Okay adding #include wiisprite.h before hbmenuhead.h gave me more errors: ^[: *** Error 1 make: *** Error 2 So I downloaded the Zlib for PPC (it's not ARM right?) and extracted the contents to the libogc folder, which eliminated the first two errors, but I still have everything afterwards. Hey, right now I'm trying to get Jewels to work with the libwiisprite version of Homebrew menu std library I've already got the libwiisprite.a and header files in the right places (thanks Arikado!) and I can compile the source code without any changes, so I know I've got everything in the right places. If you don't want to install a forwarder and actually want to install a full blown channel on the Wii, it can be done, but would require the use of a WAD, which is not supported here (too easy to brick with them, see: "Banner Brick"). I would think a forwarder would be your best bet. Edit: WiiSX on Wiibrew Can't help you with finding a channel forwarder though...by Kage52124 - Homebrew Applications

Your confusion is well set; as far as I know, WiiConnect24 is still rather nebulous. However, the chances of Ninty forcing an upgrade without any user input is legally questionable, even if you've agreed to their Terms and Conditions (EULA's, like prenuptial agreements, can have no legal baring even if agreed to on both sides), they would have a hard time getting away with it. All you have to do is use DOP-Mii Wiibrew Edition to add IOS 56 to your Wii, and then download the current Shop Channel (v20). Version 14.1 of DOP-Mii will not download the latest version, but this is unnecessary for getting the Shop Channel working right. This is helpful if you're doing channel loading in Gecko OS as it won't require you to update all IOS.by Kage52124 - Homebrew General

I ran Startpatch4.1 and removed the update disk check from the System Menu. Ran Mario Kart Wii which has an updated MIOS and it did NOT ask me to update, but it did before Startpatch. On another note, could StartPatch be added to the wiki? Seems like a replacement for Starfall and some other parts of Preloader...or is it a 'fail' app? Ocarina of Time is an N64 game, and the emulator out for it, Wii64 located here: is probably not too fast yet. Either sit tight and wait for some speedups or hunt down The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition for the Gamecube and use that to play Ocarina of Time. eBay is a good place to start.by Kage52124 - Getting Started

make a folder called apps in the root of your SD card and then put the Homebrew Browser inside it, it'll look something like this: sd://apps/homebrew_browser/boot.dol (boot.elf) if your file system is set up like that, you can use the Homebrew Browser to download other applications, and it will also put the folders in the appropriate places. Lots of homebrew apps work on SDHC cards regardless of whether or not the System Menu can. You could use an SDHC for a majority of your homebrew, and a standard SD for everything else.by Kage52124 - Getting Started

The consensus around here is if you are on 3.2 and want to use homebrew, it would be best to stay at 3.2. You can get around required updates with several apps out there, like GeckoOS for example.by Kage52124 - Getting Started

AnyRegion Changer and Anytitle deleter don't work right at all, but that's probably the case for you right now too. Channel loading in GeckoOS is gone, but once again you might not be able to do that either. If you're past the October 23rd update, then I think the consensus is "may as well update."
