Your warranty will be voided by installing any homebrew. Homebrew like the Homebrew Channel is relatively risk free, but a bad Bootmii/Boot2 or Priiloader install might brick your Wii.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Right OK, so is it only the TMD and ticket? Because apparently it's not thereby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Right OK, so does that only include Boot0-2?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Wait what? I'm confused... The system menu doesn't have to exist for preloader to work, does it?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
No - Newer system menus delete the HBC if found Newer HBCs can't be found Updating the HBC before system menu means it'll never be found.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
QuoteSifJarYeah that's Preloader. Just use the Wii Remote (d-pad and A button) to select "SYSTEM MENU" to start up the Wii. If you want it to autostart normally, go to "SETTINGS" and change the autoboot to "SYSTEM MENU". Also, it seems you have a very old System Menu. Seeing as you said you don't care about homebrew, my advice once you get past Preloader, go into Settings, setup WiFiby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General

QuoteSifJarCOD is an official game maniac ;) (Call Of Duty) But it doesn't support classic controller AFAIK. Or gamecube controller if that's what you meant. Only Wii Remote + Nunchuck. He might have only tested it with Homebrew, for some obscure reason.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
I don't really understand what you mean... If you mean a USB controller, they don't work If you mean a 3rd party Wii Controller, they only work in official games.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Another SD card should work fine, unless you have exceptionally bad luck in your choiceby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
It's probably a problem with the System Menu not recognizing the card. Judging by Nintendo's recent updates to the System Menu, this doesn't look like it's going to be fixed.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Try reformatting it to FAT (FAT 16)by metroid_maniac - Getting Started

How very descriptive. How did you turn updates off?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
1) The backup loader force loads a game in a cIOS (Usually 249) rather than the one it was made for 2) The disc channel tries to run Other M in the IOS it was made for, 56, even though it doesn't exist. 3) Installing IOS 56 (IOS 56_v64_v5661.wad) will not remove any homebrew installed.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
1.) What do you mean? Once the update for a specific game is installed via Gecko OS you can play it via the disc channel - for originals at least. 2.) We don't like backup loaders here, but Gecko OS should do that. 3.) See below postby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
1) Recent Priiloader editions use a different internal method of applying hacks, you can find updated versions here. If you don't know which to use, check the System Menu's version (Wii Icon in bottom left > settings > top right corner) 2) Gecko OS will "Filter out" the update so you keep your system menu, etc. but get to play the game. Once Gecko OS has installed the update, youby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
1. does, sort of. IF you post the results of this here it may help. 2. Yes, you can upgrade Bootmii and Priiloader by installing over them. 3. Yes 4. It is possible to start over from scratch, but I think it's easier the way it is right now a) EXCEPTION DMI and DSI are basically like having to "End Task" or "Force Close" an application. It indicates no problem with your system. b) Youby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
If you are on 4.3 and you want to pick a game to use, I'd go with Super Smash Bros Brawl and Smash Stack exploit, it's a good game IMO.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
