N64 emulators by Nintendo are slightly customised per game, so even that will not be "perfect". Regarding WiiSpeak "loader". AFAIK, you can't have two channels running at once. However, this topic has been covered andby whodares - The Junkyard
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction I assume there's safe guards from just creating the files on the NAND without going through the "registration" process?by whodares - Software
Okay, taking a break from the banner creator for a while. Thought I'd try and resurrect my motivation by looking back at the other side(s). One thing am I wondering about is, is the need for fakesigning content related to the System Menu? or do other parts of the system need it?by whodares - Software
Yep. The WAD is just a file container. I can't remember who clarified the information for me, but it came up because I asked when looking at creating the channel creator/installer. The package and installer would be of my own devising. Was thinking of compression and some form of CRC checksum to validate a package before the installation was attempted. This isn't really the placeby whodares - Homebrew General

Don't suppose you need a new mod to help on this board? I'd be willing to assist, and I pop on here most days :-)by whodares - Feedback & Support
Is it all discs this happens with? I'm assuming so by the sounds of it, but I thought I'd askby whodares - Hardware
Could be the laser. If it's unmodded, I'd recommend getting in touch with Nintendo, especially if it was a common problem.by whodares - Hardware
Feel free to write one instead of complainingby whodares - Offtopic
Urh, don't know. I don't get that problem. Might be worth posting on the GeckoOS forums to see if anybody else has seen it.by whodares - Homebrew Applications
GeckoOS allows you to reboot into the system menu with hooks, and will load "codes" off SD cards.by whodares - Software
@Painguy: The purpose of an emulator is to mimic the processor instruction set and system architecture of another platform. However, as the Wii is just an upgraded Gamecube, it already has the same instruction set and architecture, so it requires absolutely minimal interaction from the system. (Hence why you can plug in GC discs in the System Menu)by whodares - Software
Press B on your Wiimote. You need version 1.07b (Even says "Press B to Launch Rebooter" on the menu screen)by whodares - Homebrew Applications

Really? I thought you needed the xml too? I might be wrong. I never tried without the xml and imageby whodares - Homebrew General
You need the XML description file in the app folders too.by whodares - Homebrew General
If you have a modchip, you could burn a copy of the Homebrew Channel Install ISOby whodares - Homebrew General
Quotestrongfanit would boot the Internet Channel with a hook-and-code that would tell the internet channel to load the .swf off of the SD card. This also answers Marathon_003's question. Yes there is a standalone player, forcing the Internet Channel is unnecessary, and limits you to people who have that channel.. QuoteTheManuelI have a 700MHz PIII based Celeron on my MAME machine (soon to be upgraded) and it can't run even Mario Kart GP at full speed. This will not be as clear cut as you might imagine. How many other programs you have running (and what they are) will drastically affect performance of the machine in general. Then more specific to the emulator will be what rendering method you areby whodares - Homebrew Applications
lol, I mentioned this a while ago :-) From my understanding MIOS does two things, 1. preps the console for running Gamecube stuff, and 2. locks down Wii specific stuff. I reckon it'd be possible to patch it to prevent locking out the Wiimotes (maybe even find a way of making the WiFi look like a GC LAN adapter?). Not saying it would be easy thoby whodares - Software
Quote.Waqz. Ahh No, Im not asking for instructions, Im simply asking if its possible to play backups through homebrew? Simple Yes or No Reply. Okay, let's nip this in the bud... No, you can'tby whodares - Homebrew General
Maybe I can, maybe I can't. Can't say for definate, because I've never tried. But let me try and explain this to you so you understand our (my) reluctance to help... You may own the game you want to play, however, if we tell you how to play a copy of that game, then somebody else who decides to download a copy of a game without owning the original can then use the same instruby whodares - Homebrew General
1. In the System Menu, click the Wii icon in the bottom left, then choose Wii Settings. In the top right corner should be "Ver. 3.2E", or something similar 2. Or a mod chip and the homebrew channel installer ISO 3. Don't ask about "backups" regardless of whether you mean legal or illegal. Nobody will answer because it would be open to abuse by people who *do* pirate.by whodares - Homebrew General
I doubt it, not using the same machine anyway, as that would require two seperate emulations going on at once. Emulation is an intensive process, and I'd be (pleasantly) suprised if the Wii could handle it. Must admit, would be interesting to see thoughby whodares - Homebrew Applications

Within every computer system there are things called IRQ's (Interrupt Requests), these are usually tied to hardware devices and flag up when the hardware requests some information. These IRQ flags break the normal process flow of the CPU (ie, running the game), to tend to these requests. You can overwrite the normal handler for these requests with your own code. In order not to break anytby whodares - Software

Quotedaniel_c_wYou lost code? Did you accidently format your SD-Card? :D lol. Actually, it was kinda similar. I have a copy on my local computer, and I also have a copy on a USB stick that I take to work (I always arrive early, so I sometimes do some coding before I start, or in my lunch hour). The only trouble is, I often forget which one is the "latest" version if I don't copy it back thatby whodares - Homebrew General
