QuoteDrLuckyQuoteChuckBartowskiIm gonna update anyway i decided now. I dont do "Back Ups" or use preloader or anything so im good. As long as HBC works im a happy camper. :) you should probably do DVDx first too Already got it. Updated too. It all works good. I can play dvds and got the latest update. Im kinda disappointed though. I thought there would be more to this update but it kinda suby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_wQuoteChuckBartowski The only thing is that the screens would have to be ridiculously small to fit both on screen and have them look OK at the same time. 640 * 480 is more than enough to display 2 DS screens, either top-bottom or left-right (if it suits the game) Did anybody play the Wii version of - behold the long title - "Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles - Echoes Of Time".by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
QuoteArikadoI was thinking a classic controller wiimote combo actually. Aside from the analog sticks, the classic controller looks just like the main buttons on the DS. Also, I'd love to see gamecube support to try playing mario kart ds with a gamecubes awesome analog stick. Ya i could see that. Support for GC controllers would be awesome. Thats probably a more practical approach. The only tby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
QuoteArikadoAwesome, dying to see how he gets the bottom screen to work. Use 2 wiimotes! one as the control and one for a stylus. That would be kinda messed up for ppl who only have one controller but it was the first thing that came to mind.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
Thats all 3.2 stuff anyway. Custom channels are just pointless in the first place, especially with the Brick risk when you could just use HBC. Gecko reboot with hooks: With bootmii were gonna have complete control over the system anyway, so wont we be able to do things like Gecko OS anyway.(Correct me on that if you want because im not really sure what the Hooks you can reboot with are anyway.) QuoteDrLuckyQuoteArikadoQuoteDrLuckyQuoteArikadoTheres really no reason to downgrade if you have the HBC installed. I can think of several! Enlighten me. (Preloader doesn't count :P) Preloader can be put on 4.0 too soon... If you buy stock that came out before they released 4.0. Meaning if some stores still have old consoles.by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
Great, the blocked homebrew, not piracy. Idiots. See Hereby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
Use Gecko, Not AnyRegion Changer. Starfall is still iffy but Gecko OS is almost 100% brick Proof. Its not Failsafe, but its better than Anyregion Changer or starfall.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
No its clear. I get it. But one thing. I no this is probably true but... Will these apps that run through Bootmii be non IOS dependent. Meaning they can run perfectly fine without a certain IOSby ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
Hmmm. Thats just weird to me. I guess Nintendo is just always weird. I mean who names a game console Wii?!?! Jk.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
I don't see NInty ever doing this. There are way too may examples too chose from as how bad things can happen when you do stuff like this *cough*Microsoft*cough*Sony*cough*. They'd end up getting beat in court like a read headed step child if you know what i mean. I think anyone who is ingenious as Nintendo would be able to learn by others examples and not do it. However, they could havby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General

Why are there certain games that wont copy anyway. I thought they all would. as far as i no all my nintendo made games(Zelda, Super mario galaxy, and SSBB) all copy to the SD fine. Is there a specific reason why some dont?by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
Why do you need to use save game extractor or installer when you can copy them yourself. Example: When i installed HBC, both the first and second time, i used the save manager in the system settings menu to copy my save to my SD, then my PC, and when i was done with twilight hack and installing HBC, Copied it back to the SD and then wii. This process works fine for me every time, So what is saveby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
nintendo did it. Theyre mad you violated their warranty! JK. BUt i wouldnt think that any sort of software could remotely effect your sound. Especially on a game console that doesnt have drivers like a computer. My guess is something got broke or overheated. Take it to someone elses console to see if its the disc. Then change the speakers or tv if you want to test that. But like arikado said, ifby ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
I don't feel like reading wikipedia right now... Could someone give me a brief summary.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew General
@ Arikado. Theres a lot of easy ways to get around filters on forums so i wouldnt even bother. On another forum i used to post on, we always had to underline the o in cockpit because the playstation underground Gran Turismo forum said it was a no no. It would always come up with **bleep**pit. It was funny when you think about it though.by ChuckBartowski - Offtopic
QuotenightsQuotebg4m3rIf you agree to what? The only way you'll get prompted with the new EULA is if you ARE updating. SInce you've had Wiiconnect24 on, you've already agreed to an EULA and you won't have to agree to another unless you update. Also, I believe that 3.4 has been checked out and no one has found any code to indicate that auto updating is in there, so the only feaby ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
@Arikado: I thought it already would be usefull. I mean for being able to boot HBC at boot, that sounds pretty usefull. Could you elaborate on that? Im interested on how theyre thinking of using it for brick protection. I knew it was a thought, but i didnt think that anything like that would be possible with just software mods.by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
@nights: Nope. and i suggest not asking them(team twiizers) about it either. they like to take their time and do things right. But like DrLucky said, hackmii would be the place to check. There hasnt been any updates on it in a few weeks but it looks like its coming soon!by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
And what might that thread be under?by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
IOS38 probably. If you want fakesigned stuff to work, then no Wii Speak. Sorry. :( Edit: Read your original post all the way through, you said you already installed ios38? Was it patched or something? If not than you already are incompatible with the fakesign bug.by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
Well then you wont have any luck. The wii menu isnt working on Dolphin yet so id think you wouldnt be able to run any channels, so no HBC. But you might try running them through twilight hack on Dolphin. I dont know if it would work though.by ChuckBartowski - Testing Corner
@ninjafish1990: Your correct. Some emulators have the feature of DVD booting roms, but some dont. You also must have DVDx installed for this to work. @DADDYD: No you dont need the homebrew disc loader, Just DVDx installed. This is how it accesses the dvd i believe.by ChuckBartowski - Getting Started
@ Jarvolt: I think there might be some difference. When the light is red, there is some minimal power running to the console still, as when you have it completely unplugged, the wii has no source of power at all.by ChuckBartowski - Homebrew Applications
