What codes are you trying to run? For the file replacement codes you need a non-SDHC card. Are you sure you use codes from the correct region?by profetylen - Getting Started
If you're interested in learning how to do it yurself, have a look here: . Warning, though: It will require alot of work and you need to buy a USB Gecko I guess.by profetylen - Ideas, requests
Mostly because I like to play games from other consoles on my Wii as it's alot more practical to have only one console connected to the TV than one. (I know there's Virtual console, but I don't like the idea to have re-buy every single game I would like to play and also, you have more control over emulators, plus the Wii hadn't got the SD-menu back then and 512 MB is waaaaay tby profetylen - Offtopic
Still, since the SD code is in the SDK it should look pretty much the same in every game (please correct me if I'm wrong), so if one could just localize that code, one should be able to write a fairly general gecko patch to patch the old SD code to SDHC code provided we have some free memory to hook into. However, SDHC is much more software based than regular SD, so I'd imagine it isby profetylen - Ideas, requests
I'm sorry not to be able to answer your question, but I didn't know MKWii was hacked more than Brawl (that's alot!!), however, I didn't find much information besides from a few semi-cool youtube videos of Mario Kart hacks, and I'd be glad if you could point me in the right direction where to learn more about said hacks.by profetylen - Software
@WiiFan2012: If you ever plan to go advanced, I suggest you don't touch WGS as it will only waste your time learning things 2 times (as you will need other programming languages than WGS (if you can call it a language) to go advanced (or do the advanced stuff in a bad, inefficent and time consuming way)). Furthermore, the first time you'll learn the stuff, you'll learn them in, IMOby profetylen - Coding
Quotedirtrider73068Its not really a artist, its a loop of a song that was loaded to play on the HBB. Well, the person who has written that loop should be the artist that made it, shouldn't he/she?by profetylen - Offtopic
@taiponvslink: You could sign into the irc channel #wiidev on efnet. He usually hangs around there.by profetylen - The Junkyard
aidman650: Telling what game it is would make more people interested I guess. ;)by profetylen - Homebrew General
I'm sorry to hear that. Good you are getting better though! One thing I've learned in life is no matter how tough life can be, things always tend to get better when you're at bottom. Not that I can say that this is a general rule or something, but that's what tends to happen in my life. By the way... cheese is good! :Pby profetylen - Offtopic
Does it go to sleep when it's plugged into your computer too?by profetylen - Homebrew General
Hi and welcome!! My username comes from a misunderstanding while trying to say professor in french. ^^ Where comes your's from?by profetylen - Offtopic
I have a Seagate myself and it came with software with the ability to adjust the time to wait until it automatically turns itself off due to inactivity. You could try to increase that time.by profetylen - Homebrew General
Most third party controllers does unfortunately not work, so there's really not anything you can do about it but modifying libogc properly and to do that you need reverse engineering skills.by profetylen - Homebrew Applications
Is it a third part controller? Can you play FCEU with the wiimote it is connected to?by profetylen - Homebrew Applications
@wiz64: Great! You could definately do graphics ripping (it's not hard at all, just a bit tedious). If you want to do that i suggest you read this: and this: and this: . Just tell me if you want to do any other thing (or just do it and tell me later). Thank you very much in advance. You help is much appreciated.by profetylen - Ideas, requests
I could be needing you help. Read this if you're interested: .by profetylen - Ideas, requests
So, a couple of days ago, I started this project: "Megaman X Versus". It is (or will be) a Megaman X fan game with the ability to play versus each other. I've kind of missed this feature ever since I played Megaman X for the first time. First of all, this is not mainly a Wii homebrew game, but a PC game (testing is so much faster on a PC), but a Wii homebrew version is planned as soon asby profetylen - Ideas, requests
Quotecactusjack901QuoteWikiFSXIt's not 2048!, it's 2^2048. Substantially better odds, but still terrible. RSA-2048 is 2048 bits, not bytes. Even if it was bytes, 2048! would still be wrong. 2^16384 would be correct, and even that would be somewhat lower than 2048!. Sorry about that, I just misread a brief quote I read up on it, and used that in my "equations" Still, even thoby profetylen - Offtopic
@Daid: Thanks for a good and detailed exlpanation! It is very much apprecieated!by profetylen - Offtopic
QuoteDaid profetylen is heading the right way. But also fails at the C syntax. Chars are single quotes, not double. And you lack the NUL terminator. Woops, by "\n" I meant "\0" or '\0' actually. Thanks for telling me that chars are single quotes! However, what's the difference between "H" and 'H' then? My guess is that "H" includes the null terminator. Am I right?by profetylen - Offtopic
@chris: You should use malloc() or change char* to char array (so you have a definite length) to avoid the risk of string being randomly overwritten. You can also do: char char1= "H"; char char2="i" char baseString; char baseString[0]=char1; char baseString[1]=char2; char baseString[2]="\n"; I'm not 100 % sure the final line is needed. EDIT: Or you could use sprintf().by profetylen - Offtopic
QuotejakeThe same problem with brawl has happened to me I've tried disk cleaners but most of them are a DVD that plays and then cleans the drive which isnt good enough because the disc channel will read it work out it's not a wii game and stop reading it. Use some homebrew which reads the disc and it should not stop spinning I think.by profetylen - Offtopic
Are you 100 % certain you are placing all the files in the correct folders?by profetylen - Homebrew General
If you downloaded it from the HBB, you maybe didn't get all the files you should have got. This has happened to me a long time ago. If that's the case, try downloading from wiibrew.org.by profetylen - Homebrew General
Press the red button next to the SD card, while being in the system menu. Also you need to press the red button next to the batteries on your wiimote at the same time. Refer to the Wii instructions manual for more detailed information on how to sync the wiimotes. If that doesn't help, ask here again.by profetylen - Homebrew Applications
You can use sleep(x) or usleep(x) for the pausing thing. I think usleep() sleeps for x microseconds and sleep() for x seconds.by profetylen - Coding
OR: Does anyone know a good way of finding it out?by profetylen - Offtopic
