It's... been a while. Anyways, while checking out why was it that Firefox was updated a full version number again in such short notice, one thing led to another, and I was led something I hadn't remembered in a very long while: the acid3 test. According to it's entry in wikipedia, the acid3 test supposedly crashes the console. Unfortunately, this was not something I could tryby Magil - Homebrew General
I'm kinda surprised by the way you've been treating this guy. Granted, he should've made less posts by saying all he needed in 1 or 2 concise posts or editing when he needed updating... but all you've done so far has been delegating the responsibility to help him to other people, all while making vague posts and unnecessarily scolding him for mentioning he used backups, whby Magil - Homebrew Applications

I'm actually quite astonished by it's vast improvement. Just upgraded from 1.0.6, and now I'm able to play a couple of videos that would've crashed me before. Thank you for your hard work Tantric. As for shnazzyone... instead of starting these vague and otherwise pointless threads, why not do some research? Ummm, yeah... I did read it this time. That's why I edited myself to read before pursuing my questions any further (taking a step back and reading documentation), and that's how I found out about the change to Z+D-Pad combination. I do hope that, by having been released on april 1st, the fact that several things on this new release were broken merely by a small joke. I don't want to come out sounding all bitter and whatnot, heh... it's just my own speculation. Only thing bothering me with this release is the fact that none of the changes I make to my controller settings seem to be saved. At random, I'm diby Magil - Homebrew Applications
I would happily link you, but there are several troubling issues with helping you that would go against the forum rules. As useless as I have been in this post, the only viable suggestion I can make is to use google for your endeavors. Good luck.by Magil - Homebrew General
That's too bad... the main reason, as I said, was to share files between my laptop and the Wii. I have come up with a different idea, but I have no clue how to go through with it Wii-side. How about connecting my PC with my Wii through Ad-hoc, whilst sharing an internet connection with a different wireless card on the same computer for every device on my Ad-hoc network? Wait... so do the documented bricks listed in those links, are they still occurring due to that no_reload_ios string? The following properly expresses my ignorance on the subject, yet I'm still inclined to asking: what is that string for, and why do devs insist on using it if it's been reported several times for being buggy? There is a cover mod for SNES9xGX, and it's listed somewhere near the bottom of it's Wiibrew page entry. However, the mod is based on an older version of SNES9xGX, so it's your call... I dunno about the other two emulators, and while I support your idea, I don't think that he'll do it even if you pay him. Several weeks ago, I bought myself a router solely with the intent of building a private home network for file and printer sharing only, without any internet connection whatsoever. Breezing through setup, I got every device on the network up and running. However, my Wii is somehow unable to get it's own IP address on the network, even though my router lists it with it's very own addrby Magil - Homebrew General
Why not make it so that, after a certain amount of time, topics lock themselves automatically? Say, at least 2 month old threads... and if, after it's been autolocked, the topic starter needs to add something new and relevant to the post, suggest PMing a moderator to unlock it?by Magil - Homebrew Applications
*suggestion to move this topic to the appropriate subforum* Official Nintendo updates are, for the most part, safe. I can name a few reasons as to why your games don't work anymore, but before I go blatantly throwing around harsh accusations, I'd like to know what kind of games have you been trying and failing to run, and how is it your trying to run these in the first place.by Magil - FixMii

This is yet another follow up thread from this one: For anyone interested in sorting out our problem, I would strongly encourage you to read EVERYTHING from the beginning. I warn you, though, that it is a very lengthy read (considering this problem has spawned 4 threads across a period of aprox. 3-4 months). QuoteNintendoFreakQuoteMagilQuoteNintendoFreakYou are just going to get the "We don't support piracy, buy your games and you will have no problems." from a mod/ admin soon, which is true. It's most likely that the game will not run on the emulator for issues yet to be resolved. Actually, don't expect them to ever be ironed out. The emulators which Hugo Wii and WiiEngine are based upon have been abandoned for nearly 10 years, and do not show any signs of ever coming back from their dormant state. Well, now that this thread has been brought from the dead... ehem... I used to use IE7, back when it was first released. Quotebg4545Yeah, it would be IOS36 v1042, and yes the so-called "LU64+" Wii's cannot run old IOS versions, but it should not cause an irreversible brick; You can use homebrew running on other IOSes to fix it. While partially right, both ISOs and BINs are formats commonly used as disc image formats. Regardless, they're both pretty much the same. And, ummm... I still haven't gotten around to reading the Manual (so terribly sorry ekeeke), so my information might be inaccurate. I wouldn't know how to go about hacking a PSP to run homebrew or launch pirated games since I don't own one myself, and probably never will. So, am I supposed to ignore any plea regarding Priiloader, as well as ATD and any other app of that nature from now on? ... but I thought that cIOS was only to be discussed only when it was related to legitimate homebrew applications. And I found it quite censoring to simply lock the topic.
