EDIT 2: I forgot about normalization, therefore most of the stuff down here is worng (I shlashed through the wrong parts) You should be able to handle whole numbers from (2 to the power of bits-for-fraction) down to - (2 to the power of bits-for-fraction). For example: Doubles use 52 bits for the fraction. Fraction is like an u52, an unsigned integer, that can hold all values from 0 to 2^by daniel_c_w - Offtopic

Yes, but you never stepped off that path, if you use WiiSCU. You just didn't pick up all flowers along the track, only the good ones. (that was gayish for: WiiSCU actually does the same thing as Nintendo's update (same server, same files), but only partial)by daniel_c_w - Getting Started
floats and doubles are always signed. (the same should go long doubles) floats: doubles: long doubles: The first bit indicates the sign. The type can not be unsigned. (in Visual C++ "unsigned double" leads to: warning C4076: 'unsigned' : can not be used with type 'double')by daniel_c_w - Offtopic

QuoteSteelSLasheryou might need to build an os first since its java dependent, and what would you want to virtualise on the wii... The Java Virtual Machine is the piece of software, that interprets Java Bytecode. It comes along with runable versions of Java default class library. From the perspective of an JAVA application, the JVM is the OS.by daniel_c_w - Coding
In the meantime I did some reading. In the x86 world, a long double seams to be the same as a double. Maybe SSE or other extensions support a floating point type more precise than double. PowerPC proccessors nativley support a 128 bit float. That would be a long double. I do not know the bit pattern for it. I don't know how WiiBrickblocker works, so I leave it out. BootMii can coexist with almost everything, because so far it is the only software, that resides in boot2's area, except the original boot2 of course. StartPatch, Starfall modify the system menu, this only works, as long as the system menu is in place. Preloader moves the systrem menu away and places itself in the old pby daniel_c_w - Homebrew General

You can do the update. So far there a no reports of an update breaking the HBC. Keep the HBC on the Wii, though. Do not move it to an SD-card. It is recommend to use WiiSCU to update the sytem menu, the Shop Channel and IOS 60 and 61.by daniel_c_w - Getting Started
QuoteSifJarQuoteflyguySeriously!!! Dop-ios installed IOS 0?!?! huh... Didn't know Well, it uses PatchMii and daniel_c_w said something about PatchMii and this "IOS 0", so I guess so. By patchmii, i referred to IOS 255, because xyxxy, which uses patchmii, creates an IOS in the highest free IOS slot. So it starts at 255. The only way I see for IOS 0, or actually title id 00000001-0000by daniel_c_w - Getting Started
Quote* Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. This can potentially increase the download speed.. QuoteHyperHackerI noticed the system can reboot from GC mode back to Wii mode somehow as well. Pop out Mario Kart's disc at the title screen and hit reset, IIRC. Kicks you back to the System Menu. QuotescanffQuake is not 3D just 2D using a technique called raycasting which makes it look 3D. Afaik all Quakes use polygons and textures. That is 3D in my book. Quotejsmasterthe requirements for Quake 3 are: Keep in mind, that those numbers we're for PCs, that had an OS in the background, and that many foundations for the hardware techniques changed since then.by daniel_c_w - Ideas, requests

Quotehenke37Pointers (and everything else) is defined to not have a defined initial value unless you provide one. Actually global variables are guaranteed to be initialized with zeros (bitwise). The same should be the case for local static variables. I am not quite sure what that does mean for pointers. Are they filled with zero bits, or are they guaranteed to be Nullpointers?by daniel_c_w - Coding
