DeSmuME Frame Skip? - 13 years ago
I recently tried out DeSmuME, and I was wondering, how do I enable frame skip? I can't find any menu in the program other than the ROM selector and I was also unable to find a configuration file on my SD card, yet that's always the first thing that is recommended when the game is running too slow. I have also experienced this issue. One time when I had the bootmii files on my SD card it actually booted BootMii in the middle of the test. I'm guessing it doesn't properly detect BootMii IOS and is trying to test it.by winmaster - Homebrew Applications

It sounds like you do not have BootMii boot2 installed. Unless you know how to use a NAND programmer, there is no way to fix your Wii.by winmaster - FixMii

What version of Windows are you running? If its XP, the built in tool is terribly slow. I recommend Auslogics Disk Defrag: If you are running Vista or higher, defragging happens automatically in the background. This is why we don't pirate or downgrade. If you have a friend with a Wii, use it to launch the HackMii Installer and prepare your SD card under the BootMii menu. This will place the necessary files on your SD card for BootMii to boot if you have it installed.by winmaster - FixMii

Didn't the Twiizer attack depend on MIOS? If so, then Nintendo hasn't even said if backward compatibility with GameCube games will be supported. I wold also like to know if every Wii IOS will be persent on the Wii U. However, probably what I'm most interested in knowing is whether or not Smash Stack has been fixed/prevented.by winmaster - Offtopic

You cannot install BootMii as boot2 because your Wii is new enough that boot1 will reject it. You currently cannot run BootMii as IOS because the majority of it is supposed to be on your SD card, which it is not. The solution is to let the HackMii installer place the necessary files on your SD card so that BootMii can run.by winmaster - BootMii Beta

I took at the look at the official classic theme for you and found that there are two background files. background.png (4:3) is 640x480. background_wide.png (16:9) is 852x480. Both of these are the standard resolutions for their respective aspect ratios.by winmaster - Testing Corner

I do not, nor do I know how to do it myself. Fixing your Wii at this point would be extremely difficult if you don't already know what you are doing. BTW, for reference, what version of Priiloader were you trying to install.by winmaster - FixMii

That string is used so that apps inherit the HW_AHBPROT flag that is set by the Homebrew Channel. I've often wondered why devs can't set this flag themselves to avoid issues. If Priiloader still supports installing with a trucha bugged IOS, then that should work without that string, provided you have a compatible IOS installed.
