Yes of course, but what I'm talking about is the NAME of the wiki Ok, scenario one My wiki name is "Wiibrew" the about page is always called ":About" so it is in this case [] is the syntax used in the code of the page link works fine Scenario 2 the wiki is named "Wii brew" so the link to an about page is always [] What I'm wondering is if a space like in scenario two wouldby LinkSlayer64 - Offtopic
thanks, but, actually I mean the name of the wiki itself, not just a page name, I know there is a "wiibrew:About" page, so I was wondering if having a space in the name, such as: "Wii brew:about" would mess it up I may not bother trying it, but I'm still quite curious.by LinkSlayer64 - Offtopic
Hey guys, I just wanted to ask, does anyone know if its ok to put a space in a wiki name? or if there is some limit on it? I'm just curious, since we have a wiki, if anyone who got it started knows. Thanks!by LinkSlayer64 - Offtopic
Well I believe (in the USA, I apologize) that an EULA such as that is simply unconstitutional, because with that type of clause, Nintendo is simply saying it could seize your Wii at any time. It's bull I have no problem with a strong position against piracy, but stuff like this, is just stupid... Heres what I say "I bought my console, I should be able to do what I want with it, I load homby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJarQuoteLuigi886Actually, I think the reason they're giving them to people is for those who cannot access The Shop Channel? :| i.e. people who haven't updated their wii i.e. people who either don't have wifi (so have no use of the channels) or have homebrew (and ninty don't want to encourage them NOT to update) How is that any better? is it because they want to conby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
Some quick advice: Try going to emulatemii and seeing if they have a forum for their Emulators (They are the makers) if you get anything you can use to submit a bug report, do so You can try it out on the pcsx emulator on your pc (if it is powerful enough) to see if the problem is with your disc images Also, how did you try to rip the PS1 discs? I could definitely help you with that.by LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew Applications
QuoteSaintI wish with WiiSX you could use legit bought Ps1 games because I have those and there's no support :( you CAN however make an image of the game, put it on your SD, and run it that way, but please, USE GOOGLE TO FIND OUT HOW TO DO THIS. there are already many many guides as to how.by LinkSlayer64 - Getting Started
QuotewinmasterSo it is possible to write an emulator using 100% original code? Well, to the most part, the code is original, the programmers only deduce how the consoles work, then write the code that emulates the functions of the consoles and I only needed to clean and rebend the pins, and snip that pin. ( snapped pin on one of the NES's, I got two, other was fine)by LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
QuoteHelpMiihmm okay i think i get it.. what burning program do you suggest? currently i'm using imageburn but if you have any other suggestions.. You don't want to use imgburn, that will burn the whole game to the DVD, you want to burn files to the disc, like you would some music, or photos, and burn the disc in Joliet format also, its a bit of a waste of a DVD, wouldn't it justby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
QuotewinmasterI just looked up where I read that and I think I'm probably wrong. I thought a certain amount of code from the original console was required to run the game. Didn't early Nintendo games check the system's integrity? Or was it only the console checking the game? No, it was the console, and as for the code, that code required is called the bios. I think moreover developby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
QuotewinmasterUSB loaders are perfectly legal, as long as you own the game you are loading. Emulators are also only legal if you own the game AND the system you are emulating. Obviously users of USB loaders own a Wii. I do believe you are INCORRECT about the whole "system" part. Perhaps it comes down to that in the case of BIOS (since the bios are IN the system) but not otherwise. And the otheby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General

First off, caps locks is cruise control for cool man, but you still gotta steer with cruise control, (i.e. cut it out with the damn caps) Second, the problem is exactly as you said - it is an "Over-generalization." Unfortunately, WADs are too closely associated with piracy when it comes to the Wii, since most n00bs who discuss WADs mean a free Virtual Console game or something. While I decided that one thing people want most from the Hombrew channel is sorting, I know the apps out there and they don't really work well due to the fact they conflict with the hombrew browser (no offense intended, you guys did some hard work, but well, it just doesn't work that well) I decided to investigate into using the "release_date" sort field, but when I attempted to setby LinkSlayer64 - Homebrew General
I don't mean to trod on jbc007's explanation, it seems very accurate, but does anyone have some sort of verification? Did this work for you BeatBionic? ok, weirdness, but the SD I backed up onto (successful NAND backup) has no NAND file, it is missing enough space to constitute it being there, but unhiding hidden files and folders and system files still doesn't make it show up! what happened to it? anyone else have this problem?by LinkSlayer64 - Getting Started
It worked, nice and easy, thanks for the help, now anyone else know, after booting bootmii with the SD card in, to backup, should I put in another, so my homebrew doesn't get overwritten during the reformat? from what I understand this is what it does, but if I'm wrong please correct meby LinkSlayer64 - Getting Started
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72 I'm not sure, but i think you can't install it as boot2 unless you bought your wii in mid-'08, or something along those lines. :P I got mine early when it came out, I already know I can as boot2, I just need to know where to put the files on the SD, in root, or apps?by LinkSlayer64 - Getting Started
My question is plainly, do I need BootMii? I use the Homebrew channel. and use some emulators, some apps, and DVDx, and my question is, should I install BootMii as boot2? I have not done any EXTREME system mods, but also brought to my attention was that I can't get my Wii repaired or whatever if it has traces of DVDx or the Homebrew Channel, should I install it for that reason, to uninstallby LinkSlayer64 - Getting Started
