When I said I wouldn't be able to get here anymore I was referring to the possibility this site be blacklisted, meaning it cannot be accessed from within the US, which is possible, however unlikely. Now that I've gotten some much needed sleep and read it all over again a few times I'm not concerned at all that the site would be shut down. Also I feel the need to apologize. Anyone heard of this? This is NOT good... I don't know that it would affect this website, but it certainly is possible! It certainly will affect a large portion of other websites, some I could care less about, but there are legit websites out there all over the place that could be shutdown with or without real reason if this passes. Apparently nobody else has tried it yet. I've had a pretty good experience playing Silent Hill on it. Runs a little fast for the most part, but I'm sure tweaking the settings will fix that. Easy to use the menus (which is awesome!), which represent the Wii64 1.1 menus. Only issue with the menu is the way the buttons are configured... Nightwishfan1, umm, what start menu? Didn't exist in Windows 3.11. I could believe an install is necessary on the Wii anyway though... unfortunate, but that's okay if it will work after all. Were you able to use the Wii-mote to manipulate the mouse movement inside of Windows? Cool, I just see every so often a topic about wanting an OS like Windows and I thought, we already have DOS pretty much, so why not install Windows then? I figure 3.11 has some low requirements, but I suppose it would need to be changed a bit to support the Wii-mote as a mouse, unless DOS-Box - Wii has that option already. Hey, I'm new to Linux altogether and recently installed it on my Wii using Whiite-Linux. After reading around I've found people stating there is a GUI somewhere in there... my question is where? All I get is a DOS prompt that is rather useless as far as I can tell... I did login to Linux but it didn't seem to accomplish much.by Kammesennin - Wii Linux

Yeah, the Mario Kart was a bad example I think. But Doomed looks good enough to try *downloading* so I'll look into it and maybe change my opinion slightly, but regardless... w/o some programming knowledge/skill, nothing all that great is coming out of GM. Not familiar with svn repository or issue tracker, but I reported a bug to the best of my abilities. If you need more info ask here or IRC, I'm usually on as Kammesenn since it won't allow Kammesennin... And is that really Q3Rev I see there!? Oh God my dreams are coming true! If I can use custom maps on it, I'll never shut my Wii off again! I may even continue my OoT maps and fiby Kammesennin - Homebrew Applications

Though I agree it's wonderful that someone made a program that allows programming "n00bz" (such as myself) to create some simple homebrew apps... I really don't think this particular program should be supported here unless all the proper licensing is taken care of. But even if that were to happen I feel it should be kept to the Off Topic section considering everybody here contributing tby Kammesennin - Feedback & Support

If you have a way of getting video on your tv from your pc... then it's as easy as that. Hook Wii into PC and hook PC into TV and there you go. That's how I made a lot of my Halo 2 videos back in those days.by Kammesennin - Getting Started

To my knowledge the menus found on DVD's don't work in MPlayer CE (or anything else on the Wii for that matter), you simply have to select which Title to watch from the player menu.by Kammesennin - Getting Started

I certainly agree that we need a Wii-Linux forum. The guides out there aren't that wonderful, and as someone who has never used Linux before I would certainly appreciate an easy to find place to discuss it, and begin to comprehend it. I think the majority of us agree that avatars have no place here. I feel they would distract from the down-to-business feel of the forum. I come here and stby Kammesennin - Feedback & Support

So in other words, practically all plug n play USB devices are compatible to some extent? Thank you very much for your assistance, Arikado. An answer like that is plenty enough for me. I'm not exactly up to formatting my HDD at the moment so I'll give MPlayer CE a whirl with my HDD attached, and if for some reason it doesn't work... Sorry, didn't even think about the link, lol. Well, at the moment I'm using DMP (Dragon Media Player), which I believe has some USB support, I just can't seem to find anything here, on google, or on youtube showing/listing any compatible USB devices.
