Quotedarklinkyeah bannerbomb wasnt working for some ppl maybe thats why they released that exploit but htey still should have waited though -.- Why wait? It'll either push back Nintendo's next update while they check their fix on this exploit doesn't kill Wii's (prolonging the life of BannerBomb), or it won't make the next update anyway... Took them one heck of a lonby whodares - Offtopic
QuoteSifJarI'd say HVS know the wii more than twiizers, seeing as they have access to the official SDK, and info from Nintendo and stuff like that. No offence to twiizers, they're pretty awesome. Actually, they probably don't. The SDK will most likely hide the technical details in the same way as libogc hides things from the homebrew developerby whodares - Offtopic
His books are funny! Very funny! Sometimes a little odd (what isn't?), but always funny. I've ended up buying nealy all his books after first readomg "The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocolypse"! :-D Awesome!by whodares - Offtopic
Yes, you'd need something to install the hooks before loading the game. Before you go getting too excited though, whilst it is technically possible, I would very much doubt it would run smoothly. Code hacks via Ocarina and GeckoOS only require a few instructions to overwrite memory addresses, therefore these a pretty much unnoticable. However, loading MP3's off an SD card, decoding thby whodares - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoI know. And like I said, its impossible. I could give you a technical reason if you desire it. That's not strictly true. We argued this case with the guy who wanted a video recorder. You can add a callback hack on the video or joypad interrupts before loading the game. However, you will receive performance issues, and may incur other issues during the game (such as running out ofby whodares - Homebrew General
I suggest reading this book ;-) Tells you everything.by whodares - Offtopic
You can either install the Homebrew Channel (HBC), or put the games (one at a time) in the root of the SD card and execute the Twilight hack. The HBC is probably your best betby whodares - Getting Started
I really liked Windows 2000 despite the number of security flaws in it (I was never affected by any of them). There's also an operating system called Menuet -- -- which is pretty cool. I've not tried any of the latest updates though.by whodares - Offtopic
Looks like it must be if it's restricted to Official Nintendo Developers. Could always try dotGNU insteadby whodares - Coding
Yeah, I read the stuff on there, but I didn't find a copy of the image they used or any of the "advisories" released during the game. Maybe I just missed themby whodares - Offtopic
I don't know if anybody else was interested in this, but I've finally found some information about itby whodares - Offtopic
I'm assuming there would still be some remnants of the homebrew channel in memory as it launches your program; but I suppose you can't really rely on this. Maybe you add a check to the SD:/apps/your app/boot.dol; This way they'd need it on the SD card and the SD card in the machine (which is what a channel install is designed to get around). Of course, these aren't infalby whodares - Offtopic
It involves creating a banner (as no real toolset has been released to the public, these are edited banners from other channels), and installing the app, with the banner and a NAND loader using fakesigning (or other exploit) Technically, you could get away without installing a banner, and you'll just get a black screen in your channelby whodares - Getting Started

Sorry, not quite sure what you're asking for. Are you asking how to read the input to accomplish this, or how to make a character jump?by whodares - Offtopic
QuoteiofthestormI personally don't like it and use nunchuk I find it especially useful if you race in bikes, it's so much easier to wheelie in that to use the wheel, classic, or cube controllersby whodares - Offtopic
As you have a mod chip, try burning the installer ISO from the Homebrew Channel siteby whodares - Getting Started
It is possible if you have a NAND chip reader like Infectus. You'd need to take apart your Wii to do it though. Another option is to wait for BootMii, which should allow for recovering from most bricks.by whodares - Homebrew General
Read this Basically, they distribute illegal software, you have to buy their mod-chip too, and you need the Twilight hack anywayby whodares - Homebrew General
Looks quite good. I definately think what's slowing down my LZ77 is redimensioning my byte arrays, if I swap it to use a MemoryStream, it'll probably be quite a lot faster.by whodares - Homebrew General
Tools->Options->Text Editor->Basic->General, or something like that. Have you got a link for Atmacana's LZ77Stream? Might be worth a lookby whodares - Homebrew General
lol :-) ScummVM is the first thing I put on any machine that supports it. Desktop, PocketPC, Wii :-) Welcome to the forums btwby whodares - Homebrew General
Make a data DVD and put them on?! or have I missed something?by whodares - Homebrew General
Just to be a picky b**tard, it's SCUMMVM and not SCUMMVW.by whodares - Homebrew General
QuoteLegend28469isn't there a way we can umm... "hack" the friend codes and make em shorter... WTF? They're 12 digits long?! Do you really need them shorter?by whodares - Offtopic
Aren't these the same questions yet again? 1. If your modchip supports Trucha discs, yes. If not, no. For the sake of 50p or whatever a DVD costs these days, why don't you just try it? 2. None are known yet, that's not to say it'll always be that way Just grab the ISO from here -by whodares - Getting Started
You could, but you could just use this to access the shop channel without the need to updateby whodares - Homebrew General
