There is a webserver for the wii but all it does is serve webpages as far as i know. there is an FTP app but I think its only used to load apps, but, if it can load apps, that makes it "like" an sd card so then it should be able to browse in the folders of the PC.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I think they are fine, I use them, they don't change any of the gameplay so whats the big deal, anyway this app could be kind of like code manager, look online and get some textures, and then it would save them for you and allow you to edit them and select which ones to use.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
You can create a "website" and access it through wii webserver, or possibly FTPby ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I have a feeling it would be so slow that it would be worthless, it is a great idea though.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
You can use preloader and hack the system menu to load the disk channel with an update skip, thats what I did.by ninjafish1990 - Homebrew General
I still have the same issue, it worked fine pre-homebrew channel1.0.3, now it doesn't seem to work anymore...by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
Quoteaujakevwell its my friends wifi, (he lets me use it) and he has some t-1 network or something... but it only allows 54 mbps. 54 is going to be your bottle neck, you can have t-3 coming in but 54 is still gonna be your bottle neck and I think t-1's max speed is 1.5Mbps, plus over head plus VNC throughput. It would make more since to have wiiTVby ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
Unless you streamed through LAN and not WAN, 54 wont do it, I run Wireless-N, but I'm sure the wii only sees it as 54Mbps, because of its receiver, and I get 8 Meg down and wouldn't try to stream from my PC to the Wii. (especially through VNC, which is slow even on 1Gbps Local LAN). Do those of us that use FTP for the wii have slow load times?by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
Buttons on the wii console, mid (nintendo) game might not work too well, power button and reset wouldn't work, and eject would eject the disk. Gc makes the most logical sense.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I thought it worked you just used the correct code sets. But I haven't tried it so I'm not sure.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
Thats hilarious but yet a good idea, I don't know about incorporating it with Nintendo games at this point, but for home brew apps you could have it flash and rumble, but how to initiate it would be difficult because you don't have the wiimote to initiate and commands.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
My laptop is plenty more portable than the wii, and it has a battery, and has eiser wireless capabilities, i gues you could port apps, but what about loading drivers like Cisco wireless, for EAP fast and things like that.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I beg to differ that it would be the perfect system for cracking.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
As soon as I saw the topic I knew what it was! I agree this should be replicated! @Jellycorona college will stop you for less then a year, then the addiction will take over again, been there done that!by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I actually did not know this either, is this compatible with all usb drives and all home brew apps. I assume so but never hurts to ask.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
First off backups are not allowed to be spoken of here, so i would suggest an edit of that before a mod does it for you..I'm not angry I'm just letting you know kindly before a mod does it not so friendly. Second have you installed bootmii?by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
Well i dont actually see the preloader screen, I have used it a few times when something messed up, but like it said it boots wiihome, so there is no disk spinning.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
I still use preloader, for the hacks and i use it to boot a dol instead of going straight to the home menu, I have bootmii screen suppressed, with preloader loading wiihome.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
QuoteDrLucky:) sounds awesome... I'm geting an iPhone soon (hacked - thanks marcan!) so I'll be on the site a LOT more often... As am I, thanks to work!!by ninjafish1990 - Feedback & Support
The wii already has smtp on the system menu screen, so its clearly capable.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
Im not talking about GeckOS bieng patched...nor did I say that. I stated that GeckOs through Ocarina can load Hex code to patch games. And brawl+ uses GeckoOs and Ocarina to load standard brawl with hacks.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I dont think we support Softmii here, because we dont know all that it does and part of it is probably illegal.by ninjafish1990 - The Junkyard
Backups and wads and imports aren't supported on wiibrew...by ninjafish1990 - Offtopic
It can! Someone just as to figure out how to code the patches.. GeckoOs allows you to do this, Most Homebrewers in the Community play Brawl+ as apposed to Brawl because of the lack of competitiveness in Brawl, and it actually patches the game.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
I have heard some talk of preloader messing with things during up/downgrades...by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
The origional was in flash I started BASIC when i was 16 so its not hard,I wouldn't suggest starting with C i guess you could.. Normally VB or HTML is a better place to start at a younger age because it allows for more learning since the syntax is much simpler then C/C++/C#, then move on to something more difficult.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
There would have to be a check i think to reload your current Version. That would probably be the most logical way, that way other files are not missing that get overlooked and such.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
Some apps that i have tried to run as .elfs did not work but when converted to .dols they do work, but i have .elfs that work as well.by ninjafish1990 - Getting Started
I have actually (because of the wiis non-headset support) played with my laptop by my side to chat with people im playing online with. A Pidgin port would be more logical then Yahoo specifically.by ninjafish1990 - Ideas, requests
