Cool, didn't know that. Guess this is more useful then I thought then.by Daid - BootMii Beta
Chances are that you have a light next/near/above your TV? Just as a test, turn off all lights in your house and see if it still acts funny.by Daid - Offtopic
Btw, I don't consider this very useful until we have a homebrew way of installing channels.by Daid - BootMii Beta
The disc channel is not a real channel like all the others. So it does special things, like the banners from disk. Real channels cannot do that.by Daid - Ideas, requests
This version can boot to any channel. I've only tested it with the mii channel and the HBC. (ini contains a few examples)by Daid - BootMii Beta
Quotegiantpunei would go with an entirely different approach. rather than messing with the HBC or any wads, you can just rename the ppcboot file in the bootmii folder and put a new one there. just grab the ppcskel, which is essentially a "hello world" example for apps to talk to mini instead of IOS. you can already use this code to start any channel which is installed on the wii. so inby Daid - BootMii Beta
Just for the info, Boot2 is signed with RSA-2048. Which is currently considered safe against bruteforce attacks. 512 bit RSA keys can be bruteforced in a few weeks with a simple quadcore. But every bit doubles that time if I remember correctly. So with a single quadcore the Boot2 key will take 2.41e+462 times as long as a 512 bit key. QuotekhjuiQuoteCrayon-lwiilight Thanx! One last question, how would I find that out? It's experience. C/C++ is complex, in the beginning, don't try to understand everything. Some thing just are. You'll find out later why they are that way.by Daid - Coding

Your ability to post here is a privilege not a right. And this privilege can be revoked at any moment without reason. The owner(s) of wiibrew.org rule here. Not the users. After some email problems managed to get the files from WaxyPumpkin72. So I have 13 raw notes now. I've added "freestyle" to GuitarsOnFire where you can play them. You use the 5 fret buttons in combination with the strum bar to play them. Tilt the guitar to change pitch. It works, but as I cannot play guitar I don't know how well it works. If all goes well then I'll release aby Daid - Ideas, requests
Is there any way to ask how much memory is still not allocated? I want to do some caching of loaded files, but I don't want my code to run out of memory anywhere else. Or is there anyway I can hook into malloc so that I can cleanup something when it runs out of memory? And then there is the question of stack space, does it grow/shrink with usage? Or has it a fixed size?by Daid - Coding
Basically it contains all the variable that start with 0 values.by Daid - Coding
I don't think the code makes use of freetype, so you can remove -lfreetype from the library list.by Daid - Coding
QuoteArikadoIf there's a destructor, you should call the destructor before deleteing them.Destructors are called by delete. How did you fill the vector? If you use malloc to create something and then delete to destroy it then things will go wrong.by Daid - Coding

The only thing I took from GuitarFun code is the midi loading, and even that had a few bugs in it. And I took some gfx, which I also had to fixup. All the chart software I looked at didn't allow me to set any starpower sections/points. And I think GuitarFun abuses tempo changes as starpower sections. But I cannot check that as GuitarFun doesn't work for me (lag makes it unplayable)by Daid - Ideas, requests
While this is not the place for PC SDL questions, I do have a few tips for you. First, make sure you really got hardware surfaces. Some configurations only give you software surfaces even if you ask for hardware (I think 8 bit screens are always software on windows) You can check the SDL_Surface->flags for that: Next, make sure you do hardware->hardware blits on the same type of surby Daid - Coding

What you are looking for is "trucha" signing. It needs a wii without a lot of updates tough.by Daid - Homebrew Applications
Any chance that this relates to the: "Nyko Frontman Wireless Guitar" problem? It's the only guitar extention that I know of that doesn't work with a recent libogc (older versions had problems with anything newer then GH3)by Daid - Homebrew General

Still means you should be able to replace libwiiuse if it is used in a homebrew app ;-) But people are less picky on LGPL 'violations' like that, and I'm not even sure LGPL fully works like that. Pretty sure you should release the sources if you modify the library. (Very sure about how GPL works, just a bit unclear about LGPL). But then we're mostly fine I guess. (I got theby Daid - Coding
QuotescanffI don't think GPL/LGPL licensing mean you have to provide all the source if you use one lib, just the lib source. In fact the same rule would apply for using libogc or any other homebrew library as it's BSD/GPL/LGPL so in theory you can't develop any homebrew without releasing the source. Not releasing source for homebrew is somewhat shitty anyway. You misunderstand Gby Daid - Coding
