I don't think I've said it before, but... you just gotta love my epic thread titles =P. Anyways... I just went ahead and installed a forwarder made by Leathl for the SNES9x emulator. Wasn't too hard to get setup... and when I finally saw it in the system menu, it wasn't all that great. But alas, who was I to complain if I couldn't make channels myself. And I would finaby Magil - Homebrew General
It's not that bad. It does serve a good purpose, and it works for most of the time. It's just a bit misleading at times when you want to download an app fast, and the search engine gives out no results. But other than that, it's quite functional. It's only a matter of fixing these little details, that's all.by Magil - Offtopic
If your video were broken, you wouldn't get a black screen. The Wii wouldn't output any video at all (assuming you had to tune to a special " video channel" in your TV with a blue background, if your Wii's video was broken, you would keep seeing the blue screen even if your Wii was on). On the other hand, why do you want to wipe out your NAND? I'm assuming right now yours iby Magil - FixMii
Quotedidmac0Yes I'm pretty sure you did. If you had bootmii as an IOS and a NAND backup, why did you not think to install priiloader/preloader? Ah well, we all make mistakes. Through my knowledge, you are correct, if savemiifrii didn't work, then you need Infectus or a working motherboard. But I'm not the helper. Just a quick post: It seems that if you want to find a specific app while using the site's search bar, you need to type the name of the app EXACTLY as it's written, that is, including proper capitols and such. To better explain myself, I present to you two links: Here, I am searching for a useful file manager for the wii, "wiixplorer": Now, here I am searching for the same apby Magil - Offtopic

Hmm... you should post this problem over at the emulator's googlecode page then. You should check if your issue hasn't been posted/solved first though. I seem to have read somewhere there that sometimes the autoupdate feature sometimes downloads incomplete apps, and that's what leads me to think you keep getting black screens. As you did with FCE, manually download the app from aby Magil - Homebrew Applications
HBC is not at much fault here. All of Tantric's latest emulators have a tendency to crash, given that there seems to be an issue on the autoupdater included with his emulators, IOS58 and your Wii not being connected to the internet. According to several other people's testimonies, it does reduce significantly the chances of Tantric's emulators crashing. It's your choice ifby Magil - Homebrew Applications
FF VIII plays perfectly fine. Believe me... that's the first thing I tried heh. However, there are a few things you fail to include in your post: - What version of WiiSX are you using? - What version of HBC are you launching WiiSX from? - What device holds WiiSX and your ISOs? It is worth to note that WiiSX on HBC 1.0.7+ is kinda buggy (speaking from personal experience), and may ranby Magil - Homebrew Applications

This black screen you mentioned... is it accompanied by a lack of sound as well? Try pressing A and listen if you actually hear the usual click and then the system menu bgm. You might just have an incorrect video setting on either your TV or your Wii that might need to get fixed (wouldn't know how though, since I personally don't care that much for the myriad of different cables that suby Magil - FixMii
Why the hell are you reviving old posts? You're not even adding anything relevant to these posts, only adding at most irrelevant questions to the matter. Just focus on your current FixMii thread or I'll have to report you.by Magil - FixMii
QuoteAxelQuoteOneUpSo far the frame dropping has made it freeze on a frame, then skip to another frame and freeze for several seconds. That happens to me only if I set the frame dropping to AUTO. If I set it to ALWAYS I get the behavior I described before. To me, it happens the other way around. Setting to ALWAYS makes the Wii go unresponsive (audio still plays), while AUTO makes it hang on aby Magil - Homebrew Applications

I wasn't meaning to be disrespectful. I merely cleared out the possibilities about what other users might have suggested me to do (i.e. submit this bug to the programmer). Also (and in the meantime, I guess), would the only current workaround be launching said apps from an SD? Ok, so far... installation of Priiloader was completed succsefully. After which, my friend was instructed to run DOP-Mii, but accidentally loaded Gecko OS, which upon exiting somehow threw him into HBC. Yay (weird, but yay!). I think the controller itself might be damaged in some way. Have you tested that same controller on a different Wii/Gamecube? I had an N64 and a controller my dad and me repaired, and while that particular controller was connected, the N64 would refuse to even turn on until you took out the control. Ok, so... right to the point. A friend of mine decided he wanted to update from 4.1U to 4.3U Told him a million times no, gave him reasons why not to... fast forward several days later, he tells me he bricked his Wii. He said he used waninkoko's "SAFE" updater 4.3b for the process, after which he supposedly got an error near the end that only appeared briefly, after which he got a blaby Magil - FixMii
