QuotefilfatShort answare: Nope. Correct answer: yes. You can run homebrew such as those with Letterbomb (or bannerbomb on lower System Menu versions). There may be a minimal trace, but I'm not even sure there would be. I don't think it would cause anything that would be flagged were you to send it to Nintendo.by SifJar - Getting Started
It was never "allowed", it won't change a thing, I'm sure.by SifJar - Homebrew General
No idea what "video9" is that you mention, but anyway: Provided your Wii is currently running the latest version of the System Menu (v4.3), all you should need to do is install HBC (follow the guide here: ) and then run WiiMC from there (there are some pointers regarding that to be found here: ). If you want to have a seperate channel for WiiMC instead of loading HBC first each time, downloadby SifJar - Getting Started
Do whatever it tells you to do, it won't tell you to do something that isn't safe. However, I am fairly certain that the latest version of Riivolution works perfectly with the latest version of ISO37.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
You need to have an actual PSX BIOS file, not just a BIOS folder. The only legal way to get that (in most countries, anyway) is to dump it yourself from your own PSX console. (I'm not completely sure what the procedure is, perhaps a modchip of some sort to allow homebrew? Google should have answers).by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
QuoteSifJarAs a tip, if you are asking about where to get ROMs or something like that, it's against the rules and will get moved to the junkyard. If it's about pretty much anything else to do with emulators, it should be OK.I already answered this question.by SifJar - Getting Started
You don't post in the junkyard. You post elsewhere, and if your post is rubbish, we (i.e. the moderators/administrators) move it to the junkyard. It will not affect anything other than the System Menu itself. The only real change would be that newer games will not prompt you to update any more. Also, you would gain the SD menu for channels, which allows you to play VC and WW games from the SD card (sort of; in reality, it just copies them back to the Wii every time you play them and deletes them afterwards). Within homebrew apps, there wilby SifJar - Getting Started
Make sure discs aren't scratched or dirty, and they're being inserted the correct way round (I know it sounds obvious, but you gotta check everything). Other than that, not too many ideas I'm afraid. Assuming you have homebrew, you could always try loading the discs with Gecko OS or something, but this sounds more like a hardware issue than a software one I'm afraid.by SifJar - Getting Started

No Wii model has nothing to do with it. Some drives and cards are just incompatible, although the card that worked for installing should work in HBC, but that's probably not always the case. Sorry, but you must just have cards and drives that aren't compatible. :(by SifJar - Homebrew General
Without the "bootmii" folder on the root of your SD card, BootMii will not run. If you put those files back on your SD card, it'll run again at boot. Also don't mention any backup launchers here. (Technically you didn't do so as "nanogamma" does not exist, but I believe you meant to type the name of a backup launcher).by SifJar - Homebrew General
The method of installation would make no difference. Try using a USB drive if you have one about. Just put the files on the USB drive the same way as you would an SD card ("apps" folder on the root), then when in HBC, press 1 (I think it's 1, or it might be 2) and a menu should pop up and let you choose between USB and SD card. Choose USB and see if your apps show up now.by SifJar - Homebrew General

Quotemikael99Guys, Look up Wiibrand Launcher. It's Just Like Letterbomb. This is a great way of Homebrew implamentation. It's actually called Wilbrand, not Wiibrand, and it has no relevance to this reasonably old topic.by SifJar - Offtopic
Upgrade the System Software. That will stop the message and will make the games work again. It will do absolutely no harm to HBC or any other legitimate homebrew stuff. Don't mention neogamma here again please, that is a backup loader which is against the rules here.by SifJar - Getting Started
Yes they work perfectly well with the Homebrew Channel. But the Homebrew Channel cannot rip games. So it is irrelevant whether they work with HBC; what matters is if they work with whatever app you are going to use to rip the game. If you use CleanRip (the only ripping app supported by WiiBrew), it should work just fine.by SifJar - Homebrew General
Do you have another SD card you can try? Also, try converting the SD card to FAT32 instead of FAT (you will need to copy everything off it onto your computer, format it, then copy everything back), that could make a difference.by SifJar - Homebrew General
What's inside each of the folders within "apps"?by SifJar - Homebrew General
In theory, it should be possible with twintig from segher's wii.git (on Windows, it should theoretically be possible with FE100, but FE100 is Windows only, on Mac, it should be possible to compile twintig from the git and use it). I'd say the "easiest" way to do it would be to use tachtig first to decrypt and unpack an original save file from the Wii, then replace "savedata.bin" fromby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
These forums are not particularly active, and many of the more active members do not have knowledge of every single app. Be patient, and sooner or later there is a good chance someone will come along who does know the answer to your question. For example, I have never run SNES 9X, so I can offer absolutely no help.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
There's no real benefit to staying on 4.1, unless you happen to have a Korean Wii that has had it's region changed to US or EU. In that case, updating would brick it. But if you bought the Wii new, it should be completely fine to update. The latest HBC won't be wiped out. BootMii/boot2 if you have it might be, but it can easily be reinstalled after the update. BootMii/IOS willby SifJar - Homebrew General
It won't ever be updated, it has been depreciated. It is no longer needed. Most apps should now have DVD access simply by being run from the latest version of HBC. This includes WiiMC and MPlayer CE, the two main media players. Simply launch the relevant app from the latest HBC and it should be able to load the DVD.by SifJar - The Junkyard
Yeah, it's been that way for a while. It doesn't really matter though, the posts still work.by SifJar - Feedback & Support
The System Menu (4.3 is the system menu version, not the firmware version) has zero relevance when a game is being run, as it is not being run at that time. What is being run is IOS (think of IOS as being somewhat like the "drivers" on your computer; they let software communicate with the hardware). But as for Error 002, which probably isn't related to IOS either: assuming you are loadinby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
HyperHacker: There is absolutely no cause to accuse hooverxl of piracy. Don't do that again. hooverxl: Sounds like a bit of a problem with your SD card. Try connecting it to the computer, backing up all the files, formatting it and then restoring the files. If that still doesn't fix it, try running HackMii Installer again and going into the BootMii menu and choosing "Prepare SD caby SifJar - FixMii
You won't brick from running those apps, no. They make no modification to your NAND, and so can't brick. :)by SifJar - Getting Started
It's Remove Diagnostic Disc Check. The reason is that by default it's meant to autoboot diagnostic discs only. By removing that check, you autoboot any disc.by SifJar - Homebrew General
