Possible new Wii exploit - 12 years ago
It's... been a while. Anyways, while checking out why was it that Firefox was updated a full version number again in such short notice, one thing led to another, and I was led something I hadn't remembered in a very long while: the acid3 test. I'm kinda surprised by the way you've been treating this guy. I'm actually quite astonished by it's vast improvement. Just upgraded from 1.0.6, and now I'm able to play a couple of videos that would've crashed me before. Thank you for your hard work Tantric. As for shnazzyone... instead of starting these vague and otherwise pointless threads, why not do some research? Ummm, yeah... I did read it this time. That's why I edited myself to read before pursuing my questions any further (taking a step back and reading documentation), and that's how I found out about the change to Z+D-Pad combination. I do hope that, by having been released on april 1st, the fact that several things on this new release were broken merely by a small joke. I don't want to come out sounding all bitter and whatnot, heh... it's just my own speculation. That's too bad... the main reason, as I said, was to share files between my laptop and the Wii. I have come up with a different idea, but I have no clue how to go through with it Wii-side. How about connecting my PC with my Wii through Ad-hoc, whilst sharing an internet connection with a different wireless card on the same computer for every device on my Ad-hoc network? There is a cover mod for SNES9xGX, and it's listed somewhere near the bottom of it's Wiibrew page entry. However, the mod is based on an older version of SNES9xGX, so it's your call... I dunno about the other two emulators, and while I support your idea, I don't think that he'll do it even if you pay him. Several weeks ago, I bought myself a router solely with the intent of building a private home network for file and printer sharing only, without any internet connection whatsoever. Breezing through setup, I got every device on the network up and running. It's most likely that the game will not run on the emulator for issues yet to be resolved. Actually, don't expect them to ever be ironed out. The emulators which Hugo Wii and WiiEngine are based upon have been abandoned for nearly 10 years, and do not show any signs of ever coming back from their dormant state. Well, now that this thread has been brought from the dead... ehem... I used to use IE7, back when it was first released. It was cool and all, but I would constantly be attacked by viruses when visiting certain... adult natured sites (damn you and your unnecessary plugins!!). Then, I switched over to Firefox when a friend told me about it. I got Firefox 2.x or something, and it ran pretty damnby Magil - Offtopic

While partially right, both ISOs and BINs are formats commonly used as disc image formats. Regardless, they're both pretty much the same. And, ummm... I'm trying to understand your logic, but I can't quite grasp how if people say they're using ISOs, to think they're actually using BINs, when they really might be using ISOs... I still haven't gotten around to reading the Manual (so terribly sorry ekeeke), so my information might be inaccurate. From the looks of it, your using a ROM that was modified to include both the "Sonic & Knuckles" and "Sonic the Hedgehog" ROMs merged together... right? I haven't personally tried this one out on Genesis Plus, but what I did find out was that it also wasn't workingby Magil - Homebrew Applications

I wouldn't know how to go about hacking a PSP to run homebrew or launch pirated games since I don't own one myself, and probably never will. Therefore, I wouldn't know how easy/hard it is to hack a Wii in comparison to a PSP.
