Oh jeez, didn't even notice that. I meant to say before I reset the synced remotes by holding down the sync button on the Wii, I still couldn't use the remotes. It was weird, they would blink very quickly once, then nothing at all. That makes me think they were looking for a broken/disconnected bluetooth module, and then couldn't find it at all when trying to resync.by nintendodude - FixMii
QuoteSifJarYeah that could have damaged it. All right, my screwdriver should be here in the next couple days, I'll see what the damage is. QuoteSifJarAnd your first response to giantpune is completely irrelevant to what he posted. He suggested I turn off any priiloader hacks, which I tried, and it didn't work.by nintendodude - FixMii
Quotegiantpuneyou can't sync wiimotes while homebrew is running. you need to boot a game or the system menu or something for that to work. Right, but you can use remotes to navigate through Priiloader, and I couldn't even do that. I had to use a Gamecube controller. Quotegiantpunesounds like they might have turned on the "force blackscreen" or some similar priibricker hack. go aby nintendodude - FixMii
I've been trying to figure this out for about 3 hours, and got nowhere. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. My sister and her cousin were doing who knows what on the Wii earlier today, and when I tried to use it this evening, the System Menu wouldn't load, and the Wii Remotes would blink once, not connecting. I am able to access Priiloader and the Homebrew Channel, howeverby nintendodude - FixMii
After tampering with it for a few days and not getting it to work, I gave it a rest, came back today, and it worked. O.o At least it's working, I guess. Thanks guys.by nintendodude - Wii Linux
It's a belkin router, with the SSID of Bicking. It looks like this: auto wlan0 iface wlan0 inet dhcp wireless-essid Bickingby nintendodude - Wii Linux
After following a guide to install xwhiite (google xwhiite, first result) it's finally set up, but I can't get wireless to work. My router doesn't have WEP, WPA, or any kind of protection on it. I try to edit my /etc/network/interfaces file, but since it doesn't have any protection, I'm not sure exactly what to put. I've tried several guesses, but it won't conneby nintendodude - Wii Linux
Quotebrominehmm, so updating from the disk wont brick me? No, but if you're really paranoid about updating, you can launch the game with Gecko OS to bypass the update or use Priiloader hacks to block updates.by nintendodude - Getting Started
You can use DOP-Mii to update to 4.2, if you don't have Super Mario Galaxy 2.by nintendodude - FixMii
QuotewildgoosespeederWhat's taking Team Twiizers so long updating The Homebrew Channel? QuoteSifJar This may take slightly longer than previous releases, as TT are working harder to obfuscate their code (basically make it harder to reverse engineer) so Nintendo won't be able to work out the IOS exploits used easily, and therefore won't be able to fix them easily.by nintendodude - Homebrew General

Reinstalling didn't work, but uninstalling did. Thanks!by nintendodude - Getting Started
I do. It still just shows a black screen. :/by nintendodude - Getting Started
I've tried to get Genplus to work on my wii. I've downloaded it from the Homebrew Browser and from here, but either way, I get a black screen when I try to load it. I'm running 4.1U. Any suggestions?by nintendodude - Getting Started
This hasn't scared me wrong yet.by nintendodude - Getting Started
You can use Preloader to keep the update from showing up, or you can load it through Gecko OS bypassing the update.by nintendodude - Getting Started
QuoteArikadoIt was made by crediar, the author of preloader. Learn your author names :-P No no, I said that wrong. I mean someone besides them. I think it was on GBATemp or something, not here.by nintendodude - Getting Started
QuoteWikiFSXNo released version of Preloader or any derivative had that feature. Go ahead, try it. I'm not stupid enough to try it, but I believe there are people who are. The video could be fake, but I think it's somebody's modification. There was something about it on another website, but I can't remember where. *slap* If it's not, preloader still helps preveby nintendodude - Getting Started
QuoteSifJarno priiloader & bootmii IOS will NOT work as a substitute. With boot2 BootMii, you can delete System Menu and recover. With priiloader you cant, because that would also delete priiloader. Get your facts straight. I forgive you.by nintendodude - Getting Started
QuotedacotacoQuoteMarth21EDIT2: And yes, you do have to worry about bricking. Unless you have priiloader and bootmii IOS installed. what kind of shit edit was that i can brick your wii in no time if you have priiloader priiloadfer ISNT BOOTMII AS BOOT2 AND DONT FORGET THAT PRIILOADER DOESNT STOP STUPIDITY If you have the latest priiloader, you can load Bootmii IOS on a bricked wii and restoby nintendodude - Getting Started
I just change the name of the bootmii folder. If I need bootmii, I change the name of the folder back to bootmii. That's the easiest way I can think of.by nintendodude - BootMii Beta
I had the exact same problem. Can't install HBC, hash BAD, etc. (It probably wasn't the smartist thing to do, but...) I used AnyRegion Changer to downgrade to 3.2, and it's working fine now. I wouldn't really recommend it, as there's probably better ways, but it might be a good last resort. EDIT: Oh, wait, you already figured it outby nintendodude - Getting Started
I think it was that one, I can't remember.by nintendodude - Getting Started
Yeah, I did have cIOSCORP, but now it works fine using the IOS for 3.2.by nintendodude - Getting Started
I tried 60 (I'm on 3.2) but it didn't make a difference. I tried it with the patch thingy, but it wouldn't install it. Is there anything else I can do?by nintendodude - Getting Started
You might want to try reinstalling it, cause that never happened to me. Might be what System version you have. I have 3.2 and it works fine.by nintendodude - Getting Started
Okay, which IOS should I install (which one does hackmii use)?by nintendodude - Getting Started
No, it won't let me uninstall it. What's a vanilla IOS? By the way, it's cIOS installer v6 by WiiGator.by nintendodude - Getting Started
How can I do that?by nintendodude - Getting Started
Yes, do I need to get them out?by nintendodude - Getting Started
