QuotesmeesmayDoes the newest wii64 support the usb2 also? I think not, wii64 has not been updated in a long time. QuoteekeekeWith tehskeen being closed, there is no support forum anymore Yeah, I also migrated from Tehskeen to here :) I miss that place, both Tantric and you were very active there. Brakken always did a great work. I know a lot of people miss that place too.by Axel - Getting Started
btw, you are talking to the author of those emus (ekeeke), so you are getting the best help you could ever had dreamt of :) Thanks ekeeke for sticking around often.by Axel - Getting Started
QuoteSifJarOld trucha and new trucha depends on the IOS being used. Because Ninty obviously changed signature checking when trucha bug was revealed, and therefore tools like dop-Mii that patch trucha bug need to check for the old code and the new code, and patch only one of them (as only one should be present). However, I would have thought that the old patch would have been the one to fail on reby Axel - Homebrew Applications
Quotebg4545There is no new trucha and old trucha, but you don't need to have trucha anyways. lol bg, well, actually when you use new versions of DOP-Mii, after loading AW_ABHPROT, it loads some patches to memory. During applying the patches, it gives a message for each patch, such as SUCCESS or FAILED. Among these patches applied, there are 2 called 'OLD TRUCHA' and 'NEWby Axel - Homebrew Applications
You are getting these issues because you have installed a fakesigned version of IOS36. This is why you get an upside down HBC. You surely have several other patched IOS, that is why HackMii installer freezes upon pressing 1 to continue. You need to use DOP-Mii to restore the patched IOS you have to their original versions. Regarding the lost SD card, it is not really important, just buyby Axel - Getting Started
QuoteDaidQuotelorddunlow3. My current BootMii setup will only boot to the last version of the HBC (JODI) due to the change in title IDs. Is there any way to change this other than updating my version of BootMii to the newest version? And will that version change me to boot2v4?The title loaded from bootmii is contained within the PPC application on the SD card. So after updating to a new versionby Axel - Homebrew General

QuoteSifJarBTW, sorry for kinda off-topic question, but are you sure its 248MB RAM, and not 2048MB? 248 is not only fairly poor, but also I believe impossible. It goes 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048.... (doubles every time) Older computers (mostly laptops) which didn't have a dedicated graphics card, took a certain amount of RAM memory to dedicate it as VRAM. What do you mean by you 'press start'? What you should press is the eject button in the front of your Wii console.by Axel - BootMii Beta

Quotefoxymoxyjust to let you guys know, I went out and got a 2 gig Kingston Sd card, and it worked, like magic. Unlike that stupid 8 gig dane-elec. I'm glad it worked for you. Yeah, Kingston and Sandisk 2 GB SD Cards are known to have best compatibility with the Wii :)by Axel - Getting Started
Quotenightwishfan1Well one way to get your feature if he doesnt add it would be to request the feature with the VBA team for the pc version. That way it would be less work for him to incorporate it, since he wont have to code it in from scratch. I don't think that would work. Wii video modes are far differently from PC video modes. That might be the reason, also SSBB does not support SDHC, just plain SD. Make sure you are using one of these.by Axel - Getting Started
This is a bug introduced in the last revisions of WiiXplorer. The settings.xml file is stored in the directory sd:\config\WiiXplorer however, it looks like now the application does not create this directory by itself anymore. Previous versions of the application created the directory at the time they generated the settings.xml file. In order to get your settings saved, just create the foldeby Axel - Getting Started
4096 is indeed a too small block size for a FAT16 filesystem. Try formatting it to FAT16 with a blocksize of 32768 bytes. Let us know how it worked.by Axel - Offtopic
Both of them are fully compatible with the Wii and none should give you any issue. Particularly my SD cards are 2 GB Kingston. It is just a matter of more confidence to the brand, and I also read somewhere a long time ago that Sandisk SD cards are a bit slower (of course that might have changed by now).by Axel - Getting Started
It's obvious you are missing the SD card in the SD card slot :Pby Axel - Homebrew General
A little off topic... I personally own 3 Kingston 2GB SD cards which I bought solely for the purpose of using with my Wii. I have never experienced any issue with any of them, so I would recommend them as well anyday.by Axel - Homebrew General
Updating to 4.3 stubbed all of your cIOS and uninstalled BootMii from Boot2. Save the cIOS stuff to yourself, it is not allowed for discussion here. If you already reinstalled them, good. Reinstall bootmii as Boot2 using HackMii Installer if you have not done it.by Axel - BootMii Beta
I'd still recommend you to at least be able for now to backup your savegames. You should at least be able to do this with no problem. When we get to the point of reinstalling them onto your new Wii we will look for more options. Just install IOS36 rev1042 in slot 236 using DOP-Mii + ABHPROT flag. Then you will be able to successfully use either SaveGame Manager MOD or Banana Saves (I woulby Axel - Homebrew Applications

QuoteSifJarDowngraded IOS36 won't work on a new Wii, regardless of where you install it. Of course they'd do as long as they as post-Oct23 update IOS. There are still revisions with nand permissions enabled after it. And I wouldn't be that sure that pre-Oct23 IOS don't work if installed in another slot. Quotebarjb123Don't know guys, it will not load the channel for some reason. You think if I tried a different game like smash stack, or yu-gi will make a difference at all. I mean I still will be using the same installer. I don't think using another exploit would make a difference, since apparently the problem is past the exploit. We need more details such as your Wii System Menu version, your HBC version and whether you have IOS58 installed for running from USB. What you describes sounds like your standard code dump error, which might be pretty common if something regarding USB access is not properly set up.by Axel - Getting Started
SifJar, you are correct. All Savegame Managers require specifically cIOS249 except Savegame Manager MOD (by Arikado) and Savegame Manager GX both of which will use any IOS with nand permissions. There is also Banana Saves which I found great for backing up saves, but it also requires an IOS with nand permissions enabled. This might look that it has nothing to do, but it does to some extent... What System Menu version are you running on your Wii? What Homebrew Channel version are you using? Do you have any cIOS/patched IOS installed? (If you don't know what these are, drop this question)by Axel - Homebrew General

lol, come on guys, don't make such a fuss out of nothing. Mods, please feel free to delete all the posts related to that stuff and let's focus on helping barjb123. I'd also go with the idea of removing IOS58 and retrying the install so it will choose another IOS.by Axel - Getting Started
