Your warranty will be voided by installing any homebrew. Homebrew like the Homebrew Channel is relatively risk free, but a bad Bootmii/Boot2 or Priiloader install might brick your Wii.

No - Newer system menus delete the HBC if found Newer HBCs can't be found Updating the HBC before system menu means it'll never be found.

I don't really understand what you mean... If you mean a USB controller, they don't work If you mean a 3rd party Wii Controller, they only work in official games.

Another SD card should work fine, unless you have exceptionally bad luck in your choice

It's probably a problem with the System Menu not recognizing the card. Judging by Nintendo's recent updates to the System Menu, this doesn't look like it's going to be fixed.

The boot.elf file should not be in any folder on the SD Card.

1) The backup loader force loads a game in a cIOS (Usually 249) rather than the one it was made for 2) The disc channel tries to run Other M in the IOS it was made for, 56, even though it doesn't exist. 3) Installing IOS 56 (IOS 56_v64_v5661.wad) will not remove any homebrew installed.

1.) What do you mean? Once the update for a specific game is installed via Gecko OS you can play it via the disc channel - for originals at least. 2.) We don't like backup loaders here, but Gecko OS should do that. 3.) See below post

1) Recent Priiloader editions use a different internal method of applying hacks, you can find updated versions here. If you are on 4.3 and you want to pick a game to use, I'd go with Super Smash Bros Brawl and Smash Stack exploit, it's a good game IMO.

Try to run bootmini.elf of the Hackmii Installer .zip to Install the Homebrew Channel again. You can do this by going Settings > SD card and loading bootmini.elf in Bootmii

DVDx is depreciated. However, this application has not been updated to use the newer AHBPROT. Maybe someone will help.
