You know for sure eh? Have you tried using a different wiimote in HBC? Just whack the damn thing already.by tueidj - FixMii
Don't uninstall or otherwise mess around with any software. It's a wiimote problem. Google for the problem and you'll see the same answer posted all over the internet.by tueidj - FixMii
Give the wiimote a firm whack with your hand.by tueidj - FixMii
QuoteptsnowmanI've tried multiple times, as I mentioned, with multiple SD cards, all freshly formatted with SD formatter 2.0 and have not passed this point. QuotemauifrogSo whats the problem? I would try the formater. The problem is your suggestion has a) already been tried and b) is a waste of time.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Again: That's not the problem, the ELF file has already been identified and loaded into memory.by tueidj - Homebrew General
All your other threads will (or at least should) be paused while IOS is being reloaded. LibOGC already takes care of this for you (in theory). Since loading a new IOS trashes a large portion of MEM2 it has the potential to destroy either of the things you mentioned, depending on where they are located. Also depending on how much memory your program has allocated from the heap, it could trash a lby tueidj - Coding
That was actually meant as a joke, since sony seem willing to sue nearly anyone for hacking the PS3.by tueidj - Offtopic
Better read the terms of use carefully or you might end up getting sued if you use it for homebrew.by tueidj - Offtopic
If it's getting up to the "opening boot.elf/Valid ELF image detected" stage then the problem has nothing to do with using an SDHC card. Just keep trying and it will probably work eventually.by tueidj - Homebrew General
No, it is in fact to do with their positions - the further away you are the closer the points of light appear to be to the wiimote sensor until eventually they merge into one. It has to be able to find at least two distinct points of light.by tueidj - Hardware
To be honest using the wiimote as a mouse kinda sucks when it comes to fine pointer control (it has a habit of jerking when pressing buttons), I'd advise modifying SDL-wii to support using the nunchuk stick to control the mouse pointer.by tueidj - Ideas, requests
It uses them for Z-distance as well, have you played pool in Wii Play?by tueidj - Hardware
The wii has 32 64-bit floating point registers that can munch doubles without breaking a sweat.by tueidj - Coding
Galaxii was just a joke/trolling attempt.by tueidj - Software
Lua should be using doubles rather than floats though, and they have enough mantissa bits to handle 32-bit ints. Check what LUA_NUMBER is defined to in luaconf.h.by tueidj - Coding
Why not just use the original bar powered by something other than the wii?by tueidj - Hardware
The input system is what's stopping me from releasing it; atm there is only code to handle wiimote+nunchuk, with some buttons remappable and others hardcoded to perform F2, ESC, Return etc. I had planned to get a classic controller for xmas so I could add support for it but that ended up not happening. Currently the cheats can't be entered but I was going to put them all in a "cheat menby tueidj - Ideas, requests
I've already ported the original descent. It will be out soon-ish.by tueidj - Ideas, requests
The NTFS library is GPL so it can't be used in closed source programs like HBC.by tueidj - Homebrew Applications
The fact that it's not being sold anywhere doesn't give you the right to distribute it freely. Unless the owner has given explicit permission you are violating copyright laws.by tueidj - Homebrew Applications
CleanRip would probably be your best bet, with the small disadvantage that it's designed as a ripper so it will expect some space to be available on an SD or USB device to dump a disc image into (which you can just wipe later). It's fairly quick, normally less than 30 mins for a full wii game, less than 10 for a GC game.by tueidj - Homebrew General
I believe I've fixed the memory issues, both sound and music work now. I just didn't bother posting an updated build since nobody had tried the older one.by tueidj - Testing Corner
I assumed he meant overlaying text on graphics rather than a text console.by tueidj - Coding
Nothing simple. There are probably a few graphics libraries that can make it easier but I've only ever done it manually (loading a font into a texture, load the texture into the graphics hardware, render the appropriate portion of the texture for each letter at the target location as a quad or triangle fan primitive...)by tueidj - Coding
The best you can hope to get is around 700 kilobytes/sec. The way that the wifi card interfaces with the rest of the system is a big bottleneck (the way IOS is written doesn't help much either).by tueidj - Coding
Dolphin hooks the printf() function and redirects the output to its log window. If you want it to show console output in the regular display window go to the graphics config->advanced tab, tick the XFB "Enable" box and set it to "Real". Note that this will slow down the emulation considerably at the cost of making it act more like a real console.by tueidj - Coding
Booting a NAND title when you're not identified as that title isn't going to end well.by tueidj - Coding
Other M is a dual layer disc (like SSBB) so the laser has to work harder to read it... no surprise that it's your first game to start showing errors.by tueidj - FixMii
This smells like waninkoko's firmware/failware.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Or more likely your app has inherited HBC's ident (since IOS wasn't reloaded), IOS knows better than to let you identify as something else if it's already been done once.by tueidj - Coding
