The Wii is barely more powerful than the gamecube. You cannot expect it to run videos well. All I can do is suggest that you reduce the quality of the video, such as the resolution. The video cables the Wii uses can only output in 480p anyway.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
QuotekeybounceBut as I said, it lists as up to date in homebrew browser. That simply means it is the latest version the developer of Wii64 has created, or that it is the latest version the developer of the Homebrew Browser is aware of. It does not mean that the developer of Wii64 has implemented AHBPROT DVD access.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
We do not support USB loaders on this forum.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Sounds like a very old version of Wii64, one that has not been updated to use the AHBPROT DVD access method used by new Homebrew Channel versions.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
If it says "Exception (DSI) occurred" or any similar error screen, you will probably have to shut off your Wii. Just hold down the power button until the screen goes black, it should not damage anything.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
QuoterdnckpyroCan someone plz help me out? I'm not a total computer noob but i'm stuck. I'm fairly new to modding and have looked at several diiferent tutorials but none have solved my problem or answered my question. I have installed homebrew channel and bootmii on a version 4.3 wii using letter bomb. I get the homebrew channel with the bubbles everyone mentions and I have my SDby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
The SD card is not the problem. And what do you mean you got the Homebrew Channel to come up? You do not need Bootmii for that.by metroid_maniac - BootMii Beta
I do not know which version that is... So take this one instead.by metroid_maniac - BootMii Beta
Are you certain you are using the latest Hackmii Installer?by metroid_maniac - BootMii Beta
There is nothing that can be done. The only possible reasons for this are that Boot1 is new enough or that the Hackmii Installer is mistaking Boot1 for a newer version. The former is probably more likely.by metroid_maniac - BootMii Beta
Sounds like some sort of hardware failure... I have no idea why the disc drive lights up though. Did you install Bootmii?by metroid_maniac - FixMii
What does it look like inside the Loadmii folder?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
Full .nds games run from a cartridge. Download Play titles run exclusively inside RAM.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
No, and there never will be. It does not work that way.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
QuoteevansdadThank-you SO MUCH guys !! You have made one little 8yr old (and his dad) VERY happy !!! Gecko did the trick.... :) Glad to help.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
The Homebrew Channel is made to load homebrew applications it finds on the SD card. So you would place either TinyLoad or Gecko OS on the SD card in your Wii, then open the Homebrew Channel, then load the application you chose. The structure on the SD card should look like this: SD:\ -apps --(appname) ---boot.elf/boot.dol ---meta.xml ---icon.pngby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
It doesnt work like that. The Wiiware games on your SD card are encrypted with the SD key of your old Wii. Unless you dumped it before you sent it off, there is no way to get the Wiiware games.by metroid_maniac - Offtopic
Use Gecko OS to run the game.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
We do not support ISO loaders, if that is what you are asking for.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Quotecol72What can I do if the wii does not recognise the hard drive its got my head battered lol You make one thread or post, not multiple ones.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Right click on "My Computer", select Manage, go to disc management, delete the exfat partition that exists on your USB harddrive and make a fat32 partition.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
I have never heard of "Exfat32" If what you want is fat32... What OS are you on?by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
If you use Gecko OS, you can play any import games.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
You can, if you post in the correct section. Or use WiiMCby metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
QuotekeoghjacobHere is the wad for System Menu 1.0, from what I could understand. I'd just like to restore my Version 1 wii to System Menu 1.0 to play around with it, and I'd like some procedure into doing it, being that I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to this. Do not share WADs, it is illegal. Remove the link. The version seems correct. That is System Menu 1.0. IOS9by metroid_maniac - Software
QuotekeoghjacobIs there a way that one could downgrade to the "Launch Menu" System Menu 1.0 w/out bricking your wii? Yes, if someone created a WAD of the original System Menu (unlikely)by metroid_maniac - Software
