dvdx is a hidden very small channel, which allows access to the disc drive. instead of using mplayer wii i would use mplayer CE, it's better. on CE go into "browse" not the dvd menu, and try to find it. if you have a modchip, try installing dvdx in patchmii modeby metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
download wii autoboot tool , wii scrubber, the template iso and key.bin for wii scrubber. (google is your friend!) put every thing in the right folders (read the readmes!) and use wiiscrubber to to put the ATD dol in the place of main.dol (look around in the iso). use the autoboot tool on it, burn it and hope that ATD loads with savemii. if it does then delete all the channels in the "system Chanby metroid_maniac - FixMii
dont have zelda TP, just drivechip. he doesn'tby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
i have a wii that is menu 3.2, and my friend has 3.4. If i get my friends console ID, and change mine in the homebrew channel to his. is it possible to copy it to my friends wii?by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
that sounds like a hardware problem, not softwareby metroid_maniac - FixMii
umm.. I dont think you can. no korean keyby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
preloader would, but u can't run any wii mode stuff, just GCby metroid_maniac - FixMii
bootmii will not work unless he uses the nand programmerby metroid_maniac - FixMii
I mean just before ios30, ios50, or system menu wadsby metroid_maniac - FixMii
you need the new dvdx, so go to hackmii for that. you also need the dvd player. i would reccomend this one. flash player is imrobable, unless wii linux for bootmii is made.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
yes, chain loader was the old name for twilight hack. as for gecko os, if you have homebrew channel installed its as simple as making a folder called gecko os in your apps folder and copying the contents of this zip there. for install ing the homebrew channel a good guide is hereby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
lol you put ios instead of is. yeah, baut waninkoko should put at least moderate brick protection. i mean there are a lot of n00bs out there. even a warning would be sufficientby metroid_maniac - FixMii
you have to install patchmii first, then run DVDx under patchmii mode. if you have 3.4, it doesn't have patchmii mode, as patchmii would fail to install. try normal install with it, but it might not workby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
My questions are: what do you need beside 3.2u or 3.2e does the image have to be a certain size? is it stretched otherwise? what is the ideal size (no stretching) is it legal if you keep it to yourself? thanks in advance, i'm installing this right after bootmii!by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
if you're talking about homebrew (wiiphysics, my little ball etc.) you need to setup wiiload, but the way it is it wont be very useful. this doesn't send it to SD, it atomatically loads itby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
dvdx can be uninstalled by simpily running the installer again, or deleting it with anytitledeleter edited due to spelling mistakeby metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
probably bluetooth thenby metroid_maniac - FixMii
if u need brick blocker, you are using a modchip. if you're not using a chip you're looking for gecko osby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
may I add, that if there isn't a file called boot.dol, but there is another .dol rename it to boot.dol. also if it ends in .elf rename it to boot.elfby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
the above method is illegal in the sense you are spreading illegal wadsby metroid_maniac - FixMii
moral of the story: never uninstall system menu or ios wads. no but seriously, unless you know someone somewhere who is good with electronics, you're not gonna get your wii back. even then you're gonna have to wait for bootmii and the nand programmer. if you want to go back to an old menu DON'T uninstall the wad, but DO find a wad of that region of menu and install itby metroid_maniac - FixMii
folow the savemii chart I believe it was either a bad copy of system menu or BT module was brokeby metroid_maniac - FixMii
yeah, i know but it is still quite hard to brick the wii while installing preloader if you have bootmii, right (well, you can brick but it is recoverable)by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
I know preloader is a dol that sits between the wii menu and boot2, but what I want to know is this: 1. can you set it to go direct to the wii menu, then go to preloader by pressing reset? 2. does region free work? 3. will it be pretty much impossible to brick with bootmii installed?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
install dvdx and use mplayer christmas edition for dvds, gecko os. for dvdx copy the folder into the apps folder, same for mplayer and for gecko os make a new folder in apps to put the files in.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
you do know that talk of backups is prohibited on these forums. oh, and dvdx is not installable on 3.4. neither is cios 249 unless you do something else illegal. if you want to play backups then get a modchip, because you wont find help here.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
yes, all your homebrew will be kept intact.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
what was the last thing you did? is it under wii, sd card or both? if it's under sd try to isolate folder in the sd (delete or move all other saves on sd, put it in computer and go in private folder, it should have a four letter code)by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
if you have downgraded to 3.2 from 3.4 you have done an illegal thing, not to mention the backup loader which isn't allowed on these forums. about your gamecube games, try running them through gecko os or backup loaderby metroid_maniac - The Junkyard
