Funniest thread in a while. Either a troll, or an immensely stupid 10 year old. Careful now daniel, he might use his ub3r h4x0rz and pwn ur box. You really expect help from users here, while disregarding the forum rules, swearing and making threats? Come on.by PhoenixTank - The Junkyard

Sandisk helped write the spec, so it would certainly make sense that their implementation would be more... reliable, I guess?by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General

Beyond family members, I don't remember the last time anyone gave me something for nothing, no strings attached. Where are you trying to go with this? They are out to make a profit - welcome to capitalism?by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
QuotegiantpuneSweet. I just used your tutorial and got this set up in no time. A few parts were different in the version of eclipse i got, but i managed to get it. i was able to insert a breakpoint in teh hello world example and "debug" it with eclipse and my gecko. But then i closed eclipse and restarted it, the debugger fails to work. I guess i need to sit down and learn this thing. Yeahby PhoenixTank - Coding
? That doesn't really answer my question, but my point was that there is already a SQL RDBMS on Wii, and they are similar enough that it would seem fruitless to go out of ones way to port MySQL.by PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests
See Edit: Regarding all IOSes appearing trucha enabled on 4.0 when using signcheck, I have the same issue. Seems to be a bug with the application.by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
Oookay... odd post. "4th party" doesn't exist. Second party refers to developers that they own a share of, but not outright. I'm not really sure what you are trying to achieve by emailing them, though.by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
Reading DVDs uses a different laser wavelength to the one used for CDs, and the Wii DVD drive is not a combo. So no, not possible.by PhoenixTank - Offtopic
My Sandisk 4GB Class 6 works fine. Same with my 8GB class 2.by PhoenixTank - Homebrew General
There seem to be others with issues there... Like I said I haven't used my usbgecko for Wiiload, but that is what you are supposed to do... =/ Well, Eclipse's debugger perspective is part of Eclipse. I wrote a guide that might be somewhat useful: Setting up Eclipse for Wii Development Insight should be included with your devkitpro install, I think. (devkitPro\insight\bin)by PhoenixTank - Coding

QuoteArikadoQuotePhoenixTankYou lost me at "data structures", Arikado :P What were you referring to? Just the way you have stuff like return to HUB and Up one laid out at the top and everything else in alphabetical order. Sorry for the lack of a better term. Ah I see. Well, again credit to Tantric. The sorting mechanism and "Up One Level" was already there. I actual wanted "Up to hub" to appearby PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests
As far as Wiiload goes, you need to enable the VCP driver for the USB Gecko, and set your WIILOAD variable to the appropriate COM port. Personally, I haven't bothered, Wifi works well enough for that, though it would be useful for MINI apps. As far as debugging goes, you will want refer to the debugging page on the wiki most of the time. Basic instructions: 1) Add the following to yourby PhoenixTank - Coding
QuoteArikadoWow, you managed to get libwiigui working - That alone is really impressive. I also really like how you have the data structures laid out. I honestly can't wait until you release this (and the source I hope). Great job and keep up the good work :) You lost me at "data structures", Arikado :P What were you referring to? Most of what is visible isn't really my work.by PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests
I'm pretty sure daniel located the issue. The file labelled gg.rom is actually named gg.rom.nes on disk, when it shouldn't be.by PhoenixTank - Homebrew Applications
QuoteTheMadJesterOh, I'm sorry. I mistook this website for a place where people could help. Where ideas and thoughts were freely discussed in hopes of finding solutions. Since this thread is apparently going away anyway. Thanks for nothing you fucking jack-ass. Daniel could have just left it at "We do not support piracy, back-ups and/or usb game loaders here.", yet he did try to help withby PhoenixTank - FixMii
I still love the idea but, there seem to be so many pitfalls... so, my suggestion: 1) Buy a key finder. 2) Strap/tape receiver to Wii Remote. 3) Strap/tape emitter to Wii console/TV. 4) Party? :Pby PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests
As Sifjar has said, HBB acts as a nice sandbox. Nothing you can download from there should do any damage to your system. Glad to be of assistance, and welcome to the world of Wii Homebrew.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
It shouldn't matter in most cases. There is no light and day difference between my Class 6 and my Class 2 SDHC cards, and even then, limited to read/write operations on the cards e.g. Bootmii loads up a second or two faster with my Class 6 card. For your example, I very much doubt it will make any noticeable difference.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
QuoteDanielHuehoWhat about WiiSee? It is imaginative, but it just doesn't ring with me. QuoteGamewizard71how about WiiBrew Manager Already part of the first post. Still sticking with Phx Device Explorer I think. Won't be able to do any further work on it for a week or two, though, so there is still time for a better name. Oh and fairly relevant... IT LIVES:by PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests
I can't say for sure, but I think that the Wii may be old enough for boot2, judging by the serial number. If not, you really should be fine. Again, for fool proofing, I think it is just a case of removing the SD card when you aren't there, and maybe using the parental controls. Depends on your definition of "boot" and "load", I guess. Some examples: Bootmii attempts to boot from SDby PhoenixTank - Getting Started
