You'll have more luck with ZIP than 7z. I do NOT recommend anyone ever use 7z.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Whenever you leave the game (back to menu or shutdown the Wii). If you do this a half million times or so you might wear out your SD card.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Neither. It says "by author request" in the logs. If it were any other reason, it would say so.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
You could go to the website(s) and find the changelog pretty easy. It's posted on WiiBrew with every update. Don't plead ignorance. And I've *hopefully* resolved the issue with the freezing you've experienced when the auto-update box comes up. I don't design the software to break, and I don't knowingly put out buggy releases. But, it happens from time to time. Itby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Perhaps you should read the readme changelog before updating. 4.1.6 was a new port of 1.52, and with it comes all sorts of benefits. But with a few drawbacks, one of which is that 1.52 is incompatible with 1.51 snapshots. Not my fault, I didn't write emulator... Then today I released 4.1.7, which didn't touch saves, but did fix some freezing that was happening on some games with theby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
A new version will be out shortly to fix the bug. Until then you'll have to sit tight.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
I don't think it's expected, but it is known to be the way the SDL Wii port works. If you want, you can try to fix the problem. But even still, it's better to have the files sampled to the proper (ie: supported) frequency beforehand rather than making the Wii do it. The Wii only natively supports 32 and 48, that's why resampling is required - regardless of if it's in advaby Tantric - Coding
Very strange. I guess it must be a problem with the CIOS or my code :(by Tantric - Homebrew General
Anyone have a classic controller or nunchuk that doesn't work on Wii apps? Please run this test and report back the id to me via email: Be sure to read the included readme.txtby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Or heaven forbid, use a variable. That's what it's meant for, something that changes, AKA variable so yes static int input_version; And then assign input_version when you need to.by Tantric - Coding
Actually the issue here is that the SDHC card is using IOS 60/61 for HBC but because Snes9x GX uses IOS 36 (loaded by DVDx), it uses svpe's SDHC hack instead. svpe's hack doesn't have as high of compatibility as IOS does. The solution is for Snes9x GX to use 60/61 like HBC does, but then either DVD support has to be reworked or dropped. This same issue exists for every other app wiby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
QuotearasiumTantric, you solution is ok if i need to test the sd. But me i want to be alerted whn the sd in inserted/remove (the goal is to automatically mount/unmount the file system) tueidj, i will inspec in that way. And what about the usb, is there a similar ios call? Uhh what else do you think isInserted() does? It does those low level calls to tell you whether sd/usb is inserted or rby Tantric - Coding
There's a bug in your code, that's what's causing the memory leak. fatUnmount("sd"); is incorrect - that should be fatUnmount("sd:");by Tantric - Coding
If I were to program an original 2D game, I'd probably combine code from libwiisprite, GRRLIB, and libwiigui with some new game code written just for the project. More fun that way ;)by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
The save folder needs to exist on the SD card. The default is snes9xgx/saves. Either create that folder on the SD card or change the save settings in the app.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
No idea if Stadium Events, there have been some recent fixes but really if a specific game doesn't work, first test it on FCEUX. If it doesn't work there, report it to them - they are very good at fixing games. And yes I do accept donations, link is on the page -by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
The best thing to do is try the games on FCEUX and see if they work there. Nintendo World Championships 1990 for sure I know doesn't - but has been fixed for the next version - so FCE Ultra GX will have that game fixed in the next version.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
It's saying to create a folder called vbagx on the root of your SD card, and inside that create a folder called saves.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
Actually, the link provided - - DOES just have free, legal homebrew game ROMs. This is perfectly acceptable and this site is actually mentioned in the readme files for the emulators.by Tantric - Getting Started
FCEUGX will load gg.rom automatically when you load up a game, and display the screen to enter codes.by Tantric - Homebrew Applications
1. memory.h just includes string.h, so include that instead. 2. add include stdlib.h Good luck!by Tantric - Coding
Umm, there's your problem then. it should be sd:/fceugx/saves not sd:/apps/fceugx/savesby Tantric - Homebrew Applications
That sounds like a pretty lowel level approach! You could also try something like the following: #include < sdcard/wiisd_io.h > if(__io_wiisd.startup() && __io_wiisd.isInserted()) printf("YAY!"); See Snes9x GX fileop.cpp for an example.by Tantric - Coding
Also note, game-specific issues are typically present in the emulator itself, not just the port. So post them to the emulator team if the issue is present on the Windows version.by Tantric - Homebrew General
That's correct, there is no support in homebrew for "guest" controllers. You have to sync your controller at the Wii menu or in-game with the red buttons first.by Tantric - Homebrew General
The problem is that the apps (not just mine but all newly-released ones) will not reload an IOS, they rely on the loader to do this. bannerbomb doesn't, it was intended as an initial exploit not as a loader.by Tantric - Homebrew General
