4.3 is not needed for anything, besides IOS58 for homebrew USB 2.0 support. If you own Your Shape, you already have IOS58 and don't need to update. Even if you don't have it, you can use the IOS58 Installer to get it.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
QuoteNintendoFreakQuoteAxelAnd whatever you do, don't use AnyTitle Deleter to remove installed homebrew!!! AnyTitle Deleter leaves a lot of traces itself, which are detected by Nintendo Support and will deny to fix your Wii! What does it leave? the IOS 0? Ive used the updated one by Bushing and other versions too, this concerns me. I believe that the newer, AHBPROT-powered versionsby WikiFSX - Homebrew General
Betwiin will let you run channels that you had on your Wii at the time you copied the NAND over to the new Wii. You will not have download rights for any channels that you had purchased but did not exist on your Wii when you had them. However, if you did not use AnyTitle Deleter to erase any channels you bought and then removed, the tickets should still be there and the channels can be downloadedby WikiFSX - Getting Started
FTP servers basically allow you to connect to a device. Once connected, you can view files, download them, and upload them (if you have the correct permissions). FTP is the name of the protocol (File Transfer Protocol) they use to communicate, which is detailed here. To set one up on a Wii, use the ftpii or WiiExplorer apps.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Here's a step-by-step. 1. Insert a SaveMii, perform the GameCube controller instructions listed above, or hold all four directions on a GameCube DDR pad connected to the fourth player slot. 2. Insert an ORIGINAL (non-burnt) Korean Wii game containing the 4.3 update. I'm not sure if any currently exist. If the System Menu version displayed changes to version 4.3K, turn off your Wiiby WikiFSX - FixMii
I might as well note that updating will remove HBC versions older than 1.0.7. Make sure you are using HBC 1.0.7 or newer (if your HBC is using the new theme, you have 1.0.7 or newer) before updating.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
My understanding is that legal WADs (for example: IOS WADs obtained via NUS Downloader or custom channels that don't use copyrighted base banners) are fine to discuss here.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
USB loaders aren't supported here. It looks like you have a successful homebrew setup, though!by WikiFSX - The Junkyard
There isn't really a way an easy way to do it right now. You can use NUS Downloader to download the correct IOSes and wadImport to install them, but you need to know what to download.by WikiFSX - The Junkyard

Basically because you can post anything and we can't be sure of your actual intent. You may be stating that you will back up your own games but may not plan to do that at all. Also, if you ask for information related to getting "legal" backups to work (which may not really be 100% legal per DMCA), that can easily be used to help pirates.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
The HBC installer can be used to remove all traces of the HBC and BootMii. If possible, remove all modified/custom IOSes from your machine.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General

QuotescanffA Better method I've found for running multiple OS's is Sun VBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/). I use it all the time, I run linux from within Windows. Far easier than partitioning. Also when you're done with the OS all you have to do it delete the file image and you've got the space back. MegaCodeDownloader doesn't really work. Code Downloader does. Personally, I use Code Downloader and Cheat Manager, both of which can be obtained from this site or the Browser.by WikiFSX - Getting Started

Quoteg_manYeah, i just tried to change the only instance of JODI in the arm file, and no luck. You'd have to do it in the ppc file, I think. I remember some people were successfully able to do that a while back.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
You could do a "quick fix" right now by just changing the title ID of the HBC and then rereleasing it. Unless it verifies each title it launches, in which case we have to do trickier things.by WikiFSX - Offtopic

Sorry. I mistook "Homebrew Installer" for "Homebrew Browser". That's an odd issue. To me, it seems like they should just not record logs if they can't record them.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
Sadly, changing the license of one version doesn't affect them all (example: StepMania 3.9 and later are BSD-licensed, older closed-source and GPL-licensed versions of StepMania are still under their original licenses).by WikiFSX - Offtopic
