, just don't install BootMii/boot2 (the installer won't let you do so anyway). Go ahead and install HBC.by SifJar - Getting Started
Yep, take a NAND dump and keep it in a safe place (probably somewhere on your computer rather than wasting space on your SD card). As for the dsi exception, don't worry about. That happens every now and again, it's nothing serious. If it always happens at the exact same time in the same app, you should contact the developer to report a bug.by SifJar - Getting Started
You can use a bunch of different loaders to do this. Popular ones include Gecko OS (also includes stuff like cheats and some more advanced configuration options like video modes), TinyLoad (has the benefit of being extremely small [<4KB if I recall correctly], and no GUI to boots the inserted game instantly instead of loading a GUI first) and Riivolution (which has some fairly advanced file reby SifJar - Getting Started
This is something that can't change, either you were always able to or never able to, unless you've encountered some bug in the HackMii Installer that no one else has.by SifJar - Getting Started
I'm afraid I have no idea what you have done, or how to fix it, and considering the potential for completely destroying your Wii, I am reluctant to make suggestions as to what to do. Priiloader is a fairly invasive modification, which puts itself in the place of the system menu. Messing around with it while not knowing what you're doing can lead to a brick. I have no experience with it,by SifJar - Getting Started
Hold reset while turning on the Wii to access the Priiloader menu. Go to "settings" then "system menu hacks" and then disable the ones related to updates (if in doubt, just disable them all). Then updates should again via disc or online. Online is the probably better, get's everything fully up to date; there are no discs with the full latest update.by SifJar - Getting Started
system downgrade and cIOScrap are particularly bad ideas. "talented and skilled" is of course relative, and while they may seem to know what they're doing, the truly talented and skilled members of the scene generally disagree; people like Team Twiizers would strongly advise against installing these sorts of things. cIOScrap is a particularly invasive system mod which replaces every IOS inby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
If HackMii Installer says you can't install BootMii as boot2, then you can't, and never will be able to, nor were you ever able to. This is essentially a hardware thing, and there's nothing you can do short of replacing the motherboard to be able to install BootMii/boot2. Sorry, you'll have to make do with BootMii as IOS I'm afraid.by SifJar - Getting Started
Can you not pass a pointer to it to the function? I'm not really sure, I'm just starting to learn C, but I think that would be how to do it. i.e. have as one of the function parameters something like GRRLIB_texImg *texture and then call the function with that parameter as "terrain_png" or whatever, and within the function call GRRLIB_SetTexture(texture); Again, as I said I don&by SifJar - Coding
Hold reset while turning on the Wii, a menu will probably appear. navigate into the settings menu, go to system menu hacks and disable the "block online updates" one (should be named something similar to that, if in doubt, disable ALL system menu hacks). After that the update should work. Although I don't know of any official software for listening to music. Unless you're talking aboby SifJar - Homebrew General
