There is a homebrew AR Loader which loads AR off your SD card. I dunno if it'd be supported here, because it illegally gives you the action replay .dol

no reason to expect otherwise. If your wii was able to install bootmii as boot2 in the first place, they can't EVER prevent you from installing it as boot2

You're WAYYYYY out of date The Homebrew Channel is up to version 1.0.6 Download the Hackmii installer from bootmii.org and install the latest version, as well as Bootmii and the new DVDx, I would also recommend updating to 4.2 (just to be up to date and to have the SD card menu)

You need to use Bannerbomb to reinstall the Homebrew Channel (from now on, try to keep on top of updating that), and the files shouldn't have been deleted from your SD card, check again

Well... If you could send me a .dol for that modded WiiXplorer I'd be amazingly grateful. I'm working on a Riivolution XML for Mario Kart Wii, and I need certain files from my disc, and rather than rip the whole thing, just a few files would be easier

My suggestion, is that the two of you keep the projects separate, but keep in contact about it. If Arikado hits a brick wall that you didn't, he can ask you, and vice versa. Then, somewhere down the line, maybe merge the two projects. You don't have to pay for anything Just use the "Homebrew Setup" tutorial on wiibrew.org install the homebrew channel, and DVDx (DVDx MIGHT not work if your Wii was built too recently, as recently built Wiis have a new PCB board on the DVD drive that doesn't read anything but Wii Optical Discs) and then use the app called WiiMC to play your movies

Not really, since the protocol used to send DS demos over Wifi to the DS hasn't been reverse engineered, iirc.

The main problem is that you used the 4.0 updater. My suggestion, since you have bootmii as boot2, start the homebrew channel, start DOP-Mii, and update every IOS, and the system menu to their latest versions, and don't apply any patches, you can leave boot2 though. I update through Nintendo just fine, but I don't have 30000x mods. I only use the bare minimum for what I need, I take a minimalist approach to...well... anything with computers, really (yet I despise cloud computing)

it could still be dangerous. The banner could be bad. HOWEVER, you may be looking at a program which is not supported here, which I have personally used for legitimate purposes, and it should be fine to install. That being said, you'll also be fine if you have Priiloader or Bootmii, in which case you can get to the homebrew channel and uninstall the bad WAD
