It basically means you're on system menu 4.3, and bannerbomb no longer works for that version of the sys menu. You'll have to use a different exploit for your homebrew endeavours. There are currently 3 other exploits you can use: Smash Stack (requires US version of SSBB), Indianapwns (requires any region Lego Indiana Jones game), Yu-Gi-Owned! This wasn't supposed to be a request thread originally, but... oh well... You can create forwarders with CustomizeMii using other preexisting channels as base. I personally don't know how to use it, because I sincerely feel to lazy to learn how to (and I have no real need to create any forwarder, since the ones I need already exist). Not essentially a problem related to having my Wii bricked (God forbid), but still related to the topic. Ummm... please don't go necroposting (reviving old threads without adding anything relevant). The "official" SNES9x forwarder will be released when it's released. Not a moment before or too late. Tantric has already stated he isn't the one in charge of it, rather a couple of his minions. Have you used HBC 1.0.6 before? If so, did your HDD work then? Not all USB devices are compatible with the Wii. And it seems that with the latest version of HBC and IOS58, some devices seemed to have lost compatibility somehow.by Magil - Homebrew General

Hmmm... so, just a small recap. - Nintendo CANNOT (legally) auto-update. It requires for the user to accept to download and install the update when prompted. - Nintendo CANNOT (techincally) auto-update. The way the sys menu is currently coded cannot support for automatic updates (for some reason... ??? ), yet if enabled in WC24 (even more ??????) it CAN auto-update, unless it were somehow cby Magil - Homebrew General

First, and this should be stressed alot more: PimpMyWii is one of the worst apps out there. I sincerely don't know who told you to use it, and what he promised it would do. It does serve a purpose, but it's not an app that should be used by the inexperienced (even I don't know how to use it, and given that I've had no problems thus far that required it, I don't care aboutby Magil - FixMii

Thanks for the rather informative answers I've gotten so far. I never did intend on having WC24 on at all. As winmaster stated and many other people across the net as well, it'll only damage the GPU in the long term. I was just about to start a topic on this agenda. Somebody beat me to it, heh, but it's all good... anyways... IOS58 is indeed slower than IOS202. Now, I can't crunch you any numbers and give you all the usual details a more experienced programmer/hacker, but all I that I say comes from personal experience. I'd rather not go around updating, when everywhere I go to strongly advises against it. And I've read oh so many sad tales of many folk crying about how an update killed their Wii. Since there isn't anything worth obtaining in this update (other than IOS58, but I already got it through Tantric's installer... and IOS58 sucks compared to IOS202 anyways), I wouldn't want toby Magil - Homebrew General

I would also note that it's better having it as an IOS that not having it at all. The chances of recovering from a brick are alot worse when you just have Priiloader (though I think that there still might be a chance of installing bootmii while only having Priiloader available. Don't remove them then. You'll keep encountering these problems all the time. The thing is that (if I'm not mistaken) you still have the exploit in there, which causes the Wii to crash and thus, attempt to load your .dol file. I can't remember exactly what the name of the file and the directory the exploit is supposed to be in (only hacked one Wii, my Wii, and it was a long tiby Magil - Getting Started

Reading the manual got me nowhere... googling it would lead me towards non-related topics... to be brief, I don't understand the Wii's behaviour when it's connected to the internet. I mean... if the Wii is connected to the internet, while WiiConnect24 is disabled, does it remain connected while in Standby mode (orange light in Power button)? So... returning back to the topic at hand... is it even worth deleting both the News and Forecast channels? I want to get rid of them because I don't use them, look just so damn fugly on the sys menu, and because I want to use the blocks they use up. If this is the case, you could send it to Nintendo, as they will not be able to detect that you have homebrew. It is possible that they will fix it for free, especially if you sound like you have no idea what happened when you talk to them.
