Sounds like a flash problem to me, also. Sadly, I don't know enough to help you here.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
QuoteDrLuckywhen you reset your wii, it will of course delete he channels you have..you need to reinstall the HBC I'm sorry, but this is horribly wrong unless you mean formatting system memory. Which I think you do. Original poster: I can't help you with your problem. It's very strange.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
NAND flash memory is not actually based on NAND logic gates, but NAND flash cells act like NAND gates. There is also NOR flash, by the way.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
@dontstopkappin: Homebrew software, backups, or originals?by WikiFSX - The Junkyard
Quoteaujakev@Arikado the whole dam thing and any thing is posable!!!!! I could create a PS2 emulator for the Atari 2600. Is it possible? Yes! (The 2600 is a Turing machine.) Is it feasible? Will it ever be worth a fiftieth of a darn? No!by WikiFSX - Offtopic
Big question here: does it erase the internal usage logs? If yes, then it does completely remove all traces of homebrew. If no, it does not. EDIT: It also might leave "empty titles" behind for some reason, so that could be a problem.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
If you had looked around, you would have known that BootMii doesn't support the Wii Remote yet. You also would have known that the only BootMii applications are mini and ceiling cat (the menu) at this point.by WikiFSX - The Junkyard
To me, it sounds like he is still trying to use the HBC 1.0.1 installer. Send him the HackMii Installer, and tell him to rename the contained .elf to boot.elf.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Try uninstalling the modchip.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
I think he means to ask if he still can install BootMii to boot2. He can't, as you know.by WikiFSX - BootMii Beta
So, yes. Pretty much, you guys are going to have to do a stack smash, and here's how it would work: 1) Mess around with the Smash image until Brawl crashes. Messing around with the source image won't work. 2) Figure out why it crashed and what it did. If you managed to a) get it to execute the stack or b) pull off a stack smash, you can do stuff. 3) Write an assembly program thaby WikiFSX - Ideas, requests

QuoteRizariaQuotejarvoltI'd also like to know if the latest Gecko OS will reboot with hooks for 4.0. That's what's holding me back. Yeah, same here really. It won't.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
Quoteekeekeyou should read this: Anatomy of an Optical Medium Authentication (Part 1) if the purpose of your thread is to prove this can easily be beaten by software, you probably will be very disappointed. That's about the GameCube's disc format, which does use the BCA. The Wii uses a bog-standard DVD, with a bunch of on-Wii stuff for encrypting and decrypting. The signature iby WikiFSX - Software
Not quite. The bug used by all custom NAND software is the Trucha bug, which allows people to fake signatures. This has been blocked by Nintendo, so software that required Trucha signing while operating (WAD Installer, HBC installer) will no longer work. For some reason, installed Trucha signed software still works. In any case, the bug was fixed completely as of 3.4, but Team Twiizers found aby WikiFSX - Getting Started
Is there a way to fix this in BootMii without having to use a SD binary? If there is, here's an idea. If anything tries to start BC, your code traps it, sets the register, and goes to normal boot2 from there. Essentially, skip BC.by WikiFSX - Software
