According to reports they don't affect the transfer at all.by tueidj - Homebrew General
That's not supported by these forums.by tueidj - The Junkyard
They will look like they haven't been purchased but if you try to buy them again it won't deduct any points. Or sometimes they just go back to the purchased state on their own if you download something else. The only way to completely disown a purchased title is if you delete your shop account and in that situation you lose everything.by tueidj - Homebrew General
You can't erase "download rights" for one particular title, they are stored server-side.by tueidj - Homebrew General

If it's backing up there's no risk to the wii by powering it off, the backup file just won't be complete. Restoring a backup is a different story.by tueidj - BootMii Beta
I strongly suspect that the only data transferred via the SD card will be your miis, savefiles and some system ID data, any WiiWare/VC content will most likely be re-downloaded separately by the Wii-U.by tueidj - Homebrew General
The article is incorrect, that prohibition is not new. The new "rules" are only exemptions, not additional restrictions. Nothing has changed for consoles. If you want to argue about it go read what the actual changes were.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Sure there is. Duct tape a wiimote to the top/side of the zapper :Pby tueidj - Homebrew Applications
There have been no new rules introduced regarding consoles - the legal standing of the Homebrew Channel is exactly the same as what it was before. This ruling only makes it legal to jailbreak smartphones, it doesn't add any new restrictions to other activities.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Snes9x-gx uses old style "non-interlaced" video modes, the same as what the original SNES hardware used. Some flat screen TVs (and other recent models) can't display those modes when component cables are used. The same issue affects virtual console games but Nintendo were smart enough to add a key combination to disable it and use the regular video mode.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Gee I wonder how you ended up with a version of IOS37 that is higher than the official one without having a brand new wii...by tueidj - Homebrew Applications

Get any game that came out in the past two years and use the disc to update.by tueidj - Getting Started
Use the latest version of snes9xgx. If you already are using the latest version and you've properly synced both remotes using the red button while at the system menu, your second wiimote (the one that won't sync in homebrew) must not be genuine.by tueidj - Homebrew Applications
The Homebrew Browser has its own bug tracker.by tueidj - Homebrew Applications
If you were going to do that, may as well just use the system format option in the wii menu settings.by tueidj - FixMii
It's caused by either the wrong IOS being used to run the game or the IOS is out of date. Run the update and play it from the system menu.by tueidj - Homebrew General

If both devices are inserted it won't switch between them unless you manually tell it to (using the menu shown when you press 1).by tueidj - Homebrew General
That's not how it works.by tueidj - Homebrew General
Just because your wii is white with gamecube ports, doesn't mean it's old enough to install bootmii as boot2. It would have to have been made before mid 2008, if the installer says it can't do it then it is too new.by tueidj - Getting Started
You can just downloaded any purchased content from the shop again (providing it loads properly), formatting doesn't remove your purchase records.by tueidj - Getting Started
That won't work if either the system menu IOS or the system menu itself is missing.by tueidj - FixMii
Sure it's possible, but why would you want to?by tueidj - Homebrew General
You could try opening it up and having a look. There should be a little metal arm along the side of the SD card slot with a bend in it that rests on the lock tab when the card isn't locked, and pushes into the empty space when the card is locked. The other end of the arm works as an electrical switch, telling the controller if the card is locked or not. Sometimes the arm gets bent or brokenby tueidj - Getting Started
Is the system menu able to copy savefiles to any of the SD cards? Sounds like the slot might be damaged, making the wii think the SD cards are always locked.by tueidj - Getting Started
It's actually better to use a primary partition rather than a logical one, the ability to mount logical partitions didn't always exist in libfat (which is the filesystem library most homebrew apps use) which means a lot of older apps won't be able to see a logical partition. I don't know why a primary partition didn't work for you in the first place, possibly it wasn'by tueidj - Homebrew Applications
Use your friend's MAC address, not your own. Make sure the date is set correctly on the wii.by tueidj - Homebrew General
